  • i LOVE this cream!!! the smell is unforgettable and amazing. i used aloe vera gel

  • I love this video!!!! I keep posting it on my facebook page. I would like to do this with comfrey , calendula, arnica saint johns wort and coconut oil...... or should I use olive oil or can I use both? I don't see comfrey on your web store any more. I used to buy it from you.

  • Hahahahahaha you have friends over like every day XD

  • great video Shoshana!

  • I didn't see any water for the oil and water to separate. I think it is a Aloe Juice not gel. Vitamin E is the preservative.you could add a wee bit of grapefruit seed oil if you wanted a non chemical preservative.I don't know if it would add any bad smell but I don't think so. I might add arnica to the infusion if it doesn't change the smell since I have chronic shoulder pain from an old injury. I will research that first to make sure it is ok to use long term.Grate the beeswax-Cheese grater

  • Hi Love the video's! I have a question for Shoshanna or anyone that might know... She said 2 tbls of beeswax but i have 1oz size bars so can someone help on how much beeswax i should add???? I want to make this and so many others but i want to make it right and now waste much! Thanks!

  • @leabella84 I use a cheese grater and grate my bars.

  • How long do this lotion last? can I put a preservative and how much?

  • I don't care how you pronounce things :) I made this cream yesterday, and it is fantastic! It took quite a lot of patience to get the aloe and coconut oil to blend, but it was well worth it. I used different essential oils and only infused the calendula, but the cream is great. Thanks for sharing :)

  • @soapstermom How do you get aloe gel to emulsify with the oil phase after cooling?

  • @SparkMyWorld I did not have a "Bullet" blender, so I used a 10+ year-old Oster blender with a food processor attachment! I guess it took a full 5 minutes of blending to get it good and creamy, but it worked.

  • @soapstermom How long did it stay together? Eventually the oil and water separates if there isn't an emulsion.

  • @SparkMyWorld I have been making lotion going on 5+ years, and up until recently, I have always used an emulsifier. I like this process better because it does not use any unwanted chemicals, and the oil to water ratio is better. Oh, and my lotion is still creamy- after 3 weeks! I keep it in a dark container on my bathroom counter (I added vitamin E as a natural preservative).

  • @SparkMyWorld it was a juice not gel I believe

  • What brand essential oils to you use? And where can I buy bulk coconut oil cheap? Thanks.

  • @flowerpetals1985 Tropical Traditions or Liberty Natural for coconut oil.

  • How long does this body cream last in the cabinet vs in the refrigerator? And does it even have to be refrigerated at all? I know that refrigerating will always be best in homemade creams but I would like to leave some on the counter for after washing my hands. Thanks! Love your herbs, your videos and your enthusiasm!!!

  • I had the pleasure of being at her "spa party" and it was lovely! This body cream was amazing!!! I used it on my face and body! the next day my skin felt wonderful...so I asked Shoshanna if I could have the recipe. She made 2 some body cream to take to Florida with me!!! We were there a week and my skin felt great the whole time, plus I got a great tan! Now I got the ingredients to make it myself! You should def. try it!!! =)

  • ooh! I want some!

  • I need to clarify my comment. I mentioned the pronunciation because selling and being confident about herbs is her industry ~ it's how she makes her living. It would be as if there was a car dealer who pronounced "Mercedes" - Mur Suh DEES, or "Infinity" - In fuh Nightee. Her potential customer/audience is the USA, and she herself is American, so she might lose respect if she sounds like she doesn't know her stuff. I actually buy from her regularly and want her to succeed. Great products, BTW

  • Love your videos! I am not really interested in how to pronounce the words as I am in the recipes...also, my experience has been there are different ways to pronounce words too. ;) Keep up the good work!!

  • How much coconut oil did you use?

  • @mkwd - at about 6:10 in the video she said something to the effect of there being about 2 and 1/2 cups of infused oil, so she must've used about 2 1/2 cups of the coconut oil since the herbs wouldn't really effect the volume of liquid.

  • Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Shoshanna!! I appreciate it.

  • Okay, call me the pronunciation dictionary because I mentioned you mispronounced "thyme" on an earlier video, but I had to comment about how you pronounced "calendula" in this one ... it's pronounced "kuh - LEN- jew-luh"... not "CAL-un-doo-lah" I'm surprised you don't know how to pronounce common herbs that you sell heaps of!! funny!!!

  • @indigolady52 dif people in dif places pronounce em differently but i though it funny she called it calundoola stead of kuhlenjewluh which is how we pronounce it here.

  • @Witchysis31 Yeah, but she's from Tennessee, USA... just thought it was funny :o)

  • I can't wait to make this and I have to ask you where do you get your clothes I love all your outfits threre so cute.
