  • Makes me feel like I'm flying in space with the Muppets.

  • ... and now... listen to bowie´s "low"

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • timeless

  • It sounds otherworldly...like something you would hear traveling through a blue night sky, seeing all the stars, planets, and suns...It's beautiful. And I thought Kraftwerk and Can were special. I need to start listening to more Neu! :D

  • everyone who loves this should listen to Sigur Ros` white album (). It picks just up where "75" ends. The only weird thing about is that the drums don't keep pushing forward like in this one but they try to slow it down as the high frequency-guitar lines want to break free. Neu! made the beginning but each year so much great music is reaching the surface. don't just end after finding one treasure ;)

  • Flea referenced this band when talking about "Animal Bar". It took me forever to figure out this band is spelled Neu!, not noi or noy. I did discover a good american band named Noi in the process haha But yea, Neu! rocks! Glad I've found them.

    RUNBHO

  • ...basic sound for all the romantic people, who don´t like mainstream...

  • isi means pour in malay :) -malaysian love Neu!-

  • 10 fucking morons dislike this.

  • @1Cweasel i like it! but the notion that anyone who doesn't like what you like is a fucking moron is still a fucking moronic one!

  • @reltonpelton

As a Neu! fan I would rather take the pointlessly defensive stance.

That aside I guess you are going for the everyone has a right to their opinion angle? Yes? Well here I am on the internet doing that. Still I am sure there are people you deem to be morons based on their actions or beliefs. Is that not the case?

  • first listen... AND IM IN LOVE!

  • I finally got smart and got this album on my Ipod...this and sealand are my fav riding tunes!

  • These guys stood out, didn't they? Today, they'd be lost in the net somewhere - sad how music has gotten so dumb lately! Motorik! is gut!

  • I'm Italian and i love Krautrock.

  • Timeless GE-NEU-US!

  • Ach du Lieber, mein lederhosen ist ein flammen.

  • 75 is my favourite album out of the first 3 . Timeless .

    The endless straight

  • MEN NO HORSES

  • Addictive music, I love Neu, they were innovative and influenced many later bands.

    R.I.P. Klaus.

  • This is where ALL music comes from.... Surreal.....

  • This is where ALL music comes from......Surreal....

  • I love listening to this whilst smoking a joint on a saturday morning, after having to put up with all the mon-fri work bullshit. Wonderful relaxing tune. Cheers.

  • @jochen538 Dude...I'm doing the same thing on a Tuesday morning...the joys of being a student!

  • Absolute perfection!

  • Can't stop playing this...

  • ... to continue, Neu! were there first, realising the potential of electronic instruments. They created a whole mood with Hallagallo & Negativland which PiL would develop for songs like Albatross but while everyone else caught up they had already moved on to adding in synthesizers and splitting there work in 2 with one being long, sprawling pieces of industrial minimalism & the other being more melodic possibly even ambient music with pianos & nature sounds.

    They are Neu! even today.

  • The most underrated band. They owned the 70's as everything good from the decade owed something to Neu! (Brian Eno, David Bowie, PiL, Faust) and going into other decades as well, right up until todays music.

Any idiot can make music on a computer and a keyboard but you need real talent to create something as beautiful, melodic & lovely like this. Everyone, quite rightly, thinks of kraftwerk when they think of the influences on the electronic music boom of the 80's, 90's & 00's...

  • Neu is legendary!

    - much more atmospheric than stereolab, whom I don't really like - I would not make that comparison. sigur ros might have some similar elements.

  • It is so pleasurable reading the comments here. Neu! was always one of my very favorite Krautrock bands.

I once filled in for the owner of a small specialty music store back in 1978 and one of the records I spun was Neu! 75 and it got such a great reaction from the patrons in the shop at the time.

    This music is timeless.

  • It sucks that in the technological age of auto-tune and MIDI, good music like this tends to be overlooked. I mean, these guys were making this kind of music without the assistance of any pre-programmed equipment whatsoever! Now-a-days any idiot with a computer can get credit for making "good" music, and they don't even have to have any skill or talent at all. These guys started something that was way ahead of it's time. Too bad thier whole concept sort of back-fired on them as time went on.

  • @nameisrobertpaulsen

Agreed! We need a second Krautrock revolution!

  • @uktransplantedyank Yes!! I agree!!

  • I love this one!

  • Beautiful song!!! That's great

  • the box set is out now. get it while you can!

  • uiept ge wat nin u pag upload sa youtube og pic..

  • this is better that/n w_ever Thanks!

  • genialllll!!!!!!!!!

  • Stereolab is 95% Neu and Silver Apples. The track Mellotron on Peng! is a 100% note for note ripoff of Silver Apples' "Ruby", minus the awesome banjo. Stereolab has almost got together a whole album's worth of ORIGINAL material after almost 20 years of being together IMHO.

  • this is awesome!!

  • In case you're wondering, it's pronounced "NOY".

  • yes...

  • stereotheevinlab

  • Diese Musik hat Power- super toll

  • Super good!

  • this is POWERFUL stuff, NEU rocks !

  • .... great synth , lovely felling

  • Wow, now I know where Stereolab got their ideas from!

  • Pure new wave

  • is this band purely instrumental? i just recently discovered their music and have to say i'm blown away. gives me the same feeling can does.

  • They were using vocals, but mostly only as another abstract instrument. I would qualify only two tracks of their cannon as songs- Lieber Honig and Hero.

  • this song changes my mind.

  • Reminds me of early 80's public television, when I was growing up. It's funny how the early electronic era has such 'human' qualities when it comes to emotion evocation.

  • Well synths back then were pretty much full hands on,,,, So it would have very human qualities to the sound...

  • Majstersztyk.A myślałem,że wiem już wszystko...Na domowym stereo brzmi to świetnie.Dobra robota realizatorska zrobiona przez Conny Plank'a.

  • O Polak ... Dopiero wchodze w te klimaty .. czy gdy znajdziesz chwilke to mógbys np. komentarzem podrzucic mi kilka nazw kapel ?

  • Very nice, refined music and it sounds really polished considering the time it was released!

  • let's hope for more

  • Muy buena!!

  • Zeitlos!!!! Das ist die ECHTE Volksmusik....zunindest für mich! Danke!

  • Hab das Vinyl noch hinten auf den Cover steht was lustiges:"Aufgenommen in einer bekifften Silvesternacht."

  • Amazing how reminiscent this drum programming is of that on Kraftwerk's Autobahn.

  • It isn't programming. It's a real drummer Klaus Dinger, playing what has come to be known as the "motorik" style.

  • @HAJIMEDJ I am pretty sure the Drums were actually played by a drummer and not programmed/cut together :P

  • My favourite NEU! track... Can't stop humming it!

  • incredible song...such grace in such a primitive way

  • Velocity and joy !!

  • aceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :)

  • Beautiful tune.

  • Splendide!

  • I like the positivity that comes with this song.

  • Love this, a smooth electronic sound from Neu!

  • Fantastic!

  • Neu! =Genius

  • echt geil! really awesome!!!

  • Never heard of this crowd till the Sunday times wrote about it. Anyone remeber a free game on the old imac's where you played a little bug running around collecting stuff. Alway's loved the sound track to that game. Sadly could never finish it...Neu! like it...

  • I often envisage looking for bugs with a magnifying glass when I hear portions of this song! It kind of reminds me of my childhood.

  • it reminds me of my childhood and i was born in 78'!

  • one of the few bands that manages to understand movement, to go forwards, backwards, and up and out all at once, and yet without any kind of spectacle

  • simple minds say neu made a big influence on there early style and you can really hear it !! top marks

  • Neu! 75 greatest krautrock album eva

  • Isi means dad in finnish :D PS. Great music!

  • @drummerlandin

Isi means school (informal) in Hungarian :D

    Great music indeed!

  • this music goes out the schemes of modern and classic music....is simply a meltin pot of emotions, sounds....it's like a drug.

  • I love this song!

  • jajaja que pendejo, que musica escuchas tu??

jaja ke limitado conocimiento musical tienes

    ignorante musical!

  • @mrcagado17 'jajaja' huh?

    what the fuck is that

  • imbeciliouzo

  • magnificent

  • I never realised until this moment where Ultravox! got their sound from (yes, they used to have an ! mark too, in reference to NEU! apparently). This could come straight off an Ultravox album.

  • Comment removed

  • Conny Plank was the NEU! and the Ultravox producer. See on Wikipedia.

  • hear also: la düsseldorf/viva and the 3 NEW!!!

7" vinyl records from tapete records; were

    members of kraftwerk/neu...

1 record is from harmonia, bowie's favorite "kraut"-group...excellent sounds

  • Pioneers, they can never be bettered.

  • OK, so now I know from where David Holmes got almost the entire track for his "I Heard Wonders"!

  • too good for words...

  • isi means dad in finnish :)

  • Love this track was brought up to it, my dad would play psychedelic, electronic music on the record player. Thanks dad.

  • Yes, 1975, but it's amazing its up-to-date cool sound. By the way, did Joy Division hear the track?

  • @rakidip I think they heard the song "Hero" for sure: At the end of the song, you can hear a bit of "love can't tear us apart".

  • @Kiekschapp my friend, i think is the other way around, jeje

  • They were together with Kraftwerk the inventors of minimalistic pop music (like Reich, Riley & Glass in Classical)

Eno was inspired by them, German music was

    glorious in the 7ties

  • Wonderfull!

  • Such a great song, such a GREAT band. It's 2008 and still Krautrock bands and prog bands are more or less emulating the sounds that NEU! Can and all the other greats pioneered back in the 60's and 70's... Man, this song is just beyond words. The closest thing to perfection and magic that I have ever heard... Barring Damo Suzukis live improv shows.

  • I listen to this and see where Ultravox got a lot of their ideas from. Listen to the song 'I Can't Stay Long' from Systems Of Romance.

  • Tazz77 ... hey, you're right ...

  • Because 99% of Mankind are mediocre, ignorant people ... They'll never understand that kind of music.

  • that is sadly very true

  • don't think 100% of mankind has heard this xD

  • i do lol

  • 75 es mi album favorito de neu!,isi es una joya futurista,su mejor tema junto al clasico hallogallo.

  • Fantastic,love a bit of neu.

  • sweet tagesschau tv-series music

  • Cool!

    5*****

  • pure joy

  • DAMN !!! I Have Been Looking For This Song For close to 13 years i was to young to know the artist but tonight they played it on the radio and said this is about the only time you will ever hear this song on here again.Good Thing we have youtube :-)

  • @Fiwhiz82 great comment

i love hearing stuff like that; it gives the rest of us hope

    =)

  • @Fiwhiz82 This !!!!!

  • I have this record bought on a US trip and as the turntables are now cd's havent heard it in decades...well done and thank you.

    Good song good memories

  • excellent

  • forgive my english, but this is beyond great.

  • Why this is not a really famous piece of music I do not know. Many thanks.

  • I never could stand Krautrock but this is pretty good. What am I doing here? Wanted to compile somestuff for my krautrock/ prog rock admiring brother. Can see where Kraftwerk took their inspiration from and then a few groups 10 years later

  • maravilhoso,klaus realmenteera um gênio.

  • Toll, das Stück wieder zu hören ! Great to hear this track again !

  • i like it

  • con este tema me despierto todas las mañanas

  • Ficamos órfãos de mais um gênio...

Que futuro nos espera? Espero que possamos sair da mediocridade atual...

    Descanse em paz Klaus...

  • RIP Klaus: A true visionary

  • WONDERFUL!! although it got a quite celestial, pastoral atmosphere respect to all their legendary "hymns" to the noise they used to gift us

    Ciao Klaus, riposa in pace!

  • danke, dass ihr so geilen sound ins netz stellt!

  • muy buena cancion, pero Radiohead tmb es muy bueno :D ... lo cagado si es el regeaton

  • I like the keyboards. They add a nice texture to the whole song. Reminds me of listening to Triad Radio in Chicago in the 1970s !!!

  • excelente musica de estos maestros sonicos del krautrock , mejor que cualquier pendejada de bjork o radiohead , esto SI es avant

  • a huevo que sii!!

    estos si eran vergas!!

    que chido eran neu!

  • SIMPLY RARE !!!

  • i neu! sono la musica

  • VISIONÄR ROTHER!!!!

  • Got an old cassette recording of NEU! off the radio, circa 1976, where John Peel says, "I suppose it's perfectly possible that it was the other member of NEU!, Klaus Dinger, with whom I sat on the steps of the church opposite and who had green hair, but it's all part of the BBC's 'hands across the sea' policy that means we have to entertain these loonies." So I dyed my hair green.

  • The stairs of the St. Pauls in London?

Have a good look maybe you encounter St. Elmo's green light (no panic, it doesn't hurt)

  • genial y perfecto!

  • Probably should be regarded as a La Düsseldorf track...

  • A great track from a very underrated, very talented pair of blokes.

  • nworaven66:haha very funny.

bezgin: well I will consider adding a studio version of Hero, yes , another cool neu! track.

  • Cant have enough of NEU!. i am expecting you to upload "Hero" soon.

  • neu! where the best at progressive electronic thanks for posting
