I like this version best, Karl Münchinger and Stuttgarter Kammerorchester. I've got the same version in a different LP from yours. Mine is a Baroque assortment. But these days my analogue media like LP or MT correct dust (that can't be right !). So, it's been long since I last heard this tune. I'm not a music expert, but you can hear the basso continuo more clearly than in other versions. And each melody going together is terrific. Anyway I like this best.
Thanks for your comment. This version is from an old LP I've had for years containing classical pieces that were used in TV adverts in the UK in the 70s. I've never heard a version of the Cannon that I've liked as much as this one. The sound quality here doesn't do it justice, particularly the bass line. I may give the LP a good clean and transfer it again to see if the sound improves. Glad you like it!
I like it so much.I think Munchinger's Cannon is the best though I've listened to various ones.
