Those miles took their toll. Mine has only 91k miles and goes a lot quicker than this, man it took like 3-4 seconds just to go from 50-60, it's like 60 didn't want to show up... Still has some power, and I'll never see that many miles on mine, it would die before then!!
hey nice run...that sounds like the 3100... i have the same engine on my corsica but mine shifts at higher RPM's tho mines will shift them at around 6500rpm
I'm glad i decided to keep mine. I was starting to think it wasn't gonna last, but now I'm seeing people talking about their 250K plus 3100's and I'm glad I kept mine. Mine currently has 188,000 on it and it's running great. Just put in a new main engine seal, harmonic balancer, and belt, and it runs like a dream. Found out the intake gaskets had previously gone out, the previous owner resealed it with silicone...intakes not gonna leak for quite sometime now.
watch out on berettas my 3100 LIMG (Lower Intake Manifold Gasket) went bad it dumped gas into the oil and seized my engine up. sometimes they can be restored, pull the plugs, fill the cylinders with oil, let it sit over night and the next day, crank it for a few minutes it'll spit most of the oil out, once you put the plugs in and start it the car will smoke maybe 5 minutes. once the oil is out the car will run great mine lasted a year afterwards gave me time to get a new engine
93 was not the last year for the V6 3.1 my car is a 96 with a V6 3.1. thinking it's stock, but i'm thinking of putting on a new exaust. anyone know how a flowmaster would sound on it?? it sounds like a fcking popcorn maker and it drives me nuts. lol anyone else notice that?
1993 WAS the last year for the 3.1 The V6 from '94-96 was the 3100. The 3.1 was Multi Port Fuel Injection and the 3100 was Sequential Fuel Injection. People still call the 3100 the 3.1, just thought I'd point it out.
@labonna666 Mines a 3.1 its also a 1995, and it sounds great but its wise to drop duals on it, or else its just going to be a louder popcorn maker lol
get a corsicca and a berreta side by side an u tell me. then add the lumina. corssica and the beretta are on the same platform and the monte carlo and lumina are the same.
Nice oil pressure lol

Thanks for the warning, but I relaced the LIMG and the head gasket a while back so I should be good for now.

dont call it a 3100 if its pre 95. the 3.1 multi port is much better than the 3100
stupidplants 2 years ago
the '94's had the 3100 as well. 1993 was the last year for the 3.1 MPFI in the Beretta.

@stupidplants I agree. My 92 3.1 was a rock, and had lots of power despite only 3 gears.

I have the same mods on my 1993 Beretta

That sounds great with the flowmaster. I have a '95 myself. Berettas really do run well.
