According to IRB world rankings, there are 95 teams who play international rugby union, and hence are ll eligible to qualify for the world cup (i assume). But to be honest, only 8 teams out of the 95 are any good.
204 teams entered to qualify for the fifa world cup. Perhaps if only 8 sides were any good then nz would stand better in the rankings.

thats a tired old soccer argument. since the first soccer world cup in 1930 there has been only 7 different winners, since the first rugby world cup in only 1987 there has been 4. really there is also only about 7 teams in soccer who can win it (England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Brazil and Argentina) while rugby has about 5 (New Zealand, Sth Africa, Australia, England and France) The number of teams in soccer doesnt make it strong, a lot of them are average to shit, just like rugby.

Well it's certainly not the All Blacks. When was the last time we won the world cup? How many times have we won it? When was the last time we even proved ourselves to be standouts? Italy just made us look like chumps yesterday and demonstrated how sloppy we are.

NZ are celebrating their achievement of qualifying for the world cup. This IS an achievement for them, despite it being a mere formality for your Brazil. NO ONE is claiming they have done enough, least of all the all white players themselves. Do not deny NZ their moment in the sun to savour this achievement that they have EARNT.
I'm sure NZ would pay Brazil the same respect (that you refuse to show them) if they qualified for the rugby world cup.
