This is an amazing eye-opening video! I have the utmost respect for all those around the world who have said "Here I am, Send me" and have been commissioned by God to "go." You're spreading the gospel, offering hope and saving thousands of people every day in the name of Jesus..

The depravity of man is the cause for all of the anguish in the world. We are incapable of saving the world that is why Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross. Our lives is not of this world but the world to come. I know that this is an unpopular opinion on this video but it is part of a liberal theology that stresses heaven here on earth. It teaches that those of us that are blessed are the oppressors and those that are poor and downtrodden are the oppressed and it is our job to right the wrong.

I come from a totally different generation/genre of music video, and I must say...I'm blown away!! this video is excellent!! We watched this at church tonight (Christian Assembly-Cali). The speaker introduced it with "It's 10 minutes and I know attention spans are getting smaller, but ask God to help you focus."

Lot of positive comment hardly any negative... The funny thing is that the supposed impetus for mission comes out of doubting God and His justice in a pained and enslaved world. The video is great on emotion but as a real insipriation of mission in Jesus name and with his love falls short, very short. Too much humanism, too much emphasis on "here am I". If the gal who features in the video had spent more time studying her Bible and praying a lot of the questions, would have been answered.

Jesus said "I send you out as sheep among wolves" and we may say "Because I was not cut off before the darkness, neither hath he covered the darkness from my face." Job 23:17 I'm not sure what your complaint is but God is sending us out into- making us aware of- the suffering and despair to bring life like he did. He expects us to say "here am I, send me" because we were made in the image of God who loves and cares and protects and helps

Nirvanist, Why did Jesus tell parables? Fictional stories that inspire and explain life to others. Why did the authors of scripture cry and ask God about pain and struggle and unknowns?
