TODAS CANTAN CON SU PERSONALIDAD......CON SU CARISMA.....CON SU TRASFONDO........PERO ESTA MUJER ES ......EL ROMANTICISMO ...CON LAGRIMAS....Y EL CORAZON EN UN PUÑO...DANDO LA VOCALIDAD PARA ESTREMECER........DE MANERA CALIDA Y HUMANA...........
Dorothy never really got to stardom....but her voice was good. Married to Roger Moore and enjoyed local success in cabaret , her main downfall was her unprofessional approach, often admitting...mid song that she' hopes she can remember the words'!
However, good call. Strong voice - but....she ended up dubbed 'The Housewife On Stage' She did well here.
My favorite Dorothy Squires song. I was introduced to this amazing lady, via her voice, many years ago. I really thank Joe for this. Dorothy, say it with songs. Wayne
Yes it was one of Dots nicest with Russ their is another one called Talk It Over With someone from 1962 its great. NEWS NEWS The Legend series next year features Dorothy, and a close friend is releasing a Dorothy Squires cd containg unheard songs and rare recordings So us Dorothy fans have 2 things to look forward to in 2009 thanks for posting this gem.
my sentiments are entirely with priapus 56 over the years it has become one of my favourites ever since my parents went to see the great lady at the palladium in 1971 and left me at home at the age of 5 i still remember it now. thx for posting
I hated this record when my uncle bought it all those years ago when it was released. I was 5 or 6. But as the years rolled by and I heard it so many times ,during Sunday lunch mostly, it became part of my life in the early '60's and after I found some taste and sophistication I discovered that I love it dearly and I'm ashamed to say that sometime it almost pulls a tear from my eye.. I remember all the lovely old people who loved it but are now gone. Such a beautiful voice.
for my mum who died over 36 years ago gone from this world but not gone from my heart till we meet again in a better life your loving son john x
