They should have used Climbing Up The Walls by Radiohead instead of Moody Blues. Nothing against moody blues, i just think the other song fits better.
I think that you sort of have to look at this movie from a different prospective. In a sen you have to treat it as if John Capenter's version never existed. Now, I know that for some people that is hard to do. I think that Rob Zombie was tring to get inside Laurie's head. This movie is not perfect by any means. However, I would recommend the director's cut over the theatrical in that it seems to somehow flow better. Well this movie is certainly not for everyone it is compelling on certain levels
the parts with michael myers were really really good but the rest of the movie was really disapointing. the acting sucked the white horse thing sucked the young michael thing sucked, dr loomis was good but everything else was just horrible!

I saw this movie twice in theaters. The first time it was great to see it for what it was, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The second time I couldn't stop laughing at how bad it was.
My two favorite perspectives of a movie: it being so good that you love it for what it is, and it being so bad that you love it for what it is.
0:38 is just so TCM style the van crashing and the dead cow i think rob got that idea from TCM the begining and that music is from that movie aswell when leatherface is doing stuff

I got this feeling that Dimension set up Zombie for failure hear. I mean why pit this up against Final Destination, which(Though not very good) has more mainstream value and thus will obviously do better than Zombie's films which are cult films by design.

I am 35 years old and I grew up on the classic Halloween series... but this film was fucking incredible and the Director's Cut is simply amazing.. its the best horror film I have seen in 2 decades. So I watched a screening of Halloween II and got what I expected: TRASH.Rob Zombie has definitely ruined the franchise.The film was a lame heavy metal video with trashy characters and an annoying soundtrack.Even Myers looked like Zombie!The original reflected a sense of horror and suspense and they didn't NEED SFX.Zombie has NO idea of story or characters.I'm glad that Mustapha Akhad is not alive today to see this.I met his son Malik a year ago and he expressed his dissapointment as well.

This is not a remake this film does not follow the same story as the original sequil, this is a completely diffrent story. This is a sequil to a remake not a remake itself it has a diffrent story from the original. So do your homework before you run your mouth.

i think zombie's work is just too visual and too cerebral for modern, mainstream horror fans who have been raised on films which are made to meet audience expectations, are producer driven and are made to be generic to reach the widest possible audience to insure big bucks at the box office. i hate the way that michael bay and others have McDonaldized horror.
horror films now are afraid to take a chance. they want to deliver exactly what the audience wants to see thus they become safe, stagnant and sterile. rz is a true artist; he is a true director. a director is concerned about creativity. a producer is worried about commerce. what made the original h a classic is it was director driven. what makes the new h films great is the fact that they are director driven. rz has a vision. the frat boys will never understand.
rob zombie is a true artist in that his films reflect his personality. he doesn't made committee board producer driven films which are all about commerce only.
Because the movie was rushed and you didnt get to know anything about anyone. Not only that but it wasnt scary. I am a huge Michael Myers fanatic and i realize this is robs vision and i had no problem with that but the movie just sucked. Im hoping the unedited version is better than this. I am seriously disappointed in this film. I defended this movie to everyone and now I regret it because it almost wasnt worth seeing myself.

you can't capture lightning in a bottle twice. carpenter's halloween will never happen again. the sequels and remakes, etc. do nothing negative to or against the shape. i love the original halloween. i really like original hII, h4, h20. i like both of rob zombie's films.
John Carpenter's original is all we ever needed. More Halloween films just keep deteriorating the namesake of Michael Myers/The Shape.
For the MOST part, every Halloween film that gets released is progressively inferior to its predecessor. H2 was no exception; it was God awful. And "Halloween 3-D" will be no exception.
Why can't the producers finally cave and just spend a million dollars on a low-budget Halloween film with a cast determined to make an effectively simple, scary film again?
so many rejected halloween sequel ideas have found their way to other films. cannon wanted to release a michael vs. leatherface back in the mid-80's. the initial idea for 1981's halloween II was for it to be in 3-d. carpenter was asked to direct '6'. his idea: shoot myers into space. the studio passed. fri. 13th 3 was in 3-d. there was a freddy vs. jason and jason x has that character in outer space.
this is the best halloween film since carpenter's original. part 3 is due next summer. it will be in 3-d which was the plan for the original 1981 halloween II.
And if you guys want the Halloween franchise to stay alive, I'd really suggest getting people to go see it, and going to see it once more yourselves. It's doing good now, and is at $17, but it could always use some extra support.
Bob Weinstein has been quoted as saying that, so for now that is the plan. i went to see H2 twice friday night. i plan on going 2 more times this friday night. i posted this trailer on facebook 2x. it was released in 500 theaters less than final d. 3-d. the weinstein group is having $ problems. they shouldn't have released two films in two weeks and pitted H2 against another horror film.
I didn't think it was horrible but I did find it rather dull compared to the first film. I liked the new things he did with the last film but with this one, I didn't think he gave anything new nor exciting. A throw away sequel, if you ask me. The Devil's Rejects is still his best film yet!!

So I watched a screening of Halloween II and got what I expected: TRASH.Rob Zombie has definitely ruined the franchise.The film was a lame heavy metal video with trashy characters and an annoying soundtrack.Even Myers looked like Zombie!The original reflected a sense of horror and suspense and they didn't NEED SFX.Zombie has NO idea of story or characters.I'm glad that Mustapha Akhad is not alive today to see this.I met his son Malik a year ago and he expressed his dissapointment as well.

People are so fucking stupid about halloween 2 it was great, they just dont get it. All the bad comments i see goes like this "Dont worry i know its not like the orginals.... BUT IN THE ORRG|INALS BLA BLA BLA, they keep saying h2 is a remake, well its not, fucking dumbasses, its a SEQUEL to the REMAKE. not hard to understand for christ sake

This is not a remake this film does not follow the same story as the original sequil, this is a completely diffrent story. This is a sequil to a remake not a remake itself it has a diffrent story from the original. So do your homework before you run your mouth.

i think zombie's work is just too visual and too cerebral for modern, mainstream horror fans who have been raised on films which are made to meet audience expectations, are producer driven and are made to be generic to reach the widest possible audience to insure big bucks at the box office. i hate the way that michael bay and others have McDonaldized horror.

horror films now are afraid to take a chance. they want to deliver exactly what the audience wants to see thus they become safe, stagnant and sterile. rz is a true artist; he is a true director. a director is concerned about creativity. a producer is worried about commerce. what made the original h a classic is it was director driven. what makes the new h films great is the fact that they are director driven. rz has a vision. the frat boys will never understand.

Because the movie was rushed and you didnt get to know anything about anyone. Not only that but it wasnt scary. I am a huge Michael Myers fanatic and i realize this is robs vision and i had no problem with that but the movie just sucked. Im hoping the unedited version is better than this. I am seriously disappointed in this film. I defended this movie to everyone and now I regret it because it almost wasnt worth seeing myself.

The movie was pretty good, some of the killing scenes were just straight up gruesome. The whole movie was good until the last 30 seconds...
My small complaint was how Michael was wearing that crappy jacket(or hoodie??) throughout the whole movie. =/

you can't capture lightning in a bottle twice. carpenter's halloween will never happen again. the sequels and remakes, etc. do nothing negative to or against the shape. i love the original halloween. i really like original hII, h4, h20. i like both of rob zombie's films.

John Carpenter's original is all we ever needed. More Halloween films just keep deteriorating the namesake of Michael Myers/The Shape.
For the MOST part, every Halloween film that gets released is progressively inferior to its predecessor. H2 was no exception; it was God awful. And "Halloween 3-D" will be no exception.
Why can't the producers finally cave and just spend a million dollars on a low-budget Halloween film with a cast determined to make an effectively simple, scary film again?

so many rejected halloween sequel ideas have found their way to other films. cannon wanted to release a michael vs. leatherface back in the mid-80's. the initial idea for 1981's halloween II was for it to be in 3-d. carpenter was asked to direct '6'. his idea: shoot myers into space. the studio passed. fri. 13th 3 was in 3-d. there was a freddy vs. jason and jason x has that character in outer space.

this is the best halloween film since carpenter's original. part 3 is due next summer. it will be in 3-d which was the plan for the original 1981 halloween II.

That's just a rumor, it's not entirely true.
And if you guys want the Halloween franchise to stay alive, I'd really suggest getting people to go see it, and going to see it once more yourselves. It's doing good now, and is at $17, but it could always use some extra support.

Bob Weinstein has been quoted as saying that, so for now that is the plan. i went to see H2 twice friday night. i plan on going 2 more times this friday night. i posted this trailer on facebook 2x. it was released in 500 theaters less than final d. 3-d. the weinstein group is having $ problems. they shouldn't have released two films in two weeks and pitted H2 against another horror film.

I didn't think it was horrible but I did find it rather dull compared to the first film. I liked the new things he did with the last film but with this one, I didn't think he gave anything new nor exciting. A throw away sequel, if you ask me. The Devil's Rejects is still his best film yet!!
