Jumping will only make you mess up further if you're going after the small path. You need to remain calm and approach the path with the right angle. If you get nervous, your hands will shake and you'll never make it through there.

i played again today and managed to get four of banana bunches. i tried to get to the goal, but i fell down

how do u grind on the ground to get all of the five bunches of bananas to the goal? i tried jumping.

Ah yes, my least favorite kind of shortcut...the "obvious bait" as it were...not only does it seem like the stage designer is trying to tell you how to play the game, it seems also that they're taunting you by trying to make it easy to see and hard to execute without at least a good feel for it.

Add to that the insult of placing extra trailing bananas to tempt you or to taunt you, depending on whether or not you're easily baited into a second layer of the "trap" should you be caught unprepared.
