  • fact is, we have taken hundreds of milions of years of prehistoric energy production and burnt it in four hundred yrs. good luck with that world citizens

  • I'm from New England......no ecological systems have been, or are being wiped out. liars

  • @ericcman22302 You are the Liar.

  • @ToddBoyle LMAO, ok, I'm a liar. I guess I'll just live in a city apartment and go gather all my info from celebrities on T.V. Ads

  • @ToddBoyle grow up!!!

  • @ericcman22302 I'm so glad New England is doing well. The species going extinct seems to be reported by many universities' and other peer-reviewed studies.

When I walk around the beautiful pacific NW rain forest I also feel good just like you.

  • @ericcman22302 so you would like it 20% of passers by slapped your mama in the face?

  • Dear thebestssomeva: Your theory that the economy "will not grow as a result of green energy sources", is incorrect. First of all, the economy measured in utility, rather than the incomplete and misleading framework of money and GAAP, will greatly increase if the very large costs of global warming are reduced. That's what this is all about. Secondly, the dollar economy will continue, although with a different mixture of products and services.

  • @ToddBoyle

I'm just going to start off with this. So far, we have not needed to spend a single dime because of global warming. All we've spent, which is in the billions, is because of people like you telling us we need to spend money. It's like telling me I have kangaroos in my yard while I live in Canada, I buy kangaroo repellent, and you say the cost of living in Canada is going up to a kangaroo infestation.

  • Please at least admit the economy will not grow as a result of green energy sources. If it was economic to produce electricity with wind or solar we'd already be doing it. The only case for regulation is if global warming is actually happening and man made. I have a problem believing CO2 is causing global warming considering everything on earth either produces it or absorbs it. Not to mention H2O is a far better greenhouse gas and theres way way more H2O than CO2 in the air.

  • In just FIVE YEARS between 2004-2009 thick perennial arctic sea ice DROPPED 42%. This was discovered by NASA satellite measurements. Reported 7/7/09

Global Warming is changing our world NOW. CO2 is 35% above levels for 650,000 years. In just 30 years CO2 will be over 450ppm, enough to acidify oceans to the point of stopping the growth of many planktons and corals. They are at the base of the oceans' food chain.

  • If the polar ice caps melt, the water level will not rise. The ice displaces the water level. Put an ice cube in a glass of water and the water level rises. When the ice cube melts the water level is the same. Historically and scientifically, CO2 levels follow the Earth's temperatures. Anthropological global warming was initiated by Margaret Thatcher who wanted to push Europe towards nuclear power in the 1970's due to her distrust of OPEC and the coal mining industry.

  • It doesn't matter if you believe or don't believe in global warming. We, as people who inhabit the earth need to take care of the planet we live on. It's almost like a responisibility, like the reason we clean our houses or even take out the trash. We live in our house, we live on earth. The earth is bigger. That's the difference.

  • i could have been one of those babies! xD

now it's my time to do something for the enviroment for the next generation...

  • besides where do you think all the melted watr is going to go???...in the water, you moron...which is going to raise the sae level by some 20 feet, This would be a disaster for many coastal cities (NYC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Calcutta, Singapore, and Beijing to name a few). - a catastrophe non-stoping movement by mother nature that would create serious problems on a global scale of international proportions- it would cost HUNDREDS OF TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS in lost money/assets,

  • ALL the polar ice caps have melted and will be completly gone in a couple of decades?.......if its not a WARMING, then waht is it...your a moron ICE-CAPS reflect the sun off the earth you moron...the 700 billion tons of carbon dioxide traped under the earth's ozone (caused by fosal fuels) is preventing the rays of the sun to bounce back into space.. thus making this planet hotter, thank you

  • ok, global warming is unavoidable, the earth has been heating up for thousands of years at a steady rate and it has nothing to do with people. We are just coming out of an ice age. there is also proof, that for billions (4.6) approx, of years that the earth goes through cycles of ice ages and heat spells, we are just in one of the time where the earth is heating up! nothing we can do about it, its just nature.

But some of you refuse to believe the truth

  • and 16 years later most of global warming ads are haunting and fear inducing.

  • well i think in the future, global warming will be stopped, technology must something to do about this, like the new modern environment friendly car...and the government will stop the publick smokes pollution.....well i am moving now, i am currently saving water, turning off appliances lights when not in use and set my air conditioner into a timer...that's so easy isnt it? sooo we have to change!!

  • Below the global warming deniers have found another brilliant insight, disproving global warming--- Since Tom Cruise believes it's a problem, therefore, it is not a problem. To observe their minds in operation is to understand their dismissal of hard science as well: There is no logic or rationality: they already know what they want, and simply disagree and resist and obstruct ANY words or communication, or person.

  • haha. poor tom cruise, he's a scientologist AND preaches "global warming. llamahamfat, do the research. global warming is a farce.

  • 3:20

I thought that was Billy Crystal.

Whydid he call himself Dennis Weaver??

  • That is Billy Crystal, this movie is so gay and and what a hoax.

  • 2:01 that guy has a uni brow

  • Chris-- Then-- our disagreement is about facts. Right? Since neither of us has measured temperatures anywhere for the last week, let alone 100s of years, let alone globally-- we are both relying on somebody we trust, for the data, and the interpretation and conclusions. One of us is being lied to, bigtime.

  • ok global warming is not man made or animal made also the earth has been cooling for almost 10 years and there is not enough pollution to cause global warming

  • before you make a ignorant comment why dont you research the topic and understand the facts. humans are causing climate change you naive idiot

  • first of all its not man made florida shouldnt get frost or any ice down here if global warming exist the earth wouldnt have these climet change the earth should not be like one place use to be hot then its cold now no thats not global warming it would get hotter and hotter and the whole world would of get hotter not parts of the earth on gets colder and one side gets hot nooo thats not how it is

  • You need to make a better argument man. Look at facts, not speculations. Global warming is a farce. humans emit 3.31% of all total co2 emissions as of 2007. If we put more restrictions on our buisnesses we will just hurt production, and thus hurt income which results in an overall worse economy, (its already so screwed over). But hey, id love to have what Al Gore's smoking. that would blow my mind

  • so ur saying that we should kill everything that puts out pollution? also al gore if he wants to go green then lets see him drive those little hybrid cars witch i dont really care much about the enviorment but global warming dosent exist its just a scame to ruin america economy stealing people money and spending it on bigger government when we need less government interference

  • HA HA FUCK! Tom Cruise. Now I can't take it seriously. xD

  • 18 years later...we're still worrying about this.

  • and you should be

  • And so should you

  • wat r u talking about

  • yea and i will be

  • TOM CRUISE!!

  • My goodness. We've been visited by one of the last remaining global warming skeptics. I wonder which species it is---The ones who think it's not happening, or those who think it doesn't matter.

  • ...and the scare tactics continue...hmmm, the world is pretty similar to what it was in the 80s according to my memory: winter, summer, spring, fall. Still there. blue skies: check. where is this crisis happening again?

  • Help! Our world is in deep crisis now! Please solve 80% of global warming by going Veg!

  • Nobody's payin any fuckin attention 2008, any more than 1990 or EarthDay 70. You have to cross the street and confront the polluters. Stop trying to educate the masses. Dumb fucks won't listen, they are duhhhh dumfucks.

  • Nice to know about an ad, so old.......they didn't have many examples to list yet, now we have. I'm happy to say, that I am doing my part.
