That entrance from the mutant is just creepy! Very cool little bit here, thanks for posting--I remember this movie from years and years ago as well, myself!
This could work today but they've got to improve the acting and use top notch talent in the special effects. I really think this can work in today's time. Japanese cast but do away with the corniness.
man i remember this from the late 60's as a kid watching it on science fiction theater in Houston Texas,This was one of my favorites thanks for posting
This movie was a compilation of 3 shorts from '57 Japanese series . I saw this at my school theater shortly after the '62 Cuban crisis after we had school exercises to hide under our desk during the many alerts that were run throughout the US& Canada. For an 8 yo child, this movie was "impressive" & at par with US productions of the era. Remember, this was 1957 & this movie reflects a completely different culture & state of mind (Japanese) post massive WWII bombings (death from space)!
I finally faced my fear..lol.. as a child that mutant creature used to scare the hell out of me. Even up until recently and maybe still, if i would see women with certain hairstyles that reminded me of the mutant creature i would feel uneasy.lol Remember Starman's bow? He would bow to change from street close to superhero uniform... cool. ok doc i'm cured now.. i found out wut dat deep rooted traumatic experience embedded deep in my subconsious is and kicked it in the ding ding..Trojan Man!!!
"One slash from the mutant's solid cobalt nails could destroy him!" My brother and I were 10 & 7 and laughed so hard at how bad these Starman movies were. The dubbing the acting the special effects. Thanks for posting it.
