  • lookin for a man with that mouth, she cusses worse than a drunk person

  • Does she kiss her mother with that mouth? Never mind, she can still kiss mine..... (:

  • lol it's so rare to hear such an icon from that time cussing like there is no tomorrow.

  • The All Music Guide review by Eugene Chadbourne says these are from those sessions, which makes no sense - why would she be recording a Gershwins tune for an album of Cole Porter songs? Perhaps he referred to another batch of outtakes...she recorded this song for the Easy Does It LP in 1968. Sounds like the same personnel - whoever they were, I couldn't figure that out.

    Watch your 'S'es!

  • this is from her "All Through the Night" sessions.

  • usually a good studio musician can play in the key the singer wants, but it sounds like she's trying to match a recorded track.

nothing sexier than a beautiful woman who can cuss.

  • @DrBorisBalinkoff Really?Because the woman said a couple of curse words shes trashy? Please Ms.London had more class in her pinky finger then you do in your whole body.

  • I loved this woman...she was my first gig in the biz...she was the best...

  • "I sound like Carol Channing....in drag" LOVE IT!

  • And I thought Bobby Troup was the potty mouth of the Emergency! cast!

  • Is that Barney Kassel on guitar? He was an amazing guitarist. A nice run on the "give up" at the end, lol.

  • "Someday he'll come along, the man I love

And he'll be big and strong, the man I love,

And - AH s**t, forget it!"

    Romantic poetry at its best.

    :-)

  • Ah-hahahahaha!!! That's amazing. I just love seeing what happens behind the scenes.

  • uau. thanks for posting. now I know where the end of your marlboro song montage comes from. is this on a cd?

    cheers

  • Yes, just human! I think that her efforts weren't so bad in this take. I've heard that she was always very critical with her own work and lacked self-convidence. She also didn't like to perform in front of an audience. She is one of my three most beloved female singers. Thanks for posting this,

    Thomas from Germany.

  • Yep, this is very endearing. Just when you couldn't love her voice enough, this audio surfaces and you find out that she is fallible. I am curious, who are the other two singers of your 3 ?

  • Hello! my absolut No. 1 is Miss Peggy Lee. I started collecting her records at age 16 and I was the luckiest guy in the world when I met her backstage after her JVC-Festival concert at Carnegie Hall in 1995. She was at ill health, sitting in a wheel chair--and holding her hand was a little frightening for me...lol. Her magical charisma was a active as ever... ;-) No.2 is Julie and No. 3 is (a little in contrast to the other two legends) Miss Kay Starr. Her earthy and heartful sound is so great!

  • No 4 is Dakota Staton, No.5 is Ethel Ennis and No. 6 is Lucy Reed. LOL I feel like an adolescent fan..at nearly 42...

    Take care *

  • ..oh, and close to No. 6 is Carol Kidd! Wonderful singer!

  • Just not a good session - but endearingly

    human and funny.

  • the guitar also said s*** forget it! in the end.. this is so cool

  • so sweet! love her even more!!!! thanks.

  • Lol,It is so funny and so awesome.

  • this is hilarious! oh my god
