  • my kittin did the same thing but my dog bit him then a little bit after he was panting he died and that was today :'(

  • nice cat man i love cats

  • cats do that when they are scared my cat does it in the cat.

  • mY CAT does it too and took her to the emergency vet today but they found nothing wrong with her but it is so distressing to see it.And does yours run and hide- mine goes under the couch or into the bed under the comforter. But this has only been happening in the last two days. Is your cat like this always. Thanks for sharing. I was looking for answers and this was nice to find someone else going through something similiar.

  • My cat only does this when he's in his carrier and if I take him somewhere like the vet or maybe home in Southeast part of Iowa.

  • my one cat did that on our way to camping o.O it's kinda odd

  • My kitty did that on the way home from the vet. I think she was ready for the car ride to be over and to be back in her home.

  • My cat hyperventilated while she was in the car too, but calmed down after a while and went to sleep. Why did your cat get get put to sleep? :(

  • They think he had stomach tumors, but he was old and couldn't hold down any food, and was at such a low weight, he couldn't hold onto anything, he was soo miserable and it broke my heart. I don't know if he could have been treated any further, and if so, he wouldn't have understood and thought we were just annoying and torturing him. I miss him soo much. I don't remember life without him, I had him since I was 4, til about 3 months ago. :(

  • :/ Cats do really become part of the family, its always sad when you think that they won't be living as long as their human owners/carers. It's also hard to tell when they're ill, and when you do notice something, its often too late to do much other than prolong their life by a bit more....

  • @nicolelovesyouh thats so sad. Was he a rescue?

  • @kiki595 I got him for my birthday when I was 5, and my dad got him from a shelter. The only thing they told him was that he couldn't be with all the other cats at his original home because they would fight all the time.

  • Aww, my cat gets scared of storms too, and starts licking my hand like crazy. Almost as if it comforts her in some way. All I can do is hold her and pet her to calm her down.

  • i have never seen a cat pant before. nice cat!

  • thats actually the first time ive seen a cat do that :)

  • my cat squckies does that

  • My cat chases his tail, pants when he plays too hard and we taught him to shake his paw :-) I'm meaning to video tape it.

  • you should! i've never seen a cat do that! ive seen dogs shake, but thats way adorable :]!

  • poor kitty

lol my cat stands up on his tip-toes, fluffs up, and walks backwards whenever i come up to him dressed up as an evil jester (cotume) lol i have tons of pictures of him like that, it's hilarious.

  • I dont have a cat D: i have 3 dogs though

  • in response to your question, my cat does something weird. he always tries to suck people's fingers. we thought it was that he was separated from his mother too early, but the vet said that it's just a habit. it's a very weird habit though. but he also acts like a dog in the way he relates to people and he chases his tail, so he's just weird all around.

  • Aww, That IS way weird! lol :)

  • My cat's afraid of thunder and will come in to my room to hide under my comforter.

  • Huh. Never seena cat pant before.

  • i recently lost my cat tabby she had to be humanley youthanized :(

  • @noobtrap3000 sorry for your loss :(

  • My cat is trained to go to the basement when weather radio goes off. I don't know if she does it when I'm gone though. Last night a strong thunderstorm rolled through the Miles City area and my cat hid under the futon.

  • My other cat sits there in the big front window and goes, "COOOL! NEAT"

  • MY cat gets real nervous during storms to. He looks kinda like your's. He hears thunder then hides in the basement. I'm sure all these summer storms aren't helping.

  • i have a cat that will slink down and go and hide durin storms even if it just rain, the other day she came out of her hiding space and was in the middle of the room and thought the storm was over well she was lookin out the window saw lighting and went back to hiding
