same power, if you put two stock ones in the long run 300zx would take the vr4 because of its weight but in this race the vr4 lost because of the launch. by far i can say that launch was the worse one ive seen. made respect for both cars, i got a vr4.

Ate him alive from a dig. But in a 35, and a 50 mph roll i still got him both times. I mean he kept up a litte better but all in all it was a good run.

@brianprime He's wrong, please unlearn that. Here's facts if you want to learn. Stock turbos are TD04-9B's on ALL 3000GT/GTO's. In the UK there was a dealer option for TD04-13G's (slightly larger turbines). As part of The Gentlemen's Agreement the Japan bound ones were limited to 280hp, by boost, not turbo size. Probably way more than you cared to know.

I've seen one vr4 in the 9's.

@joe10toes Well here in the US the Z32 300ZX NA has 222 hp/198lbft while the tt models get 300hp/283lbft. I will admit, the 280ZX is ugly, but the 280Z looks good still. From my understanding, the 280Z was a US only model or a North America only model. 1977 and 1978 280Z's get oversized 5mph bumpers thanks to some bullshit US crash safety laws. But I'll admit, the supra dude is talkin out his ass. I say fuck mods, go stock vs stock cuz my 280Z could rape anything if I V8 in it just for example.

Both are NA that's for sure, and the 3000gt has a HORRIBLE exhaust.
But even if they were both TT the Z would have still won, though the race would have gone a little different, with the 3000gt pulling away from a stop and the Z catching up and passing towards the end.

After watching this agian the 300ZX may have been a n/a. I didn't here any BOV (though the stockers are quiet as hell) and they looked to run pretty evenly after the endless time of no traction. 300ZX will have the advatage off the line due to RWD instead of the FWD SL.

Actully everyone I used to own all the cars. a 24v 3000gt is faster than the NA 300zx not by much but it does pull little better than my 5 speed NA 300 and i raced a NA supra almost same differance the FWD seems to hook better.

That is definitely not a VR4...SL with mods maybe, but definitely not a VR4. Anyone with any mods can beat anyone just about. Put the VR4 on a level playing ground, from a start it will wax just about anything with equal horsepower...I love how people hate on a car.
dud u need to look around Vr4's smoke supra's 300zx's the lot down a 1/4mile best 300zx ive seen does mid 9's while most Vr4's pull low 9's to mid 8's. also check out alot of the circuit races between vr4's against tt 300zx's the are the bottom of the barrel in its class yeat another piece of nissan trash
umm skylines are over rated cuz of 2F2F movie , same with supras but they all make around same range of power and pull very similar 1/4 mile times stock , it just depends how much after market u put in a car how much you gut it out and how much money you put into it!
The 3000gt vr4 is the most overlooked super car, it is actually faster than all of its competitors, stock for stock, including tt supras, tt 300zx, and the skyline gtr.
sainest words ive heard all day, 0 to 60 none of those have anything on the 3kgt TT , cuz of its infamous from stop jump due to AWDand to twin 9bs that are perfect for low rpm but after bigger turbos on skylines kick in ,u do need some upgrades to catch a skyline later , but stock all numbers a very similar.

I would choose the 300zx, one because its faster, especially the twin turbo models, two becuase its rear wheel drive so you can drift and do donuts, the 3000gt sl is front wheel drive like those ricer civics. Plus The 300zx has way more potential then the 3000gt.
lol..the 300zx is much better. Their lighter, make WAY more parts for them, and it's a NISSAN! =). . .I had a 95 300zx TT and it was awesome. I would stay away from the 96 300zx because in 96 NISSAN took out the Variable cam timing. Anyway, here are some websites for parts if you need them.

Buy the 300ZX N/A if you can't find a VR4 in your budget. It has more basic options plus RWD vs FWD. If you're comparing a 300Z TT to a VR4...my choice is VR4 but that's my opinion.

well thats good you beat a 300zx that was only at 9psi. when i raced this guy i was only at 7 psi. thats as low as i could make it go just to make the race a lil closer. on the other hand im peaking 16psi. so about that race about ur stealth find some else buddy.

@mikethatdude1 obviously never owned a 300zx, as you see in the video, i think it won. they wont even come close to a 300zx, if you beat one he was either asleep or a non turbo. dont know much about the vr4, presuming they are the same as a gto, not a chance. i have had 2 supras, 3 300zx's and 2 gto,s, all twin turbo. the gto didnt rev as well as the 300zx, the supra was quicker as it was lighter, but not by much. the 300zx's are also far easier to mod up, mine is 480bhp,

I have the same car as him but mine is twin turbo converted (NOT A VR4) and i have race remix30us too from a launch and highway and it was pretty. 6-7 cars length and that was 5psi of boost. He told me about this race and i was in san antonio at that time. Hopefully i get to run against you and make it a fair match.:) you know twin turbo v6 vs twin turbo v6.

They lose some much power through there shit awd system its not even funny. a 300zx comes with best engine of its era and has won numerous awards. ferrari even took minor things from it and incorporated it into there cars. mod for mod a 300zx will stomp out a heavy ass vr4. vg30's are in the 6's. I've seen one vr4 in the 9's.

VR4's have fantastic first and second gears, and that's all you need when it comes to drag racing. The hook up is instant. No wheel spin. They outrun a 300ZX in a quarter, mod for mod.

@joe10toes Well here in the US the Z32 300ZX NA has 222 hp/198lbft while the tt models get 300hp/283lbft. I will admit, the 280ZX is ugly, but the 280Z looks good still. From my understanding, the 280Z was a US only model or a North America only model. 1977 and 1978 280Z's get oversized 5mph bumpers thanks to some bullshit US crash safety laws. But I'll admit, the supra dude is talkin out his ass. I say fuck mods, go stock vs stock cuz my 280Z could rape anything if I V8 in it just for example.

SOHC 12v V6 119 kW (162 PS; 160 hp) at 5500 rpm (this one really sucks!)
DOHC 24v V6 165 kW (224 PS; 221 hp) at 6000 rpm
DOHC 24v V6 twin turbo 206 kW (280 PS; 276 hp) at 6000 rpm

Both are NA that's for sure, and the 3000gt has a HORRIBLE exhaust.
But even if they were both TT the Z would have still won, though the race would have gone a little different, with the 3000gt pulling away from a stop and the Z catching up and passing towards the end.

After watching this agian the 300ZX may have been a n/a. I didn't here any BOV (though the stockers are quiet as hell) and they looked to run pretty evenly after the endless time of no traction. 300ZX will have the advatage off the line due to RWD instead of the FWD SL.

Actully everyone I used to own all the cars. a 24v 3000gt is faster than the NA 300zx not by much but it does pull little better than my 5 speed NA 300 and i raced a NA supra almost same differance the FWD seems to hook better.
My RT TT defnly faster than a TT 300 stock to stock

That is definitely not a VR4...SL with mods maybe, but definitely not a VR4. Anyone with any mods can beat anyone just about. Put the VR4 on a level playing ground, from a start it will wax just about anything with equal horsepower...I love how people hate on a car.

dud u need to look around Vr4's smoke supra's 300zx's the lot down a 1/4mile best 300zx ive seen does mid 9's while most Vr4's pull low 9's to mid 8's. also check out alot of the circuit races between vr4's against tt 300zx's the are the bottom of the barrel in its class yeat another piece of nissan trash

I would choose the 300zx, one because its faster, especially the twin turbo models, two becuase its rear wheel drive so you can drift and do donuts, the 3000gt sl is front wheel drive like those ricer civics. Plus The 300zx has way more potential then the 3000gt.

lol..the 300zx is much better. Their lighter, make WAY more parts for them, and it's a NISSAN! =). . .I had a 95 300zx TT and it was awesome. I would stay away from the 96 300zx because in 96 NISSAN took out the Variable cam timing. Anyway, here are some websites for parts if you need them.

Buy the 300ZX N/A if you can't find a VR4 in your budget. It has more basic options plus RWD vs FWD. If you're comparing a 300Z TT to a VR4...my choice is VR4 but that's my opinion.

@mikethatdude1 obviously never owned a 300zx, as you see in the video, i think it won. they wont even come close to a 300zx, if you beat one he was either asleep or a non turbo. dont know much about the vr4, presuming they are the same as a gto, not a chance. i have had 2 supras, 3 300zx's and 2 gto,s, all twin turbo. the gto didnt rev as well as the 300zx, the supra was quicker as it was lighter, but not by much. the 300zx's are also far easier to mod up, mine is 480bhp,

I have the same car as him but mine is twin turbo converted (NOT A VR4) and i have race remix30us too from a launch and highway and it was pretty. 6-7 cars length and that was 5psi of boost. He told me about this race and i was in san antonio at that time. Hopefully i get to run against you and make it a fair match.:) you know twin turbo v6 vs twin turbo v6.
