  • Shame the Alfas only lasted two years (94, 95) - they were the best looking and best sounding cars. Great drivers too.

Glad Tarquini took it in '94

  • good video by the way!

  • 7:30 lagunas pwned!

  • isnt the audi very nice car...

  • @imleafer of course!

  • the best part of the video was when the volvo 850 vs bmw m3.

  • The Audi's really was the best car in 96, but it's all down to Biela to get the most out of it. You have to remember that his teammate Bintcliffe had an identical car, and he finished the season 7th, and he didn't win any races...

  • accord the best...

  • @ovietec010 p 406 are the best :)

  • It's nice to see a Honda Accord in there. I would've been eleven in 96', but it makes me feel a little better about my Honda today lol.

  • mate...wheres 2001 onwards?

  • If I had a choice of cars to race in this era they would be Ford Focus RS500 at 300bhp Renault Laguna Coupe at 300bhp Vauxhall VXR8 at 300 bhp Mitsubishi Evo at 300 bhp Volkswagen Scirocco at 300 bhp Hyundai Genesis at 300 bhp Ford Mondeo at 300 bhp Cadillac CTS 3.6 V6 at 300 bhp Audi A4 3.2 quattro S-line at 300 bhp BMW M3 at 300 bhp
  • where are the alfas? these cars are not good looking enough.

  • @MrRunforyourlife . They only raced 1994 and 1995 sadly

  • @fontheking5 they were beauties, were'nt they?

  • @fontheking5 weren't the Alfas from DTM, actually?

  • @MrRunforyourlife

Alfa put every penny in ITC/DTM series for 1996.

  • @ 3:50 look at the audi starts! fast!

  • Ugg... Audi. 4WD ALWAYS makes it easier. no wonder they won so much.

  • Why the hell did Vauxhall get rid of the cavalier when it won the previous year?!?

  • The Vectra did replace it and the Cavalier was no longer the current model . But the Cavalier was always fast ,

  • Vectra was a pile of shite.

  • @fontheking5 those Vauxhalls later we used in the South American Touring Car Championship

  • @fontheking5 The team also changed hands I think , from RML in 1995 to Triple 8 in 1996; that might have had an influence.

  • @dave41184 Actually Triple Eight only took over the Vauxhall effort for 1997, RML were still running them in 1996.

  • @KeyToTime All down to marketing, The Vecta needed the marketing push and as fontheking5 said it wasn't the current model.

  • @KeyToTime If you do a comparison between the times year-on-year the Vectra was faster than the Cavalier. It's just that it was a brand new car and the rest of the teams had highly developed cars already, so it looked slower than it really was. Remember, the highly developed car was the Cavalier the year before.

  • caraka vei que loko...tenho apenas 13 anos

  • What was Audi's weight penalty? An extra windscreen wiper? :)

I still remeber the names and the cars. Great races :)

  • Quite hefty, I believe.

  • 90 kg for the first 8 races in 1997 and then it was 60 kg for the rest of the 1997 season

  • Yes, maybe it was too much, but I'd like to see again 4wd cars on touring. Now more manufacturer (also Alfas or Bmw, Citroen, don't know if Opel/Vauxall has 4wd optional) could apply this technology, would be funny to see them if properly weighted. We already have Awd and Rwd, Diesel Petrol and biofuels... The difference between the cars, that's what makes Touring races good!

  • FourWheelDrive AUDI must have been suspended...

  • nice volvo ftw

    the btcc 850's are nasty

haha, these races are so brutal

  • wow look at 6:07 Audi wiping their arse on Renault hahah

  • i have the 3 hour review on vhs if u wanna purchase it or you can try duke video website
