If this league has any shot at staying around it needs to switch their playing time from the Fall - when College and the NFL play, to the spring and summer... it makes perfect sense.. i don't get how they dont get it lol..
this league has wayyy too much potential to be a simple farm league. They will never be as good as the NFL, theyre not trying to be, thats why the USFL, XFL and WFL failed, they tried to beat the NFL and the NFL crushed them. This league is playing it safe, and thats why it should stay a while. I think the UNGL and NEW USFL should become farm leagues. The UFL is going to expand two more teams in year 2, the teams will also design their own colors and jerseys. Give this league a chance GO TUSKERS

The CFL has quite a few differences in its rules compared to the UFL and, more importantly, the NFL: backfield motion legal, larger field, only 3 downs, 12 players on the field, 1 full yard between the O and D, no tight ends, slotbacks, one point for kicking team on a "touchback" situation, etc)
With the apparent demise of arena football and all those players league-less, I think the UFL could be a decent league right off the bat and a much better minor league for the NFL that the CFL could be.
id really like to see this due to the fact its running the same time as NFL. this should be very interesting. im pretty pshyced to see both leagues kickoffs
what is UFL will someone explane. is it like the people who dont make the NFL? or is it like the minior leagues like baseball has? im really confused whats the point of this if we have NFL. is there going to be diffrent rules?

UFL is kind of like XFL and Arena Football.. someone always tries to make something new with something that already exsists. this will be made up of people that wont make the NFL, because im sure if they had the choice between this and nfl they would pick nfl. I'm sticking with the NFL all the way, to me, any other league is just BS

Is Ken Dorsey going to be wearing the number 36 in an actual UFL game?
It would be kind of neat to see quarterbacks wearing numbers in the 30's. QB's in the NFL used to wear numbers in the 30's and 40's back in the 1930's and 1940's. If Dorsey and other UFL QB's wear numbers in the 30's and 40's, it will help give the UFL a kind of a throwback feeling.
I hope the United Football League succeeds. Internet sites like you tube should help the UFL's chances of making it because it will be so much easier to gain access to UFL highlights and information.
Some UFL games should be played on Tuesday and Wednesday nights and televised by ESPN or FOX Sports Net. Then there would be no direct competition with NFL games.
UFL has too few teams.

this is how not to make a football league successful.
1- have little to no advertising campaign
2- refuse to go after big name free agents
3-average less then 10,000 fans per game
4- have your flagship team in new york finish 0-6
this league is an abject failure from the word go. it will be dead by next year.

Slightly different rules. No tuck rule, no intential grounding. It is meant to be like the baseball minors. You can`t compete against the NFL.
