what a dumbass that announcer is (matt harpring i think). if the jazz miss that free throw, the hornets would have still thrown that baseball pass to the other end to get a shot off, which if made would have resulted in a LOSS instead of OT.

@qetwr111 As dumb as Harpring is (I'll give you that) they would not have had a chance to run down court as the rebound and ensuing time loss would have resulted in the end of the game. I'm not saying they couldn't have still won, but would you rather they attempt a 90 ft shot, or a 16 ft shot?

@emajestics unless the player is on the ground when he catches the ball the clock can not start. t paul was in the air when he deflected the pass to okafor. how do you think teams do inbound alleyoops to win games when theres less than second left on the clock? how do you think rondo rolls the ball to halfcourt sometimes when the inbounder rolls the ball and the clock doesnt start? the clock can only start when a player catches or touches the ball if his feet are set on the floor
