Id just like to tell you, that the writers had little clue about diabetes. People with diabetes dont feel sick when they need insulin injected, and they would never do so without checking their glucose level, and you cant basically feel it if your glucose level is elevated. You feel sick when your glucose level is low, and only thing that can help is.. glucose - need to eat something that contains alot of sugar, like sugar.

no, the guy injected himself with the virus, his twin brother gave it to him in his diabetic needle. The guy thought he was just injecting himself with his usual medicine, but it had the virus in it. The guy you see driving away in the airport and later in the episode is his twin brother.
