Great performance. Very powerful! He is an amazing musician, such a large rep. and he does not find it necessary to stick with Beethoven only, like so many other wonderful pianists do.
I am always wondering when we will get more Webern,Berio and all the other important moderns from Pollini. No Bartok except for the concerti.I guess his concerts are relevant .Betthoven sonata sconstantly all over da world. Does he not trust hs audiences. 1989 was a long time ago.Uchida seems to have faith in her attendees. I dunno.
