@HerrHitlersReich I agree, he could have been the Führer during the war if Hitler was in some way incapacitated. Because he had become the natural successor, partly due to his speech-making skills. But I doubt he would have risen to become the leader of the party and eventually become the chancellor if Hitler was absent during the early years 1919-1933.
Goebbels only worked as competently as he did because of Hitler's presence, he constantly wanted to please him.

@ShapurKing Neither does Hitler for that matter, but they believed they were on earth to spread the word of righteousness and never really claimed to be Aryans themselves. It's a very fascinating dynamic.
