  • The best way to keep a slave is to pay him before he finishes his work!

  • I actually just watched this DVD from my local library. It is very sad.

We as a country are in decline.

GET OUT OF DEBT. I did and so can you. I used to have $15,000 in c/c debt and live paycheck to paycheck. Let me tell you (but I bet you know) IT SUCKS!! Today I have over $40,000 in cash and silver. I started by paying down debt and saving $30/wk even though I hardly could do it. I did that for 3 years and now save $400-$600/wk!

  • Just watched this documentary and it confirms to me that America is dead. Corporations have killed America and have enslaved Americans, with some credit due to the Bush administration for helping pass a bill whereby Americans wouldn't be able to wipe clean the debt they incurred from these deceiving and predatory credit card companies. Many Americans will be working (literally, not figuratively) until they die of old age, to keep up with the minimum amount of interest, nevermind the principal.

  • I borrowed 200K from Credit Card and went back too China,,ha,ha

  • I hope one day there is going to be a human zoo with americans working in sweat shops somewhere in china so all the third country ppl could go to for holidays.

  • This film should be mandatory viewing. If people actually understood what was being done to them, we could actually do something about it.

  • bob - i don't have money to buy that,but i want it. what should i do?

    kenny -don't buy it

    bob - kenny i'm broke

kenny - why! i said don't buy it cause you don't actually have the money to buy it at first

    moral of the story

p.s thats your conscious or common sense.

  • I have borrowed 150k from my credit card and went back to the philippines HAHAHA SUCKERS!!!

  • @CORRUPTION1NC i love you

  • I love this movie

  • I am 31 now and I have NEVER had a credit card in my life. This movie is a perfect example of why I always refused to have one. I am just glad that I had the foresight at the age of 18 to realize what a bad idea it would be to have one.

  • injoy life he says in the end....at what expesice?

  • Now the real story, two things, your signature (pin number) and authorization code on the credit card makes this a promisory note legal tender so the credit company pays the debt. So when you purchs you have paid, the credit company wants you then to pay again plus fees and interest. They have alrighty use the orginal promisory note to gain interest from the government, like a cheaque. This is called embezelment.

  • I'll take a $30,000 credit limit card right now. I'm f'n broke!

  • This is great. I just go online and apply at a comparison site like ProCreditCenter

  • You don't have to get credit card offers in the mail anymore. You can just go online to apply for a credit card on a comparison site like ProCreditCenter

  • We watched this in my Economics class. this is was RIDICULOUS

  • I have never been given a credit card offer before, ever. Maybe I am one of a lucky few.

  • We could afford to pay our employees before the minimum wage went up not once but twice. I soon will be running this company all by myself again just like I started. I always pay my credit card every month. I only had to miss one payment to put me in debt for what they show can easily be paid off in 30 years.

  • cool, it's free at 999 Full Movies . com

  • After watching this movie, I wanted to break Chris and Bob's knees.

  • please explain further.

  • Take a whiff.

  • smells funky!

  • If a majority of Americans REFUSED to pay their credit card bills They could soon bring Wall St and the US Govt to their knees and make them do as that majority wants, from stopping international wars to lowering credit card interest rates to the interest banks pay on savings accounts i.e 1 to 2 percent !!!

  • Yes, the credit card companies are crooked, but personal responsibility needs to be addressed. People go out and buy new cars rather than used ones and use plastic to pay for everything from gas to groceries. That's the type of behavior that causes problems. During the film, Bush said that people had been abusing the bankruptcy provision. That's absolutely true. If you borrow money, you should pay it back. Period. The debt collector boys who used sports and pirate analogies were total d-bags.

  • I'd say screw em all !!! do to them as they do unto you !! they wanna stress the consumer , the consumer needs to stress the banks... Max out your cards and get all you can !!! But when you get the money, spend it responsibly !!

  • Im glad I ran up my cards for my cool computer that I bought from Walmart and never paid the credit people for... Now I use the free computer to get free Software, music, games, OS, applications, audio books, comic books, and more all for FREE!!! Who needs Walmart I dont... Not for that stuff.

  • money is created from debt

    no debt no money

banks are printing money from thin air

gold do not back up the money any more.

if nobody get in debt ,money would not exist.

  • Yes it sucks but you agree to the terms of the contract. I am debt free myself. If you cant handle the basic reponsibility of credit then you are a fool and deserve what you get. It amazes me how many american's blame someone else for their own mistakes.

  • Mastinox, credit companies routinely change the terms of the debt long after the original borrowing was done. I have a 785 credit score and perfect payment history for the last 5 years. B of A (who I've had an acct with for only the last 2 years) jacked my interest rate from 9.9 to 14.9 with no reason other than "market conditions". They are theiving, usurious MFs who are bleeding working people dry.

You are either clueless about the reality of the situation or a paid shill.

  • It is a free market. They can charge 100% if they want. If you dont like it then dont use their line of credit. You rate got jacked up? Then cancel and open with another that will offer a more suitable rate. If still no luck then maybe try the option of not buying shit you cannot afford.

  • What part of "THEY CHANGED THE TERMS OF THE CONTRACT" do you not understand? You're ignoring the fact that the contract I originally entered into was not honored. In any other industry they would be sued for breach of contract. It's usury, it's loansharking, it's bad business, it's bad for everyone and I don't give a shit about your "free market" blatherings, we all know the game is rigged, but you keep defending the robber barons.

I have closed my acct with B of A and I will never go back.

  • what if one of your relatives die and the funeral costs are $15.000 and you don't have the money, why the banks don't lent you the money with a fix rate with avery low interes 5% to pay for the funeral. but instead they give you a revolving credit card with 29% interest that you are going to pay for the rest of your life.

    what are your options?

  • @kko75 Fifteen dollars for a funeral? Are you kidding?

  • @kko75 dont spend 15k your relitive dont want you in dept

  • @kko75 you go back in time and tell your dam relatives to get insurance ..lawl

  • essential viewing for anyone who takes on a credit card.

  • Watch out for marriage fraud!

-Be careful when marrying someone that is an illegal immigrant. It can be difficult to know if they are marrying for a love or a green card.

-Never co-sign a credit card/car with a lover or spouse.

-Avoid mixing any fiances or legal issues together.

    Consider yourself warned!

  • My mother language is not English, does the term "maxed out" have a special meaning? What does maxed out mean?

  • It comes from the word maximum. It means that one has spent the maximum amount of credit given by a bank or credit card company, usually beyond their means to pay back.

  • Thx. It sounds really bad.

Espacially the part "usually beyond their means to pay back" is

  • hey dont make conspiracy theorists look rude or crazy etc next time try to respond the video and sneak in your plugs for these potentially relevant films

  • To Chris & Bob, the featured debt collectors- you are worthless pond scum!

To attempt to collect on verified debt is the law.

To screw with people is CRIMINAL with punishment befitting your arrogance!

  • i think if everybody in america would stop paying for the credit cards at the same time ,things would change for the better. hey when all the jobs are gone no one will be working anyway to pay all the bills,so what if you get takin to court. im telling you people you have not even begun to see the worst of it.

  • i just finished seeing it because someone recommended it. I thought it was just bias propaganda. I do not like how harsh some C.C companies can become but, no one is forced into that situation. When you get a credit card you need to pay back. Simple concept ha? Well some people think the government should make sure they are responsible and they should not carry the burden of their mistakes. Why I ask? I still don't get it.

  • watch modern money mechanics , money as debts, money masters and iraq for sale

  • if u default or unable to pay your card off..u don't have to. credit card company or the banksters will zero ur debt and by law they will write your debt out ...the banks loss is covered by insurance and they get tax credit. then they sell ur rights to collection agencies or debt collectors for every 10 cents on a$.u got 2 know the statute of limitation some states varies from 3to6yrs.if they threatened u 2 pay within that time frame than u lost ur stat of limitation and these maggot got u

  • Ha ha ha ha ha!!!

Americans don't have to use these credit cards you know. If you get one in the post, your not forced to use it!!! Grow up and take some responsibility.

  • i saw your film today; really good! this is in my top 5 favorite documentaries of ALL time

  • I loved your video. I came across a site that will help your channel/video become more popular. It has really helped me out a great deal. The name is Thetubeviews . Net

    John Kilroy

  • Together we can make a difference, the sole of a society is the education of the people.

  • who is the comedian in the video

  • CK Louis

  • who is the comedian in the video

  • Why can't i live without a CC.Whats wrong in that. oh!!! i know...

All lending decisions are made made by credit scores alone. They don't care how much money you make or job security.Thats why we have so many bad loans. if we just go by a number and not look at amount of money he makes or the assets he may have or job security anyone with 700credit score can get a loan for 800,000$ even thou he makes only 3000$ a month.

  • I have this film. It's fantastic. I never realized what kind of low-life, bottom-feeding maggot scum comprise the credit card industry. Sure there are decent cards, but that's about 1% of the total. Want to know why the economy is tanked? See this film! This country is overrun with money-grubbing parasites that will do anything to put anyone into debt. Anyone!

The best favor you can do is pay off your cards and cancel them. Use your debit card. Do anything but carry revolving debt. It's a SCAM!

  • See this film. Great work.

  • if your reading this and in trouble , don't worry about it , check out my video called "default on your credit cards" it will give you REAL help .

  • best credit card video

    watch?v=EheWeL5WjTY

  • I know how it feels. I'm 23 with over $60,000 of debt..Med bills, credit cards, personal loans, car payments.. I was able to pay it all until I lost my job

  • God Bless the USA

  • Nice vid. Thanks for sharing.

  • im 16 and when i cashier i see every moron having like 16 credit cards.....credit=modern slavery , no one wants your paper (money) we just want you to work

  • We are at the non-sustainability point of Democracy!

Now NORTHCOMs homeland defense force trains on US soil to combat civil unrest in the States

    America is entirely bankrupt!

Help yourself - Get another citizenship & move your currency out of the US dollar!

  • man this country is f---- up well real change wont come until our goverment has stole and wasted all we have and no one has a job & we cant eat then real change will come........

  • Gimme a break!

The USA is bankrupt & Oct 1st US Military troops are training to fight American citizens

US owes 96 trillion it has plundered & pledged to SS & Medicare

US plundered another 53 trillion from other trusts

US owes 10 trillion interest to a bunch of private bankers it allows to print money out of thin air

US owes on 12 trillion Freddie & Fannie; US owes untold to Bernanke's buddies on Wall Street

US is over and done with!

Thank god for my second citizenship!

  • I agree with you in one respect, Bush made it legal for military to help in police matters, obviously planning for the day when a few wealthy people have all the money and need protection from the starving masses.

  • So sad but true, even sadder is the fact that the majority of those police and military personnel, if even realizing how wrong it is to side with the greed mongers, will be good, loyal little puppy dogs to them, defending their every whim. The only thing that is going to change our country is a civil uprising, the government is so stacked against the everyday person it isn't funny.

  • You're lucky as hell if you have a second citizenship. The greedy bastards, and that's being polite, have destroyed this country. Ten percent of the population holding a vast majority of the wealth is not a good thing yet there are so many everyday pin heads that think those people are winners and want to be just like them not realizing that they're being screwed just like everyone else.

  • brain

    NO luck at all!

GREAT NEWS: This is the greatest time to live

You can obtain a second citizenship economically; and live a sovereign life like International Corporations!

There are many journals out there to help you pick the country of your choice; & it doesn't mean you have to leave America!

  • The latest bailout package comes to $2.25 trillion, triple the size of the original $700 billion Amazingly the FED has been paying these bankers 188 billion a day all along

Altogether, the worlds markets over the past four weeks saw $11 trillion worth of assets wiped out. This sum corresponds to virtually the entire annual gross national product of the US, or the European Union.

  • Good movie, I rented this over the weekend, while it is one sided, it does expose the gross abuse of the Credit Card companies.

Of course the consumer shares the blame, but that can easily be another documentary.

  • It amazes me how people still casually overlook the true cause of all of this. Their own greed and wanting "stuff" to bolster their identity (The word identity originates from the word Edem, which means "To make same"). We learn that we need things to make ourselves happy, this cannot be done outside of ourselves.

So, the CC companies may be there, but to call them preditory to me is a stretch. A preditor cannot be a preditor without a prey...who in this case, is NOT an innocent victim.

  • I agree with you that these people are partly to blame.

But CC companies are definitely predators because of the tactics they use.

People want to better their lives, they are convinced to be consumers by decades of repub messages. You heard bush, your doing your part for america, and that sadly has been a driving force for decades.

You get these companies using tactics that are known to influence people, and they want people in debt, because thats where they make their money.

  • I definitely feel no sympathy for peopel that put themselves in CC debt. But it doesnt mean I will ignore that the CC companies business is to put people in debt to take the most money from people.

A business like that cannot be forgiven.

  • REVOLUTION TODAY! Lets get organized, save people like us, kill who gets in our way, prosecute the others, and make this a better country and world. It just takes us, lets get on it!!!

  • This movie actually made me cry today. It angers me as a consumer but it also inspires me to go into credit/loan situations defensively. It's sickening how debt can be capitalized on...arming yourself with knowledge is the first step to avoiding becoming a victim.

  • 'W' promised tax cuts. He kept his promise and arranged tax cuts almost 2x 700 billion dollars. Now he bags to give it back to 'save the nation'.

'W' also made a law that allowed mortgages taken by people who could not afford them.

Then he urged the people to spend money, so the economy looked better than it was.

Then Alan Greenspan (FED) said there was NO housing bubble and not to worry.

This was known for years. But US media are controlled by crooks.

There's more involved than preditor loans.

  • You guys need to check out Dave Ramsey! He is awesome!

  • I have $960000 in credit card debt and I only make 9.00/hr. Any ideas?

  • Get the education you need to make a higher wage. And declare bankruptcy- it's probably your only way out at this point. Unless you expect a major money gift to come your way soon. just my opinion...

  • First of all how in the world did you get $960,000 in credit card debt? Second of all, you need to cut up all of your credit cards, file for bankruptcy and get a second or third job.

  • he probably meant 96,000 and his inability to distinguish 96,000 from 960,000 didn't help his judgment when using these credit cards did it?

  • I checked out a lot of credit card sites and found great deals on VISAcard,ca

  • not all collectors are like this. i myself am a collector for a big comapany most of you know as GE. although i only collect the early stage, we treat our customers with total respect and we try to work something out without harassment.

  • for a great credit card deal, check out VISAcard,ca

  • When is it coming out?

  • How many more horror stories are really out there I wonder?

  • Ha ha... Elliot Spitzer put'n down credit cards! We know why now! This movie is Ironic in that the company who distributes this movie is owned by mega rich sports czar Mark Cuban, a man who has huge investments in credit card companies! It just never ends people. Give up.

  • i don't think anyone in the working middle class could afford to distribute the film, didn't you watch it?

  • Unreal they would give a mentaly reatarded person 30,000 dollars in credit. Welcome to the USA the most money loving country on the face of the earth

  • @PGMEagle Makes you question who's really retarded when even that person knew it was crazy.

  • Dont you just hate those collectors? I bet they have caused many people to kill themselves. I have only one credit car. and own less than 500. Pay the minimum until I get a good job and pay it off. I feel debt free when compared to the American who own an average of 8 CREDIT CARDS. They ride the bog cars have the big houses but they OWN NOTHING. It all belongs to the CREDIT CARD COMPANIES

  • Amen sister.

  • Brother, no sister.

  • Ooops. Sorry.

  • Don't you realise that "paying the minimum until I get a good job" is exactly how most people start the downward spiral into debt?

  • Bottom line is it's largely our own damn faults. We have become a society of spoiled, little brats. Dave Ramsey's slogan "Act Your Wage" is so true. I truly do feel bad for the working folks (like myself) that bust their asses and can't get ahead but at the same time isn't going out and maxing out their credit on shit they don't need. I have zero sympathy for the people who max the credit out on big cars, houses, TVs, and other crap for what? To impress people who don't give a damn.

  • When I see someone driving around in a big-ass SUV I laugh for two reasons. What these a lot of these dumb-asses pay to fill their gas tanks and the fact that their whole life is leveraged. When they lose their homes and everything else when it all comes crashing down they got what was coming to them. But hey, It credit is the American dream. Government and politicians at all levels are failing the people like never before but blaming them for your credit woes is a cope out.

  • The thing is that people say "it is safer to have a big SUV" but it really is not. If we all had small cars, they would not be unsafe. But when you have a small car and everyone has a big one, you feel unsafe. Japanese have car that give you 45 miles per gallon. Europe about the same. But here people say "I dont gonna let anyone change my life style."

I always say to my wife, even if I am rich I gonna have an Honda. Because I dont want to spend my fortune on gas.

  • this country is going down the shitter... how is this legal?? why arent there restrictions>?

the answer is simple, the country is ruled by these companies...

Im sick of this shit and Bush.

Im moving to canada, ill come back when Ron Paul is President....

  • Many folks are MAXED OUT. LOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • I think everyone should tear up their credit cards. Rip them up pay them off and never use them for anything. I haven't had a credit card since 2000. It's very liberating. I got them when I was in school because I was young and stupid. It was a way to buy my books and other things I needed for class. Just say no to credit.

  • Lamia7609 - You're the best! Keep up the fight, and enjoy debt-free living!! :)

  • Thanks! I wouldn't say I am living debt free, but I am credit card free which is quite liberating.

  • Credit free is good enough!

  • Just a question; why do you disrespect yourself with that name?

  • Because I live in the United States of America. I can say/write almost anything I want. Nigger. Spic. Chink. Porch Monkey. Beaner. Gook. You get the idea...

  • and only on the internet are you immune from getting your ass kicked by any of the above, right?

  • Agreed. I'm joining you after I pay off all my dumbass credit cards. I've had my fun, now I'm gonna pay for it

  • I just watched this DVD and I do not feel bad at all for the people or as they try to portray themselves, 'victims' in tis documentary. The only story which I felt the person had been wronged was the story of the United States soldier who was injured and the government would not help him or his family financially. Everyone else in this video who is living in poverty or who killed themselves over credit cards brought the hardship onto themselves. PAY YOUR BILLS, CHARGE ONLY WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD!!

  • dude it is not that simple. I need to take two summer courses, and the only way I can afford them is to charge them on my credit card because loan rates are too high and financial aid only supports 6 credits for summer courses. You mean to tell me I should stay in school for another year to a year and a half just because I cannot afford these classes now? College is one of the main reasons why people are in debt. Paying regular bills and college bills is tough while you have 3 kids in college.

  • Hell I guess I will pack up and leave tonight for Disnery World Florida.

  • Another hit piece on Republicans. A movie about people that want things and don't want to pay for them. Don't buy things on credit if you can't pay for it.

  • DonnyDarkoo - Dave Ramsey [daveramsey [dot] com and a tv show on FOXBUSINESS] is a HUGE Republican, and he HATES CREDIT CARD COMPANIES. What do you have to say about that??

I'm also a HUGE democrat and Dave Ramsey is definitely one of the greatest people in our country. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about his ministry. I like it when we (Repubs and Dems) get together to fight the good fight together.

  • interesting stuff, disgusting credit companies

  • why is it that its always the credit card companys fault that your in debt. i am not saying that these companys are not crooked but they did not twist your arm to have you abuse the cards on things you dont have money to pay for. When people buy pizza with credit cards...THATS STUPID!!!!DONT OWN ANY CREDIT CARDS AND ALWAYS PAY CASH.

  • In NO other country do you get 2-5 credit card offers in the mail per week, can you get a credit card even you don't have a job, do the credit card companies bribe colleges to access campuses to give away credit card with incentives to young people to get them hooked early. It is a predatory and calculated system, that's what this movie is about...

  • what's really bad is that we all have a credit score too which of course determines the type of financing we can get. if we don't have any credit cards, that 55-205 points that deals particularly WITH your credit cards is deducted from your credit scores. SO, you must have credit cards (in good standing with low balances) if you want a good credit score. We are all trapped in the system of credit!!!!

  • I assume the "financing" you want is for a mortgage or something? Well, even today, there exists 1920's style MANUAL UNDERWRITING who look at your REAL SPECIFICS and can often give you the SAME rate you would get using FICO! You can even rent an apartment with 0 FICO, just find one that doesn't use that stupid program. Question-What do banks tell a customer that wants a $250k loan but has $200k in cash and a Mil in a 403b? Try Churchill mortgage. You don't have to be trapped, save and pay cash!

  • SO TRUE. Paying cash always gives you the favor!

  • We have listened, watched programs, read books, etc. on various financial advisers/counselors. Most would agree that credit card (unsecured) debt is bad. One financial adviser we recently followed, Dave Ramsey, is advocating and (seriously) promoting a debt-free/mortgage-free lifestyle and life. It is critical to get out of debt. Our cars, our food, etc. drives, feels and taste better when it was purchased with cash. Plus, there is no lingering after taste or after shock.

  • I watched this movie in my business tech class it's pretty messed up man

  • This is the only way to learn how Corporations behave in the U.S. Why cant u do the same?. If ur investment is FOreclosed and its already reported in ur credit report. ANd still own lots of credit cards(by now ur credit limit has diminished)unable to make transfers to lower credit cards...do a "fresh start". U still can buy a house in 2yrs after foreclosure in the same State. If u move to another State even better, they give u the loan sooner than 2yrs.

  • This looks like the predicted collapse of the US economy in many of those apocalyptic novels. Mainly nostradamus. Right before world war III.

  • This is a great movie. Credit card companies and banks are definitely keeping lots of secrets from us. This video tells about more of there dirty secrets: /watch?v=0bGjYAL2Jds

  • i saw it, loved it, and watch monthly just to get a good laugh as i watch our current economic problems unfold

  • Sounds like more people need to figure out who Dave Ramsey is.

  • this movie is heartbreaking! thank God i never fell into the credit card trap(aside from the fact that interest and usury is absolutely forbidden in my religion)... i still feel very bad for the countless individuals drowning in credit card debt... those debt collectors are insanely evil and heartless!

  • ive just started reading the book, i used to be in debt but i worked really hard for 18 months to clear the credit cards it was hard work though all i could spend money on was food and running my car apart from that every penny went on paying credit cards, never again.

  • and Ron Paul has been warning about this for 30 years and people call him a "kook" When will the sheeple ever listen!

  • To those preaching about "never a borrower be". You are right but its not that simplistic is it? People without the spare income are being targeted by these scumbag companies and given ever increasing limits with no questions asked. The Marketing is all have it now and look at the smile on your childs face! Dont worry you can pay the minimum!Credit card companies also have responsibility not to offer this type of exorbitant compound interest credit!

  • So this means that you are weak and even know you know the end result you still do it and then blame the company. I wish I could use that with my girlfriend. "hun, I know I should of just said no to the hooker but she was so good looking and she really wanted me, if you could of saw the look on her face, it just is not that easy, please forgive me, its the hooker's fault not mine...and of course George Bush...always his fault...no matter what I do the fault is his" Get a life!

  • No you shallow fool. Im saying that I take full responsibility BUT the credit card companies know exactly what they are doing and are over lending without asking any questions. They market themselves as peoples friends knowing full well that they need over borrowing so theycan charge high interest rates.THEY DONT WANT GOOD CUSTOMERS YOU SHALLOW IDIOT BECAUSE THEY DONT MAKE ANY PROFIT.for once in your life think about it and dont put words in my mouth about blaming people You prick

  • Your exact quote is people without spare income are being targeted by these scum bag companies...so in a sense its not these people's fault...ummm yes it is. Bottom line! No if's and's or but's. No spare income? Don't get a credit card. If you fall for people targeting you then you are a weak person and it falls under Social Darwinism, the people with better judgement and brains survive. Now send me some more insults and make it more personal because you like to blame others 4 problems you create

  • Right so lets go down your strict route of dont borrow what you cant afford. Yeah thats the rule but you entirely miss the point that the Card companies know this as well. SO ITS NEVER THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES FAULT LENDING SAY FOR EXAMPLE $10000 TO SOMEONE WITH NO STEADY INCOME. You know how hard it can be to earn that money so why would a company lend it to a stranger WITH HARDLY ANY QUESTIONS ASKED? would you lend that money without collateral.People are human with weaknesses not robots!

  • ok then...then we need to make alcohol illegal, cars illegal, all medications illegal...I mean because there are humans out there with weaknesses and they can abuse these things. So let's get rid of them so it won't happen. Granted, people who can use these things responsibly get screwed but who cares. We must make rules that protect the people who are too stupid to protect themselves. I love it! Love your logic. Make mistakes and then blame someone else...change you can believe in

  • If you read my initial comment you will see that I am not attacking the "never a borrower be" philosophy.

I think you must work for one of these companies as who else could defend the greedy money creation from misery process.

  • No. I am a teacher with very limited spare income but I save for things I want and save for emergencies and it irritates me when others make bad judgements about how they spend their money and then want to blame credit card companies, the government etc etc. That is the real issue with our country, nobody ever takes responsibility for the mistakes they make.Own up to mistakes you make and fix it and become better. If you want to get mad at someonelook in the mirror and scream!

  • Fair enough but as I said..Im not stating that people should borrow but on all these sites people like you come on with a holier than thou attitude telling people basics that they already really know.

So the credit card companies are fine upstanding citizens without an ounce of greed are they? The Government is wonderful is it?

So its all the fault of people that borrow too much is it???? Who are you going to pick on next to bully with your righteous attitude.

  • You sound like the meth addict who tries it and then cries about how addictive it is and how they have a disease and it is not their fault and the government should pay for them to get help now...umm why try it? Yes it is addictive..stay away...you have no job and credit card company gives you a card with $10,000 limit then you are a moron for going on a shopping spree. It's called life..there are consequences to your actions. Blame yourself...not someone else.

  • IF you know you cant afford the things you are buying on credit, why are you buying them? how is the consumer the victim? That is like a drug dealer coming to you and saying take this it will make you feel good...it is up to the consumer to consummate that relationship so to speak. and it is up to the consumer to continue spending KNOWING they cannot repay...and people blame the company. i think it is fairly crazy to put so much blame on the credit card companies.

  • Nevermind the fact that credit card companies target those who are the least educated and least able to make the payments. If that's not evil, I don't know what is.

  • theres a special ring in hell for those people.

  • Credit card for all! I will help you to apply for a credit card online, you can chose the best ones.

  • I've got a better idea... go set your head on fire.

  • Biggest thing missing from this dialog. How to profit from credit cards.

    1) Apply for Discover's 5% Cash back on Gas, Orchard Visa's 2% on everything, and Chase 3% Business Dining Mastercard:

    2) Plan some trips, eat out with friends and family a few times per month, spend 90% of what you make, & live it up

    3) Pay your bill, get your rebates exploiting these companies for some change back!

    4) Use the rebates to buy stock in these banks so that YOU are lending these tards $ at 21% or more.

  • Got debts? You deserve it! Don't use credit cards and only buy what you can afford. Simple as that. But no, you must have everything righ now right? Than you deserve what you get from you credit card company and I keep laughing at you all day long because you are dumb.

  • The USA is in serious Financial trouble. Debt at the level of the federal government to the Federal reserver bank (trillions with interest). Consumer Debt to the Banks. War on terrorism costing billions. Credit crunch. This all means one thing. The eventual collapse of the USA economy.

  • Credit Cards are Evil! :)

  • it is kind of late for this message, isn't it?

    LOL

  • Try a company called credit card zappers. They took off my interest charges and late fees.

  • This movie is an excellent look at consumer debt and how these companies are taking advantage of people. I will NEVER use credit cards again.

  • This is an amazing movie and a must-see even for people who've not fallen into the credit trap. Those who've gotten in over their heads, and not always due to their fault, are in nearly as hopeless a situation as those in the debtors prisons of early 1800s England.

  • I'm 21 paying for my own school with the military, have 4 credit cards and a credit line of a combined $7,000 and have not once paid a membership fee, annual fee, or one penny of interest. I charge everything and pay it off monthly. In fact, with rewards, I have been PAID $100 in 1 year by my credit cards. People just need to be smart with their spending. Of course credit card companies want you to pay interest, thats how they make money!

  • Too bad America, and New Zealand for that matter doesn't have more people like you. Credit companies are insane, but ultimately if you sign the contract, don't come crying to consumer affairs when your bill comes in the mail.

  • I was like that too, paid everything like it was a check card. I'll take a wild guess and say you don't have a girlfriend. Thats what killed me. For too many people it's the factor of having that much possible cash available and the thought of "I'll pay it off over time". It's the fault of the credit card holder, but you have to ask why they are so lenient with their limits? Try asking them to lower your limit and they will hang up on you.

  • wasn't Louis Freeh an FBI director? now he has a sweet job at MBNA?
