Bing sounds great, but I prefer the more crooning style he adopted as he matured. Here, as young as he is, it appears he is wearing a toupee.

the movie must be "confessions of a co-ed" with philips holmes and sylvia sydney, who were both starred that year (1931)in "an american tragedy", the famous theodore dreiser novel. good to see the rythym boys as they appeared in those days, doing their routine.
