you should keep the big rock becuase you could place some types of coral what can't really live on the sea floor and that rock could be usfull for a aneminie
yeah keep the big piece of LR looks good so far with nothing in it haha, gunna look amazing once tis fully developed with corals and everything, make an update vid once a week once you get corals in there :D
You may and probably will experience many problems with having small tanks.

For that 3 gal i sugest you done add a skimmer as your tank will not create more then what the ecosystem in ur tank can handle. Good job though.

the only problem with that is ur taking up more of the water space with rock thus making the water evaporate faster
