  • stock rx8?

  • @magiccapeta

In this vid is my car 100% stock.

  • @corres78 very fast, nice car ;)

  • Song?

  • my moms volvo is faster...

  • @Sotka90

    NO,its not

  • @285tradition299hx Well, yeah.

  • I would have that little beeper ripped out soo fast

  • Nice! But i'd still rather to get a 350z...

  • Comment removed

  • fuck you 350z.. have fun paying 30% more on gas than an rx8 budd

  • @MrGGameriNG Have fun being smoked out by a car that has almost 100 hp more than u. :D

  • Good RX-8...my 0-200 times with my Celica TS (1.8 NA 192hp) is 28 sec

  • Wow I just looked up the auto times before this, ouch. That tranny sucks all the hp out of the poor car =/ Good to see the manual still pulls.

  • @wolf1010 auto's only have 200hp

  • my FC ran 11.42@122mph (196km/h) 7.4@95mph in the 1/8th

  • My father's RAV4 also takes 7 seconds from 0-100 KM/h.

  • 0-50km/h in a blink :|

  • +1 for the pretty good gear shifting.

    Just an amazing thing ... It goes @ 9 000 RPM ! AS a Ferrari 458 Italia !!! OMFG !

  • @Francky3084 @ 9 500 RPM* (+500 than the 458)

  • Hows the road your driving on?

I have a 1975 chevy pickup; engine done up a fair bit. She gets pretty spooky around 190. It's about as aerodynamic as a brick shithouse though, and the highway isn't exactly smooth... :)

    ------

I've admired the RX7s and RX8s for a while now.

  • In NFS I'm faster :D

  • nice fake!

  • i love the song

  • i've had this car for 4 months now and i still havent got the courage to to top gear 4 xD... just seeing gear 2 hit 112 then 3 almost to 150... i went straight to 6 and cruised home ... but seeing as it hits 200+ i dont need to try anymore :) lol

  • @Xkmn 200kmph is a joke.300kmph is another story.

  • good gear shifting, especially at the start where you balanced the RPMs with the tires without having too much burnout which slows the start

  • Comment removed

  • Nice gear shifting

  • @Alexminor2007

    Thanks!

  • @corres78 how much hp does this have cuz im seriously considering to buy one and do some power upgrades to around 500hp

  • @FrostedUrinalCakes check the description "231hp" its even in the title of the video roflmao

  • @FrostedUrinalCakes

    231 hp (ca. 210 WHP)

  • @FrostedUrinalCakes Suicide doors all that power from a 1 liter engine... whats not to love!

  • What game is that

  • we can hear the dyno man !!!

  • @mayed34

Trust me, the car is on the road.

  • @corres78 trust me if u go on 200 Kph speed u wont hear the engine rotating or gear shifting as the car is indoor :D

  • @mayed34

I drove the car and i made the vid, so trust me, it is on the road. You maybe hear the hard breaking, because crossing was coming. Nobody breaks on a dyno. ;-)

  • @corres78

and the cam was fixed on the steeringwheel. Why would i move it on a dyno? :-)

  • @mayed34 thats definitely the wind my friend / the road underneath getting destroyed by that loud rotary engine hahaha!

  • @mayed34 Nah the Rx8 has a shifting beep so its not a dyno ! :D

  • there is a big difference between 14.4 and 12.7 just saying lol

  • @DcEvoIX

    :-) Yes, ca. $50.000! LOL?

  • @corres78 that's true lol there is cheaper ways to achieve that number too like an evo or rx7 fd with bolt ons ;-)

  • i like mazda because of sound quality 3 cilinders i love it.

  • bad shifting. but still liked the video

  • The rotative's power

  • Csak, hogy legyen egy magyar komment is. :)

Am tényleg jó a verda. :)

  • @Samedi3

  • @Samedi3

Mennyit futott a motor eddig? Kellett a dugattyún élt cserélni?

  • @Samedi3

51.000 van most benne.

  • @Samedi3

  • daihatsu twin turbo diesel blowing up air matrass with its engine!!! hahaha

look at the awesome video haa

  • my 1.0 twin turbo beeeeeeeps out your 1.3 LOOOL

  • well igot rx8 192hp automatic and 210 its top of it so easy to emagin that 320hp manual high power rx8 can do 260 kph and 200kph faster... ofcoz in stock! pimped rx8 can b closer to 600 or even 800 horse powers - like a fckin ferarri, just na so long time coz rotor engine + turbo + nitro na supose to work long time... the only reason i dont like rx8 is a fckin rotor engine

  • Don't burn the tips off the rotors!

  • you accully did 0-60 in 5.7 sec.

  • NAICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pretty nice for a 1.3l haha

  • @The44445544 Its a rotary engine...

  • @FlUdDeStRoYeR94 i know but still a 1.3l ;)

  • @The44445544 is rotary 1.3... idiot ¬.¬ is normally be like that...

  • @iSwift41 i know... dumbass

  • @The44445544 so dont say "pretty nice for a 1.3" if a rotary 1.3 is THAT!

  • @The44445544 actually..

one revolution of the crankshaft in a rotary 13b will displace 1.3L. one revolution of a 2.6L piston engine will also displace 1.3L. For one rotor to make all 4 strokes, the crank shaft will have spun 3 times. In a piston engine, the crank would have spun 2 times.

Therefore, if the rotary crank spins 2 times, it would also displace 2.6L

The 13B is comparable to a 2.6L piston engine

  • @joealfreto

2.6L engine, you pay 500€ / month in inssurance ?

  • @The44445544

    1.3 NON turbo :)

  • got clutch?

  • @SacreDro Stock is a 1.3L Renesis Rotary engine

  • What is the stock engine 2.0L?

  • @SacreDro 1.3l. hahahahah,

  • @SacreDro 1.3 Wankel :)

  • Is

that Panoptic - Surface you are listening to?

  • @Knas2k is it? cuz i like it

  • Andddd now you're out of gas. Congratulations that's a $50 refuel.

  • I don't have a car??? xD

  • Shit box, very slow acceleration, my 05 E55 does 0-200km/h in 12.1 secs and the quarter mile at 11.87 and it's 110% STOCK. Not on drag radials either.

  • Life savings? Have you seen how much E55s go for these days? You're making it sound like a Pagani Zonda. Got mine for 30k WITH warranty and 38k on the clock. It was from a reputable dealer here in SoCal too. I saw one for sale in Chicago a while back for 15k, it was high miles and no warranty but if you know how to maintain them they're worth it. By the way I'm talking about the W211 supercharged V8, not the old W210 that's slow and ugly.

  • @princepersia1 your an idiot..and how much was retail price on the E55 AMG Supercharged.. that u gopt? the mazda was under 30k..my evo is 120% stock and does 0-200kmh in 9.5 sec and does 10 sec in the 1/4 mi. not on drag radials either.

  • I got mine for 30k, with warranty. Yes it's used but I would rather have a used E55 than a new RX8.

  • @princepersia1 rx8 is a much different kind of car and will out handle and actually hand the e55 its ass in the mountains..even while being underpowered...and your lawnmower is actually more like 300cc. ..but the rx8 is a cool car ,not all that fast but its good enough. i have owned m3's and e 320 and c280 in the past ..im not a big fan on late model german cars..especially the 90's ive seen by far those have the most probs of all cars ive owned and ive owned alot.

  • @princepersia1 ..and why are you comparing two very different cars ...thats like me calling your piece of shit E55 slow and saying the veyron is much better...DUHHH..its a diff car...your 05 AMG still cost a lil more then a brand new un molested rx8..thats like saying yeah the 2011 Camero SS is a heavy slow POS..id Much rather take a used Supercharged ZR1 corvette...two different cars.and at very different price ranges. even thou one 6 yrs older is still a lil more then other brand new

  • @princepersia1 id much rather take a early 2000's Porsche 911 TT then your E55 AMG Supercharged. thats just my taste..im a fan of the 911.ive owned the E class 1999 ,,that was 5 years ago since i sold it..it had many probs, check engine lights constantly, and a leaking head gasket that just leaked oil out the side..and the plastic that germans used back then under the hood was inferior unheat resistant type ,i changed my headlight and all plastic underhood was brittle and crumble too easily..

  • Fair enough, to each his own. Though I agree about the W210, they weren't the best build, never owned one but driven a couple and hated them. The W211 is a good car, I respect Porsche and others equally but this was the car I bought because I needed the rear seats.

  • @princepersia1 also its a 1.3L n/a

  • Exactly, my lawn mower is bigger.

  • he just press the N2O button at 0.15 and 0.16 !!! cool~ =D

  • lol rx-8 generally tops out at around 140-150 Mph you could have taken it a little bit further than 209 kph

  • Jó videó, jó kocsi. De lenne egy kérdésem:

Hogy rögzíted a kamerát a kormányra?

  • why'd you add the gay music in the back?

  • @stinknay its not gay. i think you're gay for saying it is gay.

  • The power of Rotary

  • beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

  • a mazdaspeed 3 would pwn ur ass

  • nice techometer

  • tooooo hot engine like i see?!?!

  • @haselzde that's the engine oil at normal operating temp. ;)

  • cool :]

  • looool 1.3 engine =D

  • not bad for a 1300.

  • Is all rx8 makes tht noise 8900rpm? help if yes o no

  • hujnia

  • Slow vr4 will rape you at half throttle.

  • unless you took top speed limiter off. You'd only do approx. 147 mph(236 kmh)

  • Damn, you launched at 6500 rpm. That is pretty crazy. Hard on the clutch, trans, and diff though.

  • holy crap 205 kmh :D

  • @ceyhan49

    ???

  • @corres78 im just amazed at how my favourite car could do 247kph average with stock engine :)

  • @ceyhan49

Sure! it can do that easy. Some RX-8 do over 260 kmh (GPS) with sock engine and on straight road. :-)

  • @ceyhan49 yeah well a civic type r does an 255-260kph on average with just 200hp :)

  • @ceyhan49 my rx8 goes 285 its a gt r3 2010

  • @ceyhan49 209* haha close enough :P

  • why they didnt turbo these ill never know its embarassinf for mazda bc i like the styling

  • 0-100 ... 7 secs.!

  • very nice video bud,

u put some effort into it, good job

numbers are appreciated, im about to get an rx8 but wasnt sure how fast it really goes...

    tnx

  • Hi corres78

You've been probably asked before but how is with the reliability with that engine.

Reason I'm asking is that I want to buy one of RX8 and I read a lot about them loads of comments, videos, programs etc. but a honest opinion from happy user of one of them would be great.

I don't care about performance or how the driving feels because I've read enough to make me buy one the only concern is if I buy a second hand car with a rotary engine do I really need to worry about reliability..

  • @cezar141285 same thing here... Interested in buying one but not so sure about relaibility...

  • sick and a very nice car!!!

  • They are amazing engines. I can't believe more cars don't use this type of engine. Which other car with a 1.3 engine do you know of that produces 200BHP!

They are smoother as I have driven one, but fuel consumption is high. You try finding someone that can fix a rotary engine, they are few and far between. Even main dealers don't like touching them in the UK. That is what puts me off, together with people saying they are unreliable.

  • @urbex2007 And now it has been ditched. The RX8 is no ore in sale in Europe (Spain at least) because it is not compliant with the new Euro 5 polution rule, the same that has now ruled out the Civic Type R FN2 and the Focus ST among others (the Focus RS is limited production and must have been sold out). It is not a 1.3, but the VAG group 1.4 (1368cc) TSI twincharger engine produces 180bhp on the sport versions of the Ibiza, Polo, Skoda Fabis and Audi A1, in stock form. Downsizing is the trend.

  • Comment removed

  • 32 sekund zadny 27

  • not very fast/quick. but it's stock so I really cant say much else about it...Rotarys are gonna be gone before long. Hate to see them go....nobody knows how to work on em and they burn the hell out gas... Gotta love wankle for doing something different then the piston motor though...

  • that beep means the hot pockets are done under the hood...rotaries are genius yet a pos for reliability

  • Comment removed

  • Gay music.

  • Rx8 is fast but not epic !!! a standerd Civic Type R model from 2002 to 2005 hatchback takes only 19s form 0 to120 mph or 0 -200 km/h

  • Szevasz MAGYAR! :)

  • I wonder how reliable is a rotary engine, Ive heard a lot of stories of them loosing compression in one chaimber after around 50 000 Km...

Is it something the owners dont look after or is it just poor factory build?

  • That stupid shift beep would get really old after a day or two

  • my kawa ninja 636 0-200 8.5 sec... 196 km/h in 3rd gear... :D

  • @fedemetalbiker its a bike... power to weight ratio.... i bet my 1.8 astra has more power than ur bike... but like 8 times heavier.

  • what a slow oil and petrol thirsty pile of crap mazda should have stuck turbos on it like the rx7 or used the mps engine

  • 0-208 in such a short time... But you only get 2 miles per gallon and have a gas tank the size of the asian mans Pen1s who built that toyota.... Id MUCH rather have efficiency in my 30+ mile to the gallan saturn than the short fleeting moments that car has going insane speeds... Besides unless you go on a race track good luck ever hitting its top speed... Also im sure a car like that costs as much as a small house and takes constant tinkering with to keep in top shape. NO THANKS!

  • @inpachi123 actually rx-8s arent expensive.

  • Annoying sound

  • i had 1 for about two weeks as soon as i got it off the lot i hit the highway and was at 145mph in no time at all nice car but SHIT GAS MILAGE 91 octane only.

  • your rx-8 is beautyful and 27.2 sec to 200kph AMAZING.

  • fuck, why does it beeeeep all the time coming close to 9k rpm? stupid japanese rice cooker. such a wonderful car and then this noice.

  • rx8 is one of the best looking cars & most balanced car in the world & unique rotary engine. if you have the money to afford it why not. a really love mine 2006 auto.

turn heads, check : "rx8 mx5 my sport cars"

  • i love rotary sound & drives like no other every one is looking at you.check mines

    "rx8 mx5 my sport cars"

  • @ripdogcunt

This is an aceleration vid, not a topspeed vid. My best was 247 kph but it was not the topspeed nearly, i had to brake, becouse the trafic. I think my 8 can broke 255 kph easily on flat road.

I do 0-220 in 39,2 sec. And you?

  • @corres78 yeah inet battle OMFG .... kids

  • @corres78 Official by the book top speed for the 231cv version is 235km/h. In a magazine test I have, however, they clocked the top speed at 233km/h, I doubt that in stock form can pass 250km/h. For the power maybe, but the torque is limiting it to fight against the air pressure, that's why other cars with comparable power but more torque can reach a bit higher speed, like a BMW 330ci 231cv (250+ km/h)

  • @alamos8

Yes, you are right. But many people on the RX-8 Forums had over 250 km/h and with stock wheels and on straight road. Some of them over 260 km/h ;-)

  • @corres78 Then it must be difference between indicated speed and real speed. At 200+ the diference usually is superior to 10km/h. The same occurs with my car, I have a Scirocco 2.0TSI which has also an official 235km/h top speed and there are also vids with speedo readouts in the 250 zone

  • @corres78 Nevertheless, I like the RX8, A good friend of mine has one in black with brown leather and I like it. It would be bettr though with a little more torque, you have to drive stressed to keep up with turbo'ed 2-liters like mine. He drove my Scirocco and he subjetively feels it a bit faster than his RX8, precisely in 4th, 5th and 6th. That must be for the torque, as the horsepower is slightly less. But, hey, then RX8 imore fun to drive, being RWD...

  • @corres78 Yes but in their description they often subscribe that they are going downhill with 250 or 260 and not in the europa. I have one 192HP with new Airblow system and i go straight, no downhill MAX 235 on 3KM.

  • @alamos8 (adding to corres78's comment) the torgue issue u pointed out who cares abnout that making the speed when it revs that high

  • @alamos8 The argument about power vs. torque is incorrect. Sure, torque at the tires is what counts, but for a given speed (revolutions/sec) and power, it's constant. Similarly, the force the car needs to overcome that of air's, is determined by power/speed. To reach a specific speed, it doesn't matter where the power comes from. It's always about the power :-)

  • @alamos8 Top speed is determined by power, drag, and gear ratio, NOT torque. When you do work against a force, in this case 'air pressure' as you call it, you use power. When the power consumed by resistive forces is equal to the power produced by the engine, you no longer accelerate.

The torque characteristic of an engine tells you how it develops its power, not how it performs. Hence the similar 0-60 times of the 330 and RX8.

  • @BigGee84 I always read that torque is the actual output of the engine, and power is a math calculation relating power to rpm. As a comparison, two cars with equal power, let's say 150bhp, but one with more torque than the other (turbodiesel vs NA petrol), the first could climb up a steeper hill or pull a heavier load. Isn't that the same to being able to push against a force like the air?

  • @alamos8 I made a writing mistake: power is a mth calculation relating torque to rpm, not power to rpm... sorry :P

  • @alamos8 In fact, in the end all that count is the torque applied to the wheels, that can be increased by lowering the gear ratios in a high-revving engine like the Rx8's

  • @alamos8 People can relate to torque much more easily than power, since it is a force. However, torque by itself does nothing. To do useful work, you need that force to act on a moving object (crank shaft). Now you can either have a big force applied to a slower moving object, or a smaller force applied to a faster object. The work done by either in any given amount of time will be the same. Imagine a cyclist riding up a hill. If he changes up a few gears, he has to apply a bigger force...

  • @alamos8 ... to the pedals to maintain the same power, and therefore go up the hill at the same speed. Back to the petrol vs diesel debate, at the same RPM, a diesel will develop more power than a petrol. This leads people to erroneously conclude that the diesel's extra torque makes it faster than an equally powerful petrol. In order to access the petrol's peak power, more revs are required. When both engines produce the same power, they perform equally.

  • @alamos8 No you have it totally wrong.

Torque has no effect on top speed it's the power that is important.

  • @HolyFuckinShitBatman Well, you must be right since several comments pointed me to that. But it is clear to me that on a high-power low-torque engine, you must have lower gear ratios to increase the torque at the wheels using high-rpms. On the example of a cyclist riding up a hill, if he use low gears he must pedal faster to maintain certain speed, but he needs to apply low torque. If he uses high gears, he can pedal slower, but needs to apply much higher torque to maintain speed...

  • @HolyFuckinShitBatman ... so that means that power can be traded for torque at the wheels using the high rpms and lower gear ratios. So yes, speed depends on power... just because you can trade it for torque at the wheels using gear ratios, given that all high-power, low-torque engines can reach higher rpms that high-torque lower-power engines like a TDI, which with low rpms, need higher gear ratios to reach certain speed, thus sacrificing part of the torque at the wheels.

  • @HolyFuckinShitBatman Finally, what I want to say is that two cars, one with 200bhp and 200Nm at 6000rpm (NA), and other with 200bhp but 320Nm at the same 6000rpm (Turbo), with same gear ratios the latter could maybe reach a higher top speed if the 6th gear is high enough so that the NA car can reach a limit a little below red-line at which it cannot keep accelerating because cannot win over the air force, but the higher torque can still push until the red-line. In this contest, the torque won.

  • @alamos8 Apparently you still haven't grasped why torque alone does not determine performance, despite a rather thorough explanation on my part. A car will ONLY continue to accelerate while the power its engine produces exceeds the power consumed by resistive forces. All this 'torque can push to the red line better' bollocks is anecdotal and totally founded upon driver bias, not real data. Don't believe me? Watch this: watch?v=3bsn1pn1QBI

  • @alamos8 ..."In this contest, the torque won."

Have you even tried to find evidence that supports your theory? You're suggesting that torque determines top speed, but the fastest cars in the world are ALL petrol!

Your assertion is based upon 'hunches' and misconceptions.
