Its all a personal preference. Cats are wonderful in different ways than dogs are, so it really just depends on what you are looking for. Some people enjoy cat company more than dogs & vice versa. It doesn't make dogs BETTER than cats for everyone. I have both dogs & cats (several) and I love them all for different reasons. Don't be hating on cats just because they are not for everyone...

Ya'll are funny. I had a cat that was very protective. He alerted me there was something in the back yard, & twice he jumped in front of an intruder and blocked the way & no claws, bless his heart. I love dogs, too. Had plenty of 'em. So many cat haters, I gotta throw this out to stir the pot: It is a psychological clue that someone may be insecure if they hate cats - if they have to have complete attn of dog & can't handle perceived rejection of a cat. Hmmm??? Chew on that a while. LOL

Well its safe to say that some cats are cuter than dogs but dogs are way more reliable besides the point of using the bathroom . But thats a different story. A dog is always going to be by your side and will prtotect you from anything bad. Thats what i love about them

I must disagree with you on cats being more loving. i feel cats will only be nice to you if they feel like it where as dogs dont care if you give them attention. Then again, it all comes down to what kind of dog/cat you have. Each one has its own personality.
