After the win, Jackie Sherrill starts talking trash to Tommy West saying "Tell Joe Lee I'm glad he circled the game on his calendar" That's when Tommy starts saying "That's bullshit for you to say that, you can tell him yourself, you should have more class than that." Sounds like an asshole thing to say. A coach should just say "good game"

He ran away, knowing that Jackie got the best of him again. Since Joe Lee wouldn't man up in a bad defeat, Jackie used Tommy as the messenger. THAT WAS WRONG. Jackie should cracked on JLD in the post game presser.

blitz is partially right, last was the beginning, but it was also the end, of Croom fielding a team that can be considered even mildly respectable. He seems like a great guy, but all he did at any point last year was get lucky. Take away the three flukes last year (Auburn, Bama, and Kentucky) and State is 4-8 AGAIN

Auburn game maybe, but how can you call Bama a fluke game, and especially UK a fluke game? State BLEW UK away that game, and Bama didnt want to win that game. If AU had put Burns back in on 1st and goal, they would have won, maybe...

yes they blew UK away, but that doesn't mean Kentucky showed up to play that day. State played well, but everyone knows that the UK team that beat LSU, Arkansas, and played UF tough was AWOL for the State game. And, if JP didn't throw that ridiculous pick at the end of the Bama game, there's another loss. That constitues a fluke in my book, especially when the same team barely wins against that conf. USA powerhouse UCF in the Liberty Bowl.

I think Sherill's biggest mistake as coach of the Dawgs was when he fired Joe Lee Dunn...that man was pure genious when it came to the defensive side of the ball.
