@zeldassbbrox No Bardock could own Nappa since by the end of the special movie his power level was reaching 10000 and as you should know gokus power level was OVER 9000.

@054martinm Bardock is originally from the TV show so thats what I'm going to use the ocien dub did not make a mistake because all of the other dubs and the original said over 9000(but not in the funny voice). Someone with a power level of 9000 beats nappa easily if bardocks power level was approachig 10000 then yes he would win.

@DjangoEX i dont give two shits about the ocean dub or funimation dub. they are not real! they have innacurate scripts! watch the japanese version or read the manga. bardocks power was between 8000 and 9000. nappa was at 7000-8000. someone with a power of 9000 never fought nappa. goku was just above 8000 and fought evenly with nappa. you havent watched the original version so dont talk like you have. you obviously have NOT.

@054martinm BARDOCK is originally from the the TV Show HE WAS CREATED IN A SPECIAL and I watched THAT special in japenese and his power level was rising to 10000. And before I commented i checked AGAIN in the japenese version and it was still over 9000. I don't give two shits about the manga right now because bardock ORIGINATED FROM THE TV SHOW SPECIAL . Even if Goku's power level was somehow 8000 that just proves my point more. Goku defeated nappa EASILY. If you think bardocks power level

@054martinm The TV show created bardock so the TV Show is bardocks canon.I was searching this fight on the web and since I only watched the TV show I relied on the comments made on some of the other fights. @054martinm In the original manga Akira Toriyama made no mention of Bardock. After the movie came out Toriyama was so impressed with the whole story, and actual storyline that he introduced the character into his manga, when he revised it. This to me signifies Toriyama giving a nod of approval to the movie being cannon.

@054martinm The proof is that after the special was made toriyama took the time to make him have a cameo in the manga. Thats bardocks only story is in the TV special so thats what I and many others use when putting him in a vs with someone.

@DjangoEX yes he did. he thought of the character of raditz and kakarot's father long before the special. but i doubt he thought of a name since that character wasnt even named in the manga at all, nor was it very important to the story. the bardock special told us nothing we didnt already know or care about. so what, goku's dad was an asshole who called goku scum and then somehow could see the future, but never put it to good use, was a waste of my time and of a character etc.

It was a fun addition to the DBZ saga and provided some backstory on the important destruction of the whole saiyan race I don't understand why you don't think the destruction of the saiyan race is not important. He was given the power by an alien race he had attacked if you watched the special.

@054martinm Pre-Dodoria, it would be a much, much harder fight. However, bardock is much more level headed and had even gotten a reputation for bring an excellent fighter, taking on missions that most thought were suicide for such a low level crew.

@DjangoEX how do you know hes level headed? he seemed to get angry pretty quickly at nearly anything. and has even got a reputation for coming back from every mission half dead which means he sucks balls as a fighter and only got this strong because hes reckless and cant fight for shit without getting hurt every time, taking on missions that were reserved for low class scum like himself. no one said it was suicide in the special. theres little an army of oozaru cant take on.

@DjangoEX no they didnt. zarbon didnt care about bardock and never mentioned him in the japanese dub. he said vegeta and the elites were getting too strong for freeza to keep ignoring their progress. prince vegeta was somewhat of a prodigy and if more like him were born, the saiyans might be a threat if they all banded together as a united army. its not like one measely squad is gonna be a threat to freeza sama. he got angry easily when the saiyans ignored him, and when he called his son scum.

@054martinm Even so. Bardock defeated Dodoria's elites and was able to survive a mouth blast from Dodoria who's power level is also far stronger than Nappa's.Also not fully healed he was able to beat and counter thousands of frieza's men some which we also saiyans.

@DjangoEX no they werent elites. nothing in the whole original version suggests this. they were simple grunts, probably around raditz or piccolo jr in power. he only survived because the plot needed him to and because dodoria didnt try. and no he never faced "thousands". stop overrating this clown. those men were probably grunts like i said! no better than raditz! and there were at most 20 of them. none of which were saiyans at all. all saiyans were on planet vegeta at the time except 1 or 2
