I saw them play in my town not long before they broke up. Sadly, one of the things I remember most about the show is these idiots who stood near the front (it was very sparsely attended) and kept yelling: 'Jap, go home!' Um, not Japanese, and also not the point. I did get one of the guys in the band to sign my cassette, though, so that was nice. They were excellent.
I saw them at 86 Street Music Hall they were great was sad to see them go, met them all backstage and got their autographs and still have them and have a concert from CFMI a radio station in UBC used 3 tapes to get all that.
They were the Canadian version of The Sugarcubes from Iceland
@11382002thx Back in June-July 1989, I saw them play the old Paramount music hall in New Westminster (before it became a strip club).
I too agree that they were Canada's answer to The Sugarcubes - I was into The Sugercube back then and always thought the two bands were quite similar.
saw them in gas town somewhere in 86 I think expo was on what a great night, hey thanks for the memories fun
