Martial Arts is demonic I didn't give up right away when I became s Christian because I hated turn the other cheek but God was merciful I haven't practiced in years
the idea here is that yoga and martial arts are rivaling ideologies to christianity, so therefore, because this guys product is christianity he tells you that any other ideology is false and dangerous. But that in our day and age anybody in the western world would believe this mumbojumbo about demons entering your body and inhabitating it because you held your arm a certain way is beyond me. If you fall for this your spiritual well being is a hopeless case anyway.
All the devil needs is one ignorant doorway...and if you say yes and open yourself to something...then it's on you...simple as that people...everyone should study deliverance and demons and then you will be aware and discern more about the spiritual world if God isn't speaking to you already in vision and dreams..
I see what you was saying. Thing was Ip Man was segragating the the mystics from the training of Wing Chun. It turned into being scientific knowledge and practicing self-defense. I do agree about Yoga though.
The real fun part is your implicit assumption that symbols are objective and universal. This is basically a magical understanding which implies that, for example, you can do the sign of the cross, or take the communion, and it will work regardless of what you believe. It is definitely not biblical, by the way, or Hebr 11 would be worthless.
I've just found out earlier in the week. I joined a yoga class about 4 weeks ago at my college. we meet every Friday. Something told me to research it, I found a couple of websites. Me and my mom did some more research. wow they make it seem so innocent. My teacher had us do daily practices/studies of the Sanskrit at home and she was teaching us sun salutations, which doesn't even sound right to me, salute to the sun? but I withdrew from that class. @TheOldschool1979 I think ideally we should have the Holy Spirit working in us so strongly that the spritual authority itself would stop anyone trying to hurt us or our families, but most including myself don't walk in that kind of victory so yes I'll defend myself or my family with the worst kind of violence I can conjure if forced into that situation. We still have to deal with the fact that we are in a fallen world and I'm sorry but if I were to kill someone who was attacking my wife I would.
Respond to this video... I'm sure there are cases when a chrisitan may be convicted of it once a certain level is reached because the religious aspects are still taught pretty often. There are amrtial arts that aren't as religious in nature. I don't think krav maga has many spiritual influences, at least not at first
@TheOldschool1979 Well when your God why would you need to know martial arts. You already have all the power in the world to protect your village from attack. I guess when we Christians realize that we have all the power in the world at our disposal that anyone would need then we'd have no use for it either. Martial art itself isn't evil. The temple and city needed to be defended from attack so the monks came up with a style of fighting to defend themselves.
@Drewskie226 Depends completely on what type of martial arts it is and how you practice it. I agree with you that there is nothing wrong with just doing it as a hobby for body exercise.

Even though you believe it's OK to practise yoga, but as long as you know that your heart is right and you desire to honor God. The worse thing is when someone believes yoga isn't right but still does it. You don't have to lose respect for Curry Blake just because you disagree. :) God bless

As far as his description of Wing chun goes. Wing Chun is the first Martial Art that Bruce Lee ever learned. Also, I don't know how far I would want to go with that? I mean whats next Going to church on Sundays or celebrating Christmas and Easter/Pascha? I mean People can get rediculous in the protests.SDA is a good example.
