The bible is not just a understanding but its a way of life and you do not go on your own beliefs but on the word of the holy book and dont make assumptions of what you think...my favorite chapter is Luke 4:1-11

@smukase It's 'a heirarchy of equals.' Jesus was the only begotten Son, we are adopted sons. The saved are God's children and He is their Father. The devil is the father of the unsaved - God is their creator but not their Father. And Jesus is special for many, many reasons! Colossians 1: 15 - 20 and John 8: 12 - 58.

@SuperJeremiah333 i started reading the bible since i was about 8 in sunday school, but as i got older and started understanding the things that were written in it, it very easy to believe in the creator. but once i found out that there were books that were omitted from the bible and different versions of it, and the ongoing war between religions, and many other corrupting things, i chose to be an atheist instead, but atheists dont believe in god so that wasnt a solution either...

Catholics used them to support their wild and unbiblical ideas like prayer for the dead and purgatory. the apocryphal books are junk. they are historically and geographically inaccurate, too. there are many sound reasons why there are only 66 books. the Bible is complete and true.

@smukase Also, I encourage you to look into Christian apologetics (authors like Charlie Campbell, Ravi Zacharias, and Lee Strobel to start) and consider that the books removed from the Bible were the apocrypha books... Catholics used them to support their wild and unbiblical ideas like prayer for the dead and purgatory. the apocryphal books are junk. they are historically and geographically inaccurate, too. there are many sound reasons why there are only 66 books. the Bible is complete and true.

@hulugal mind you, i m not doubting the bible as a book of god, i just dont trust the people who have had it in their control since the death of jesus, peace be upon him. they are the ones who have created these divisions, in reality there is just the word of god and his servants, religion is a man-made thing. islam litterally means submission to god, being a servant of god. i think christians just have a biased feeling towards arabs, so they also have it towards islam. that is very very petty

@KH13JPLAZMA again, there is no such thing as islam people. there r only servants of god. jesus (peace be upon him) is the messiah, not just a prophet! he will save us from the anti christ on judgement day, how can we not think highly of our noble and loving messiah? he brought us the injil (evangelion), the book of guidance and light, which is the one of the holy gospels that have been corrupted. i dont think u kno much about islam except what u hear on tv, i repeat, very very petty.

@KH13JPLAZMA if u want to go into hierarchy, then understand this. tawrat, injil, zabur and qur'an are gospels of god. these divine laws (a.k.a. sharia) were given to us by messengers of god, who interpret god s message directly from his angels. so a messenger of god is not the same as a prophet. a prophet is like a preacher of god's teachings, he only confirms or continues (preaches) a "divine law" of God. this hierarchy only exists when these "ranks" appear together in the same context

Ok wht are u Christian or Muslim, the Bible and the Qur'an are two different books. Muslims believe tht Christ was just a Profit and he wasn't God and they compare Muhammad like they're equal but the Christ is God. If you're a Christian why follow a book that Muslims follow? They believe in two different Gods. Jews are still trying to find out who the messiah is but Jesus is God to all, look in Romans 10:12-14. And Jesus is God look at John 10:30.

@smukase Our God is not a God of the dead, nor is he dead. Jesus Christ IS ALIVE, God IS ALIVE and reigning on his everlasting throne for all eternity. Every other God is dead, man-made, or has died, or was a man. Our God forever reigns and that's the difference between being a "True Christian" (Son of God) vs other religions. :)

@smukase Jesus Christ is God because he came from God, but he *isn't* God. The perfect concept would be to say (which is very true) that Jesus Christ is the arm of God and the Holy Spirit is the hand and God is the head figure. He's still a part of God. :)

@smukase very true..but it just feels right..the bible and God/Jesus are an experience, if you approach the bible and pray to the Holy Spirit to guide you..the truths will find you. I only stress this one point because Jesus is sooo wnderful..God is sooo wonderful that he made himself human and subjected himself to life as WE know it and was STILL PERFECT!! AMAZING!! and beacuse he did this must we not forget that Jesus is the Christ and our saviour. Jesus prays to God for us all...God Bless
