  • What's the title of the song at 3:00? ^^

  • when you desolder, are you using a regular soldering iron or a desoldering iron? i saw them sell a desoldering iron in radio shack but didn't see what the difference was. thanks.

  • bad soldering!

  • Awesome video! Was wondering what that thing was when you de-soldered the DC Jack?

  • Really great video. I'm quite new to soldering - can you explain why you add new solder to the braid to help suck up the old solder?

  • I used the braid and got most, if not all, of the solder out but the jack won't even budge. What do I do??

  • @tbailey10395 Remove all solder. Good Luck!

  • @FastVideoTech We finally got it figured out! Thanks!

  • @JDTV1995 Thank you but I do not know if I will be replacing a RAM slot any time soon. I would like to see it done so please make a video if you do decide to replace one. Thanks for watching!

  • what do you do if you accidentally pull out the copper sleeve when pulling the dc jack from the mother board?? the pin to my new dc socket doesn't connect to the mother board because the hole is too large...Am i SOL???

  • @kid71112 Please check your messages.

  • @FastVideoTech Hey Thanks Again For the Help!!!

  • @kid71112 Were you able to fix it?

  • @FastVideoTech nope.. not a snow balls chance in hell lol. so far ive broken 2 laptops by accidentally pulling off the copper sleeve while taking off the DC jack. even by fortifying it in the link u showed me. still no power to the mother board.. if i could melt copper i could fix it in a heart beat...Thx for all the help.. i really do appreciate it.

  • He excuses, of all the watios is he the welder?

  • What is that copper looking tool that you lay down at :27 ? Some kind of sponge that soaks up the old solder? And you put down some solder at :37 too, is that to get the old solder to adhere to the copper thing? I'm looking to learning how to do this on my own but not exactly sure where to start or what some good best practices are.

  • @OneGun09 It's a desoldering braid. You could google soldering and desoldering to read about it more. It's a great skill to have!

  • THANK YOU so much really really really really

  • @morktista YW I'm happy to help!
