To me, Baroque music is beautiful order. It takes so much to make classical music perfect to a composer. Being a perfectionist yet artistic, I appreciate it.

I just love love love everything from the Baroque period! I'm one of those people who live mentally in times bygone and feel ill at ease in this modern world of efficiency and cold rationality. All life is dominated by the necessities of productivity and efficiency now, there is no longer room for beauty and play in life. We have abandoned centuries of accumulated wisdom about beauty and elegance and made our world that much uglier and duller place in which to live.
I feel the same. I live in Paris and the decadence is here. I wonder if it's worth fighting against it or we are doomed like the romans, the greeks or the egyptians in the past...
Do you really think that XXI century is ugliest than the baroque period?? you are only thinking in the kings and noble people, the kind of life of the poor people of that period, almost the 80% of the population =S
@masameus: Well, a little perspective is on order. Most of the ordinary rude building which filled the world then have either burned or fallen down. Believe me, everything was not Baraque palaces, even in the Baraque age.
