These guys were the best, they were a great team, they really clicked, I would say brilliant together, The Carol Burnett show was the best ever......they still make me laugh, lol lol lol.......miss them
*Max* roasting *Norma* and making her the butt of his years of silently built up frustration is like that of Tiger Wood's former caddie's 2011 media circus moment. Jealousy and resentment.....is a b!tch! Never underestimate what so called *friends* will say or do...when they are mad at you or drunk.
OMG!!! Everytime I see this skit and see Carol's outlandish make up and outrageous facial expressions....my stomach be hurtin' like crazy because she is so over the top hilarious!!! This is what the last of REAL live comedy was like. That crap that passes today's mustard as funny (King of the Hill, Family Guy, Everybody Loves Raymond...) is lame.
It seems to me at times & I don't know why, but when Harvey is in close up as Max & given some of his facial expressions, I can only picture a bald Martin Milner for some reason.
"Ur saying ive gone bananas! That im not playing with a full deck. That im a nut burger. Thats not true, I know why I was called here tonight. I know. Therefore, I will accept this acadamy award" *picks up peguinin*
when i actually saw sunset boulevard, i started cracking up when gloria swanson said "we didn't need dialouge, we had faces" thinking about this skit.
OMG--This is f***ing HILARIOUS!!! I just watched Sunset Boulevard, and my mother told me about Carol Burnett's famous impersonation. Vicki Lawrence and Harvey Korman are AWESOME, too!!
The host, "Jackie King", is played by Steve Lawrence, who's married to Edie Gorme; she played Marla Nelson in another skit I uploaded called "Stella In the Hospital." They were both on the Carol Burnett Show quite a bit.
I don't know the other guy's name, he was a 'Carol Burnett Player' throughout the run of the show.
Totally NUTSO..and I LOVED it! How much fun it was back in the day to watch Carol, Harvey, Lyle, Vicki and Tim on Carol's show. Wish they were still performing. Beats the trash called entertainment that's on tv nowadays. Thanks for posting this.
I haven't seen this skit in years. I have several episodes on tape, but I don't think I have this one. Thanks soooo much for sharing! My face and stomach are hurting from laughing so hard!
I absolutley LOVE Vicki's laugh for Phyllis :p

This sketch, from what I've gathered, originally aired Sept. 21, 1974, and was the second show of the eighth season.
