HALELUJAH!!! AMEN!!! Amputees can be healed, but not amputees of our species. Apparently the God of bronze-aged Palestine prefers healing squid over humans.
I gave up on arguing with Christians. Even if there is a God, I would never worship one who is so clearly jealous, angry, vengeful and wicked. Christians get VERY angry...insult you....condemn you to Hell...lalalalala I can't hear you.... Then say "I win". Every single time.
Jesus suffered for a few hours, spent 3 days in Hell, then ascended to eternal paradise. Have you ever seen a child suffering and Dying of cancer? God is cruel! Jesus says if you believe and pray god will give you what you ask for. It's in the Bible. God is either ignoring or enjoys acts of cruelty.
what your make believe god does not do science will one day! cybernetic limbs, limb regrowth it all comes with scientific advancement. Something superstition and theistic dogma block.
Those that think they deserve anything will not be happy with anything. For only grace leading to love produces fulfillment. Grace is received when the recipient knows that he doesnt deserve it.
People dont deserve to live. People dont deserve to be healed. But God doesnt act according to what we deserve but according to grace, for those that believe. God doesnt heal in a miraculous way now bc miracles were for a purpose that has , for the most part been completed.
You include yourself in that statement "people don't deserve to live", I assume? If we are all wretched and do not deserve God's grace, it is God's fault for making us imperfect in the first place. If you poorly build a house, don't be surprised if it collapses on you. God doesn't have this excuse - He is without hindrance and cannot be cruel, so what benevolent reason does He for making us wretched? Does it all seem so pointless to believe such sadomasochistic nonsense?
It's good to know you didn't address my rebuttals against your three flimsy statements, but I shall respond to this. After that, I'm through replying. I'm not going to waste my time (or yours) conversing with someone who believes that we are all wretched and deserve damnation, that we should be ashamed of the weaknesses God was so loving to have created us with, while at the same time believing that the universe was designed with just for us and that He has a benevolent plan for us
I repeat my question (one of many you didn't answer) -- does it all seem so pointless to believe in such sadomasochistic nonsense? Don't bother responding, I just want you to think it over to yourself. Either you'll agree or you'll find repose in your only book and continue to revile your own individualism for sake of God loving you for ever. For me, a self-loathing existence is an existence not worth having. I would rather not exist at all and be at peace. My choice. Your choice?
When Christ took the Kingdom away, their authority to do those things and to say "the Kingdom of God is come unto you" was no longer applicable. (Acts 1:6-7)

The picture at 0:55 is actually a young Palestinian boy -- one of countless who have been maimed/killed by Israel. Notive how the whole lower half of his body is schorced due to use of white phosphorus on civilians...
We should sick venomfangX on all those faith healers out there to debunk them in the name of God. Maybe the entire church would implode from the forces of opposing irrationality if that happened. What a wonderful day that would be. I'd pay to see that.
Can you honestly say that and not consider it a immoral statement? An all-moral god would heal irrespective of belief. A mortal doctor cannot, and indeed should not, refuse to treat a patient because the patient doesn't believe in medicine, simply because it's the right thing to do. Besides, how many people die each day, some assuredly praying to be spared, but die anyway. Did they believe, or did they just not believe enough?
@ardendogma ""god would heal irrespective of belief. ""
Not necessarily.
1. It is not always Gods will to heal. God allowed the person to become ill in the first place.
2. Sometimes God uses the sickness for the overall good and Paul rejoiced in his infirmities 1Cor12.
3. Sometimes it is Gods will to do a miracle to strengthen their faith. If they have faith in self and stuff, the miracle would not produce the desired result and would be detrimental.
Nice of you to finally reply. I contend with each of your rebuttals.
1. If God is omnibenevolent, would He not be disheartened by the suffering of his beloved creations? He'd have to be, otherwise He would have to be indifferent, or worse callous. Why would He allow them to become ill in the first place? Is it that God only knows how to reveal Himself through pain and suffering of innocent children with bone cancer? Is that the best way He knows how to go about it?
2. If God uses sickness for the "overall good" as you put it, I would be amazed if you actually explained that to the parents of a child who is dying of terminal cancer. What "good" message is in that for them? It's all very well for YOU to defend this statement because you're healthy (I assume) and your loved ones are (I hope) healthy. Think of those who are not so lucky, because (by your logic) God has made them sick for the the "overall good", irrespective of their immediate pain.
3. Why should God have to prove Himself to anyone, least of all to people of faith? Faith crumbles in the face of evidence, it doesn't strengthen it. The whole point of faith is belief in spite what the evidence tells you. Besides, would you agree with me that this is a rather cruel way for God to test his creations' faith - by making them suffer for the sake of believing in Him? You may defend your God all you wish, but there isn't a shred of evidence of His supposed omnibenevolent.
Just one more question, good sir. You overlooked a question raised in the statement I made long before. "...how many people die each day, some assuredly praying to be spared, but die anyway? Did they believe, or did they just not believe enough?" You say that God uses miracles to strengthen faith - well, for those who pray for a miracle and don't get one, does that strengthen their faith -- not getting their prayers answered? Or does getting their prayers answered strengthen it more?
I have nothing to say except to paraphase esteemed godfather of psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud:
He said in the Future of an Illusion that immorality, as much as morality, has found favour in religion and he couldn't be more correct than here. Religion can and does make empathically normal people say and do disgusting and wicked things and the nauseously toxic VenomFangX has proven this beyond all doubt.
Miguel Juan Pellicer Miracle of Calanda documents a leg amputee healed in 1640. But we all know eyewitness testimonies cant stand up to a "just so" story based on unproven assumptions with fantastic odds against it and a scientific sounding label stuck to it. We all believe in miracles, it is just a matter of what kind of miracles we are willing to accept.
@callingheyzeus Except there are no witness reports of the amputation, no record of treatment at the alleged hospital, we do have numerous statements that he was well known in Zaragoza as a one-legged beggar. The delegation did not interview the three doctors named by Pellicer. And no gangrenous amputated leg found at the hospital. Don't call something conclusive if it's not conclusive. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Don't agree with the statement that is what the Bible teaches. I don't believe Bible even comments on if someone deserves it or not. Of course everyone deserves death since everyone is a sinner. That being said the Church of Christ teaches that miracles have ceased to exist and that they were only to help with peoples unbelief that Jesus was the Son of God (John 4:48). They point to the confirming of the ending of these in 1 Corinthians 13:8-10.
@MrWaddefak ha ha If there is Satan then I am sure venomfangx is his emplyee of the millenium , or he is just a fucking dick, fuck the bible fuck fang
If you claim that God has never healed an amputee your claiming to have complete knowledge throughout history in every corner of the earth you're claiming omniscience. Read Luke 22:50-51 by the way we all deserve hell because we all have broken Gods law but God is rich in mercy & Jesus paid for ur sins so that u can repent & be saved.
@ArboriusOwns But in modern times theres lots of documented examples of cancer going into remission yet theres not one documented example of amputees getting their limbs back. Its safe to assume that a good percentage of loved ones of both cancer victims & amputees prayed for a miracle. So in modern times why does god apparently sometimes cure cancer in response to prayer but never amputees? You have implied its possible he has in the past. That just makes it even more baffling why he stopped!
@thenigotoffthebus I don't know one way or the other if it's God that puts cancer into remission. My point was don't dismiss God because you can't point to a specific case were a miracle occurred. You don't know what happens in every corner of the world. I will say I've read stories of children regrowing finger tips but I don't know if that was because of divine intervention or because they were not fully developed.
@ArboriusOwns Anyone can claim anything using your "logic". For example I could claim the loch ness monster is responsible for making money grow from trees. Now theres absolutely no evidence for this ever happening but lets see what happens when we apply YOUR logic:
"Dont dismiss the loch ness moster because you cant point to a specific case where it made money grow from trees. You dont know what happens in every corner of the world"
See the problem? The null hypothesis applies in both cases.
"Don't dismiss evolution because you cant point to a specific transitional form between species. You dont know what happens in every corner of the world"
The leap of faith of the evolutionist is far greater than a person who has faith in God. Evolution is truly science fiction.
@ArboriusOwns I see. When one argument fails you do a total derail to different topic? Well since you did...thats not how the theory of evolution works at all. Evolution is supported by lots of evidence from various different scientific disciplines. As for no transitional forms there are many; Archaeopteryx, australopithecus afarensis, homo erectus etc. However I have a horrible feeling you mean a "crocoduck" or similar creature. If so then you simply dont understand the theory of evolution.
Australopithecus Afarensis—this was at one time promoted as the missing link. It is no longer considered to be on the line from apes to humans. It is very ape-like.
Homo erectus -They are smaller than the average human today, with an appropriately smaller head (and brain size). However, the brain size is within the range of people today and studies of the middle ear have shown that Homo erectus was just like us.
@ArboriusOwns So Archaeopteryx was a bird Australopithecus Afarensis was an ape and Homo erectus is a human. No transitional form there. My question to you is there are many species of humans on earth white black Hispanic etc which of the species is closest related to ape's and which is at the highest stage of evolution? Your belief demands that there is an order and that some species of humans are closer relatives to ape's than others.
@ArboriusOwns Yes Archaeopteryx was a bird transitional between dinosaur & more modern birds. It still retained many dinosaur features such as sharp teeth, in fact some would say its more dinosaur than bird. But as I suspected it doesnt matter which transitional form I give you, you will always say X is a bird, Y is a human, Z is an ape and so on. This kind of thinking shows you have misunderstood evolution & its gradual nature. Let me ask what would you expect a transitional form to be like?
@thenigotoffthebus God made Archaeopteryx with teeth and a tail. It’s a bird, not a dinosaur. He made many weird animals. There's a huge mouse with a pocket in its front that hops all over Australia, horses with stripes, weird desert animals with humps on their backs . . . and He made some birds with teeth.
@ArboriusOwns Dr. Alan Feduccia, a world authority on birds at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an evolutionist himself, said: “Paleontologists have tried to turn Archaeopteryx into an earth-bound, feathered dinosaur. But it’s not. It is a bird, a perching bird. And no amount of 'paleobabble' is going to change that.” It had a birds brain shape & size birds feathers birds feathered tail thin light & strong bones grasping hind toe birds strong wishbone birds upper & lower beak
@ArboriusOwns Feduccia's opinion is a minority one not shared by the vast majority of his peers who are also world authorities on birds. Feduccia also said this: "The Archaeopteryx fossil is, in fact, the most superb example of a specimen perfectly intermediate between two higher groups of living organisms" So since you are citing him as an authority I guess he was right about that too? Right? Or do you only cherry pick the arguments from authority that seem to back your pre-existing world view?
@thenigotoffthebus It has been asserted that Archaeopteryx shares 21 specialized characters with coelurosaurian dinosaurs. Research on various anatomical features of Archaeopteryx in the last ten years or so, however, has shown, in every case, that the characteristic in question is bird-like, not reptile-like.
A.J. Charig, A New Look at Dinosaurs, Heinemann, London, 1979, p. 139.
@ArboriusOwns If you must copy n paste all your responses from ICR & similar apologetics websites at least get it right. Why are you crediting AJ Chairg with the above statement when it was made by creationist Duane Gish? As for what Gish-Gallop had to say on the matter, heres a little tip: When you think you have found ground breaking support for creationism on an apologetics website copy n paste a few words of the text into google, then read the Talkorigins response to see why it was wrong.
@thenigotoffthebus You dodged my question so here it is again. "there are many species of humans on earth white black Hispanic etc which of the species is closest related to ape's and which is at the highest stage of evolution? Your belief demands that there is an order and that some species of humans are closer relatives to ape's than others."
@ArboriusOwns My you do like your logical fallacies dont you? First appeals to authority now strawmen arguments! There is only one species of human: Homo sapien. And evolution (which is an inference from evidence, not a belief) doesnt demand there is a linear order between races in the way you have tried to present it. Evolution branches out and there is no target so there is no "highest stage" between populations, they are simply different due to different environmental & selective pressures.
@thenigotoffthebus "the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world. At the same time the anthropomorphous apes ... will no doubt be exterminated. The break between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, for it will intervene between man in a more civilized state, as we may hope, even than the Caucasian, and some ape as low as a baboon, instead of as now between the Negro or Australian and the gorilla." (Darwin)
@ArboriusOwns Darwin was a product of his age but Im not here to defend him. Darwin got many things wrong but that doesnt for one second invalidate what he got right. Newton also got many things wrong but again it doesnt invalidate what he got right. And guess what? If it is discovered tomorrow that both were serial killers it STLL wouldnt invalidate what they got right. Evolution is not a cult of personality like religion. Its an inference from evidence. Most of that evidence came after Darwin.
@thenigotoffthebus No you are defending his theory which is based on racism that has no meaningful evidence to support it. It is inferring cause and effect from speculative evidence and fraud. Any evidence that supports creation is discarded or left out of the discussion.
@ArboriusOwns Well lets talk about one aspect of the meaningful evidence for evolution. Once again.....what would you expect a transitional form to be like? And you accused me of question dodging! boy oh boy.
@thenigotoffthebus For example show a creature that reproduces asexually and show how it transformed to a creature that reproduces sexually without saying male and female just appeared. There would have to be transitions leading from asexual to sexual reproduction. Did the sex drive develop before or after the ability to reproduce sexually. Without a sex drive why would any creature reproduce when this would only create more competition for food.
@ArboriusOwns You only have to look at few a generations of Aphids to see a creature transform from being asexual to sexual and that happens within the same species, let alone from one species to another. As for your other questions there isnt enough space to give full answers here but if you are genuinely interested in the answers I suggest you goto CDK007's channel and watch the following vids:
@thenigotoffthebus Aphids are not transitional forms they are fully functioning insects that reproduce the same insect it started with. You asked "what would you expect a transitional form to be like?" You gave an example of what you believe is a transitional form. Now show the prior form and the stage after if it exists.
But lets be honest here, when you said there are no transitional forms you meant at what you would no doubt call the "macro level" after all we were discussing Archaeopteryx etc. So let me re-phrase my question: what would you expect a transitional form between dinosaur & bird to be like? Clearly Archaeopteryx doesn't convince you, so describe the specific characteristics of a creature that you would accept as transitional between dinosaur & bird?
@thenigotoffthebus Before 1859, many scientists had questioned whether blacks were of the same species as whites, but they had no scientific basis for that notion. Things changed once Darwin presented his racist evolutionary schema. Darwin stated that Afr-Amer could not survive competition with their white near-relations, let alone being able to compete with the white race. According to Darwin, the African was inferior because he represented the missing-link" between ape and Teuton. (Burham)."
@ArboriusOwns Good Godwin! Evolution is simply something that occurs in nature. If people like Hitler are inspired by Darwin's observation of nature to do crazy bad things what does that have to do with the reality of whether that thing is true or not? Thats like blaming Newton for the deaths of people who have fallen or been thrown from tall buildings. Think for once. In any case what Hitler et al were interested in was ARTIFICIAL selection which was known about 100s of years prior to Darwin.
@ArboriusOwns oh yes we all deserve hell because this god made us purposefully to be pron to break his laws, funny i think tht makes him worthy of hell to be honest.
and don't give any non-sense about free will, its not free will if u are being dictated to end of story if u cant figure that out u need a lot more education
@cjhmmp "this god made us purposefully to be pron to break his laws" No He didn't. God made Adam & Eve without knowledge of good & evil they were tricked by the serpent to eat from the tree of knowledge.
A got a question...How come God hasn't let you feel His wrath for sin? To be honest we don't deserve anything...lonely because of how bad we are. We can never do enough good to outdo our bad.
christians are some of the most ignorant pple in my opinion, especially the younger ones. you are more ignorant when youre young regardless. blindly following a god that barely makes any evidence of itself just makes you more of an ignorant person
@CORNP00 You aren't right friend! God is Real but you gotta look for Him, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart". (Jeremiah 29:13) God Bless You
It is not easy to explain why God doesn't restore the arms to amputees...his answer from the Bible is right. What I don't agree is with trying to make this guy look a cruel person while is saying something that is held in the Word of God. The images of children make people to believe it is like this, but God do things with a purpose, other times it is consequence of sin, like wars or natural disasters that causes such ailments. God Bless You!
@believeHim8 Your imaginary friend doesn't exist. Even if he did, the bible's not its word. And even if it was, it still would be absolutely inmoral. So stop justifying ignorant bronze age worldviews.
@believeHim8 Asserting it doesn't make it true. That's called wishful thinking my friend, and it didn't work with santa claus either. There are no gods.
@believeHim8 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Matthew - 21:22 So why doesn't God heal amputees again? And, how are you going to explain it without looking like just as much of a douche as PCS?
So god can only heal cancer patients and not amputees? How can christians not ask questions? If god and everything in the bible is true then why go against the way he made us? I can't fuck a woman but he gives me the urge to turn away 4rm it. Why even give me a dick and a sexual desire?
Why would have you a son that was actually himself die for peoples sins? Why create evil in the 1st place? Why can't he forgive satan? Why don't he just create new arms for his people?
I will never understand how some1 who is so powerful and so good would create something so wicked as man. Why did he have to create us with a will? He could've just made us worship him and nothing else. Its not like we would've known wat free will is.
it's ur problem if christians make u sick, not christian's.mentally disturbed and morally depraved?the last time i checked it was christians to be killed by non-believers cause of their faith.who's the mentally disturbed and morally depraved here? by what u've shown here,u can't accept a God who doesnt heal when YOU find it necessary, but, by the hatred u show,u accept and respect those who kill christians just cause they believe in God.who's the mentally disturbed and morally depraved here?
@J0nDaFr3aK Christians have never been killed by non-belivers, name one just one fucking example (Romans were politheistic, that's still religious)
on the other hand christians burned people alive beacuse they didn't belive in their god. it's wrong to belive that people "don't deserve their limbs", it's not a problem of god not healing them, "why won't god heal amputees" is a counter-argument to people that say that faith healing is possible(they don't deserve their cancer healed).
This dude is one sick f*ck. Someone needs to amputate his arms and then we'll see how long it takes for him to whine to that imaginary god of his... Bet a million dollars he'd pray to get his arms back.
Venomfang is a brother with a long history of preaching Truth... of course, truth has opponents, and these opponents will use whatever resources they can. But truth always prevails, and its opponents always defeated. God Bless Venomfang, I hope he is well.
What happened to Venomfangx? was he doing time or something. Last I heard he had to make a public apology for illegal posts on YT. I saw him doing a joker impersonation that was really quite weird. Has he come to terms with his homosexuality? Personally i think he may be an Aspergers sufferer, but that's just from his demeanor.
I am not skilled to understand What God has willed, what God has planned I only know at His right hand Stands one who is my Savior I take Him at His word and deed Christ died to save me; this I read And in my heart I find a need Of Him to be my savior That He would leave His place on high And come for sinful man to die You count it strange, so once did I Before I knew my Savior
Church officially recognized the miracle of recovery leg three years after its cut. This remarkable fact occurred 27/04/1641 in Zaragoza at the Shrine of Our Lady "Virgen del Pilar."this is one of the few historical facts that have been documented well!
It's no that you don't deserve arms. God puts challenges in everyones life. He uses it to show that their is power in weakness. Your going to think thats crazy but it's not. People today have become so blinded by sin and immorality that he has to show he's there somehow. It shouldn't have to be this way but it is because of people who won't open their eyes to the idea that their is something in this world greater than them. If you want to discuss please message me. God bless you.
@MrTaylorBeast "he has to show he's there somehow." If that is the case then why doesn't God appear to every person on the planet at once. Possibly talking to us all through the sun. Demand us to follow the bible. Then engrave his name into the sky for all to see forever. Pretty sure he'd get at least a couple billion converts in an afternoon. Either he can't or your argument is flawed.
The point is that either there is a god who heals people or there isn't. If there is one, and he has healed zero amputees in human history, what does he have against amputees? Why would he heal others but not them?
The other point I would like to bring up is that a god who would eternally torture for the crime of non-belief, while at the same time providing no evidence for belief, is an unjust god. I can't really see any way around this.
@BrooklynRagtag He does provide evidence though. Read the Bible, it's everywhere. Scientists have found where Moses parted the sea, the rocks were split and everything. How can you explain cancer that is in someone one day and gone the next, what could do that besides God. And lastly, how do you explain people who have died temporarily (like got revived) and come back saying they've SEEN Jesus or they've seen hell. I don't have the kind of faith to believe it's wrong.
@MrTaylorBeast Thanks for your perspective. Scientists have not found anything that even begins to show that the Red Sea ever defied the laws of physics.
As to your second question, sometimes cancer goes into remission. Sometimes it doesn't. I have a close Christian friend who just died of cancer. Christians die of cancer at the same rate as everyone else.
I also don't find near-death hallucinations convincing. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but these aren't very strong bits of evidence.
Miracles aren’t a grab-bag of goodies for us to enjoy; rather, God uses miracles in particular points of time for very specific purposes. God doesn't need to prove Himself to us (we’re on trial, not Him), nor does He “need” to bless us. When He does bless us, it is entirely out of mercy.
@HybridD91 You're right, but it does speak about no sex before marriage or if they were molested by a relative of their own gender that would be a crime too. You hear about kids being stoned to death all the time for being molested in the violent, barbaric fundamentalist Islamic societies. The fundamentalist Christians would do the same thing here if they could get away with it.
if it's not god's fault for people dying,(supposedly its the devil's fault or something). u could argue the same thing for pain, which would nullify this arguement that god would allow people's limbs to come off their bodies.
this could get people killed, when vfx didnt say what you made him say, in the context you made him say it. and all the people who love this and put there thums up, is it really good to see armless children? no it isnt so dont say you love it. that makes you evil and hypocrytes to hate vfx and love evil vids that decieve and hurt others. isnt a better example than who you attack. this is sick. if you love to be sick and see this and rate it then i dont rate you
@xXxforkboyxXx Philosopher Alvin Plantinga wrote on this subject. In response to the classic problem of evil laid out by Mackie. In short, his response is that, there is no logical contradiction in the Mackian formulation of the problem. In order to get a contradiction, one must add a premise such as, "An omnipotent, omniscient, benevolent being would eradicate as much evil as possible all the time and for all time." Then would there be a contradiction, but may be a difficult premise to defend.
@xXxforkboyxXx ever heard of a guy called satan? evil come from satan. why doesn't god stop evil? well it would be much of a test if he did, would it.
@xXxforkboyxXx I frankly don't care wether you are on the same page with me, but that's why we are here. we are here to be learn and progress through trials. and god isn't some magical wish granting fairy that exsist to give us whatever we ask of him. he is here to give us strength to endure our trails, not to take them away completely. I hope this sheds some light on the subject.
okay, so if he "isn't some magical wish granting fairy that exsist to give us whatever we ask of him", WHY do billions of people pray to him every day exactly?
@kradrol people pray to him for guidence; people pray to him for strength; and yes alot of people do pray to him becuase they think he is some magical wish granting fairy that will give them whatever they want. but I think that speaks more to the stupidity, or just plain laziness, or people rather then the inexsistant of god.
Matthew 18:8-9 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. (9) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
you amputate to save life, but u whine when God want to save ur soul.
@TheMrChristianboy Okay "ChristianBo"y youve just quoted a load of meaningless crap from a dusty old book written when men believed the sun and stars orbited the earth!
What does "Free Will" have to do with being born with no legs? I don't even want to hear your answer because we have come so far since the bible was written that it is simply not necessary. Explaining the world - science. Morals - we decide which parts of the bible are good and bad anyhow so we can AND do form morals with out it
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
God doesn't heal amputees because if He restored a completely severed limb, it would be 100% irrefutable proof that it was a miracle. God has never been purported to have done a miracle that doesn't leave room for skeptics to try to explain away as being attributable to something else.
If God were to prove Himself irrefutably, it would be going against His own word in that, He is only pleased with those that accept Him by faith.
It would also compromise mans free will to choose good over evil.
When I first saw this question posed, I prayerfully sought the answer and this is what came to my mind.
I had posted it on the site which has since blocked me from posting, and got a response from an atheist that fallaciously stated; "this is a well know teaching that circulates in many Christian circles."
I have been in Christian circles for 38years and never once even heard the topic brought up as to why God doesn't heal amputees. Another atheist under extreme denial.
As a matter of fact the "god" that makes some species reptiles able to regenerate lost limbs he would do the same for humans. This argument is invalid. In other words if we all had the ability to heal severed limbs it wouldn't be a miracle.
I think everyone wonders how life changing and challenging it would be to have to survive in a sometimes very cruel world, without the use of all their limbs.
Geckos and salamanders as a last means of defense can lose and regenerate a limb or tail.
God created them like this to aid in their survival.
Man was made to live eternally with God and
He has an eternal glorified body waiting for you in his kingdom.
im convinced you have to be a moron to believe in this

j919or 2 months ago
@j919or
You include yourself in that statement "people don't deserve to live", I assume? If we are all wretched and do not deserve God's grace, it is God's fault for making us imperfect in the first place. If you poorly build a house, don't be surprised if it collapses on you. God doesn't have this excuse - He is without hindrance and cannot be cruel, so what benevolent reason does He for making us wretched? Does it all seem so pointless to believe such sadomasochistic nonsense?
ardendogma 2 months ago
@ardendogma "" If we are all wretched and do not deserve God's grace, it is God's fault for making us imperfect in the first place""

@j919or
I repeat my question (one of many you didn't answer) -- does it all seem so pointless to believe in such sadomasochistic nonsense? Don't bother responding, I just want you to think it over to yourself. Either you'll agree or you'll find repose in your only book and continue to revile your own individualism for sake of God loving you for ever. For me, a self-loathing existence is an existence not worth having. I would rather not exist at all and be at peace. My choice. Your choice?

@BelieveandtrustJesus
"Amputees aren't healed due to unbelief"
Can you honestly say that and not consider it a immoral statement? An all-moral god would heal irrespective of belief. A mortal doctor cannot, and indeed should not, refuse to treat a patient because the patient doesn't believe in medicine, simply because it's the right thing to do. Besides, how many people die each day, some assuredly praying to be spared, but die anyway. Did they believe, or did they just not believe enough?
ardendogma 3 months ago
@ardendogma ""god would heal irrespective of belief. ""
Not necessarily.
1. It is not always Gods will to heal. God allowed the person to become ill in the first place.
2. Sometimes God uses the sickness for the overall good and Paul rejoiced in his infirmities 1Cor12.
3. Sometimes it is Gods will to do a miracle to strengthen their faith. If they have faith in self and stuff, the miracle would not produce the desired result and would be detrimental.
j919or 2 months ago
@j919or
Nice of you to finally reply.
Is that the best way He knows how to go about it?
ardendogma 2 months ago
@j919or
Think of those who are not so lucky, because (by your logic) God has made them sick for the the "overall good", irrespective of their immediate pain.
ardendogma 2 months ago
@j919or
You may defend your God all you wish, but there isn't a shred of evidence of His supposed omnibenevolent.
ardendogma 2 months ago
@j919or
Just one more question, good sir.

Miguel Juan Pellicer Miracle of Calanda documents a leg amputee healed in 1640. But we all know eyewitness testimonies cant stand up to a "just so" story based on unproven assumptions with fantastic odds against it and a scientific sounding label stuck to it. We all believe in miracles, it is just a matter of what kind of miracles we are willing to accept.
callingheyzeus 6 months ago

ArboriusOwns 8 months ago
@ArboriusOwns But in modern times theres lots of documented examples of cancer going into remission yet theres not one documented example of amputees getting their limbs back. Its safe to assume that a good percentage of loved ones of both cancer victims & amputees prayed for a miracle. So in modern times why does god apparently sometimes cure cancer in response to prayer but never amputees? You have implied its possible he has in the past. That just makes it even more baffling why he stopped!
thenigotoffthebus 8 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus I don't know one way or the other if it's God that puts cancer into remission. My point was don't dismiss God because you can't point to a specific case were a miracle occurred. You don't know what happens in every corner of the world. I will say I've read stories of children regrowing finger tips but I don't know if that was because of divine intervention or because they were not fully developed.
ArboriusOwns 8 months ago
@ArboriusOwns Anyone can claim anything using your "logic". For example I could claim the loch ness monster is responsible for making money grow from trees. Now theres absolutely no evidence for this ever happening but lets see what happens when we apply YOUR logic:
"Dont dismiss the loch ness moster because you cant point to a specific case where it made money grow from trees. You dont know what happens in every corner of the world"
See the problem? The null hypothesis applies in both cases.
thenigotoffthebus 8 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus Hey that is how the theory of evolution works.
"Don't dismiss evolution because you cant point to a specific transitional form between species. You dont know what happens in every corner of the world"
The leap of faith of the evolutionist is far greater than a person who has faith in God. Evolution is truly science fiction.
ArboriusOwns 8 months ago
@ArboriusOwns I see. When one argument fails you do a total derail to different topic? Well since you did...thats not how the theory of evolution works at all. Evolution is supported by lots of evidence from various different scientific disciplines. As for no transitional forms there are many; Archaeopteryx, australopithecus afarensis, homo erectus etc. However I have a horrible feeling you mean a "crocoduck" or similar creature. If so then you simply dont understand the theory of evolution.
thenigotoffthebus 8 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus
Archaeopteryx was a bird
Australopithecus Afarensis—this was at one time promoted as the missing link. It is no longer considered to be on the line from apes to humans. It is very ape-like.
Homo erectus -They are smaller than the average human today, with an appropriately smaller head (and brain size). However, the brain size is within the range of people today and studies of the middle ear have shown that Homo erectus was just like us.
ArboriusOwns 8 months ago
@ArboriusOwns So Archaeopteryx was a bird Australopithecus Afarensis was an ape and Homo erectus is a human. No transitional form there. My question to you is there are many species of humans on earth white black Hispanic etc which of the species is closest related to ape's and which is at the highest stage of evolution? Your belief demands that there is an order and that some species of humans are closer relatives to ape's than others.
ArboriusOwns 8 months ago
@ArboriusOwns Yes Archaeopteryx was a bird transitional between dinosaur & more modern birds. It still retained many dinosaur features such as sharp teeth, in fact some would say its more dinosaur than bird. But as I suspected it doesnt matter which transitional form I give you, you will always say X is a bird, Y is a human, Z is an ape and so on. This kind of thinking shows you have misunderstood evolution & its gradual nature. Let me ask what would you expect a transitional form to be like?
thenigotoffthebus 8 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus God made Archaeopteryx with teeth and a tail. It’s a bird, not a dinosaur. He made many weird animals. There's a huge mouse with a pocket in its front that hops all over Australia, horses with stripes, weird desert animals with humps on their backs . . . and He made some birds with teeth.
ArboriusOwns 8 months ago
@ArboriusOwns Dr. Alan Feduccia, a world authority on birds at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an evolutionist himself, said: “Paleontologists have tried to turn Archaeopteryx into an earth-bound, feathered dinosaur. But it’s not. It is a bird, a perching bird. And no amount of 'paleobabble' is going to change that.” It had a birds brain shape & size birds feathers birds feathered tail thin light & strong bones grasping hind toe birds strong wishbone birds upper & lower beak

@ArboriusOwns I'll ask again: What would you expect a transitional form to be like?
thenigotoffthebus 8 months ago
@ArboriusOwns Feduccia's opinion is a minority one not shared by the vast majority of his peers who are also world authorities on birds. Feduccia also said this: "The Archaeopteryx fossil is, in fact, the most superb example of a specimen perfectly intermediate between two higher groups of living organisms" So since you are citing him as an authority I guess he was right about that too? Right? Or do you only cherry pick the arguments from authority that seem to back your pre-existing world view?
thenigotoffthebus 8 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus It has been asserted that Archaeopteryx shares 21 specialized characters with coelurosaurian dinosaurs. Research on various anatomical features of Archaeopteryx in the last ten years or so, however, has shown, in every case, that the characteristic in question is bird-like, not reptile-like.

@ArboriusOwns If you must copy n paste all your responses from ICR & similar apologetics websites at least get it right. Why are you crediting AJ Chairg with the above statement when it was made by creationist Duane Gish? @thenigotoffthebus You dodged my question so here it is again. "there are many species of humans on earth white black Hispanic etc which of the species is closest related to ape's and which is at the highest stage of evolution? Your belief demands that there is an order and that some species of humans are closer relatives to ape's than others."
ArboriusOwns 7 months ago
@ArboriusOwns My you do like your logical fallacies dont you? First appeals to authority now strawmen arguments! There is only one species of human: Homo sapien. And evolution (which is an inference from evidence, not a belief) doesnt demand there is a linear order between races in the way you have tried to present it. Evolution branches out and there is no target so there is no "highest stage" between populations, they are simply different due to different environmental & selective pressures.
thenigotoffthebus 7 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus "On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favoured Races in the Struggle for Life"
by Charles Darwin Yep copied and pasted off wikipedia.
ArboriusOwns 7 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus "the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace, the savage races throughout the world. At the same time the anthropomorphous apes ... will no doubt be exterminated. The break between man and his nearest allies will then be wider, for it will intervene between man in a more civilized state, as we may hope, even than the Caucasian, and some ape as low as a baboon, instead of as now between the Negro or Australian and the gorilla." (Darwin)
ArboriusOwns 7 months ago
@ArboriusOwns Darwin was a product of his age but Im not here to defend him. Darwin got many things wrong but that doesnt for one second invalidate what he got right. Newton also got many things wrong but again it doesnt invalidate what he got right. And guess what? If it is discovered tomorrow that both were serial killers it STLL wouldnt invalidate what they got right. Evolution is not a cult of personality like religion. Its an inference from evidence. Most of that evidence came after Darwin.
thenigotoffthebus 7 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus No you are defending his theory which is based on racism that has no meaningful evidence to support it. It is inferring cause and effect from speculative evidence and fraud. Any evidence that supports creation is discarded or left out of the discussion.
ArboriusOwns 7 months ago
@ArboriusOwns Well lets talk about one aspect of the meaningful evidence for evolution. Once again.....what would you expect a transitional form to be like? And you accused me of question dodging! boy oh boy.
thenigotoffthebus 7 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus For example show a creature that reproduces asexually and show how it transformed to a creature that reproduces sexually without saying male and female just appeared. There would have to be transitions leading from asexual to sexual reproduction. Did the sex drive develop before or after the ability to reproduce sexually. Without a sex drive why would any creature reproduce when this would only create more competition for food.
ArboriusOwns 7 months ago
@ArboriusOwns You only have to look at few a generations of Aphids to see a creature transform from being asexual to sexual and that happens within the same species, let alone from one species to another. As for your other questions there isnt enough space to give full answers here but if you are genuinely interested in the answers I suggest you goto CDK007's channel and watch the following vids:
The joy of sex(ual reproduction)
The evolution of sex
The origin of sexual reproduction
Continued...

@thenigotoffthebus Aphids are not transitional forms they are fully functioning insects that reproduce the same insect it started with. You asked "what would you expect a transitional form to be like?" You gave an example of what you believe is a transitional form. Now show the prior form and the stage after if it exists.
ArboriusOwns 7 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@ArboriusOwns --Continued from previous post--
But lets be honest here, when you said there are no transitional forms you meant at what you would no doubt call the "macro level" after all we were discussing Archaeopteryx etc. So let me re-phrase my question: what would you expect a transitional form between dinosaur & bird to be like? Clearly Archaeopteryx doesn't convince you, so describe the specific characteristics of a creature that you would accept as transitional between dinosaur & bird?
thenigotoffthebus 7 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus Before 1859, many scientists had questioned whether blacks were of the same species as whites, but they had no scientific basis for that notion. Things changed once Darwin presented his racist evolutionary schema. Darwin stated that Afr-Amer could not survive competition with their white near-relations, let alone being able to compete with the white race. According to Darwin, the African was inferior because he represented the missing-link" between ape and Teuton. (Burham)."
ArboriusOwns 7 months ago
@thenigotoffthebus
Evolution theory spawned out of racism(Darwin) and has inspired racism ever since(Adolf Hitler, Margaret Sanger etc.)
ArboriusOwns 7 months ago
@ArboriusOwns Good Godwin! Evolution is simply something that occurs in nature. If people like Hitler are inspired by Darwin's observation of nature to do crazy bad things what does that have to do with the reality of whether that thing is true or not? Thats like blaming Newton for the deaths of people who have fallen or been thrown from tall buildings. Think for once. In any case what Hitler et al were interested in was ARTIFICIAL selection which was known about 100s of years prior to Darwin.

It`s a miracle and God did it!!!
Church officially recognized the miracle of recovery leg three years after its cut. This remarkable fact occurred 27/04/1641 in Zaragoza at the Shrine of Our Lady "Virgen del Pilar."this is one of the few historical facts that have been documented well!
Second miracle 1640 Calanda, Spain!

if God is unable to prevent evil, he is not omnipotent
if God is not willing to prevent evil, he is not good
if God is willing and able to prevent evil, then why is there evil?
generally attributed to Epicurus but may have been the work of an early skeptic writer, possibly Carneades

Idiomatick 1 year ago
@MrTaylorBeast Thanks for you openness to discussion.
BrooklynRagtag 1 year ago
@BrooklynRagtag He does provide evidence though. Read the Bible, it's everywhere. Scientists have found where Moses parted the sea, the rocks were split and everything. How can you explain cancer that is in someone one day and gone the next, what could do that besides God. And lastly, how do you explain people who have died temporarily (like got revived) and come back saying they've SEEN Jesus or they've seen hell. I don't have the kind of faith to believe it's wrong.
MrTaylorBeast 1 year ago
@MrTaylorBeast They also found the Roman chariots and weapons and other things where Moses parted the sea.
MrTaylorBeast 1 year ago
@MrTaylorBeast Thanks for your perspective. Scientists have not found anything that even begins to show that the Red Sea ever defied the laws of physics.
As to your second question, sometimes cancer goes into remission. Sometimes it doesn't. I have a close Christian friend who just died of cancer. Christians die of cancer at the same rate as everyone else.
I also don't find near-death hallucinations convincing. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but these aren't very strong bits of evidence.
BrooklynRagtag 1 year ago
@BrooklynRagtag Believe what you want. If you just push away the truth it's not my fault. My job is to just put it out there. God bless.

Those kids probably had their limbs amputated as punishment for being molested. That's what the Bible teaches.
TheIntolerantAtheist 1 year ago
@TheIntolerantAtheist You know the Bible doesn't speak against child molestation?
HybridD91 1 year ago
@HybridD91 You're right, but it does speak about no sex before marriage or if they were molested by a relative of their own gender that would be a crime too. You hear about kids being stoned to death all the time for being molested in the violent, barbaric fundamentalist Islamic societies. The fundamentalist Christians would do the same thing here if they could get away with it.
TheIntolerantAtheist 1 year ago
@TheIntolerantAtheist Yep, actually the Bible could be used to support molestation. In Numbers 31:17-18 implies it.

god dont u just want to worship that God? A God who has the power to heal but doesnt, so sweet! u wouldnt be crazy to bow down to that God
RobtheBig 1 year ago
if it's not god's fault for people dying,(supposedly its the devil's fault or something). u could argue the same thing for pain, which would nullify this arguement that god would allow people's limbs to come off their bodies.

Why doesnt God heal VenomfangX' irrational lunacy?
1. Because he doesnt deserve it.
2. Because he doesnt exist?

this could get people killed, when vfx didnt say what you made him say, in the context you made him say it. and all the people who love this and put there thums up, is it really good to see armless children? no it isnt so dont say you love it. that makes you evil and hypocrytes to hate vfx and love evil vids that decieve and hurt others. isnt a better example than who you attack. this is sick. if you love to be sick and see this and rate it then i dont rate you

@xXxforkboyxXx ever heard of a guy called satan? evil come from satan. why doesn't god stop evil? well it would be much of a test if he did, would it.

sooooooooooooo.... its better to have a test, than save billions of probably very sorry souls by this point?
i dunno if we're on the same page with what your saying...
xXxforkboyxXx 1 year ago
@xXxforkboyxXx I frankly don't care wether you are on the same page with me, but that's why we are here. we are here to be learn and progress through trials. and god isn't some magical wish granting fairy that exsist to give us whatever we ask of him. he is here to give us strength to endure our trails, not to take them away completely. I hope this sheds some light on the subject.
kradrol 1 year ago
@kradrol
okay, so if he "isn't some magical wish granting fairy that exsist to give us whatever we ask of him", WHY do billions of people pray to him every day exactly?
xXxforkboyxXx 1 year ago

Morals - we decide which parts of the bible are good and bad anyhow so we can AND do form morals with out it
jpmahone 1 year ago
You say "I don't even want to hear your answer"?
How true when God calls you deaf and blind!
For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Yet another disgruntled amputee, lol.
psmithebay 2 years ago

So sad.
LivingWater4U 2 years ago
As a matter of fact the "god" that makes some species reptiles able to regenerate lost limbs he would do the same for humans. This argument is invalid. In other words if we all had the ability to heal severed limbs it wouldn't be a miracle.
In other words YOU FAIL.
ArnarJohanns 2 years ago
Your argument makes no sense whatsoever.
If you're trying to say; "God who made reptiles able to regenerate limbs, would have made mankind with this same ability, it's laughable.
He didn't give us the ability to glow like fire flies or flutter around like bats either.
Furthermore, your point is moot to my overall point for the reason God doesn't heal amputees.
You fail to express yourself clearly, and fail because you think you made any decipherable point which you haven't.
NEXT!....
LivingWater4U 2 years ago
Of course it would be grate to be able to glow and fly. As a matter of fact having most of the skills of most of the animals in the world would be
the best. If god loved us he would have given us the ability to regenerate.
"If you're trying to say; "God who made reptiles able to regenerate limbs, would have made mankind with this same ability, it's laughable."
Why? Why is that laughable? I don't know about you but I would love to be able to regenerate my limbs. You might understand this.
ArnarJohanns 2 years ago
OK, I better understand where your coming from.
My heart truly goes out to you.
