Ahhh the old E Type I used to drive... a cheaper alternative to the U Type.... and it showed! Nice to see it still exists.

Oh yes,and not only does it still exist but when I played on it 18 months ago,it was good enough to go back on the run.

As far as I know,it was purchased for use in Limerick but went straight into store there as a reserve appliance and never got put to work.

I believe somewhere in the region of £60k was spent refurbishing this Ladder, shortly before disposal from LFB. Nice to see it working again, can't say I miss it though!! I have some pictures somewhere of it in use, I will try to find them.

Yes it was,and now I wish that I had gone back up with the camera so you could see the view I had from the top of that ladder.

If we repeat this some time I promise to do that.
