ive lived near or at westward ho alll my life once a quiet little town, now booming with horrible flats! i really hate them they spoil the view ! the little amusement next to the chip shop has closed downalonmg with mr "b"'s and oppisote has also gone !
Thank you Phil and Steph. You've taken me on a trip down Memory Lane.
After arriving from Hong Kong, my mum and my two brothers and I lived in Westward Ho! from about 1954 to 1957.
During the winters we used to 'surf' at break-neck speed down the steep road into Westward Ho! on plywood 'surfboards' - riding the snow as a highly dangerous and Extreme Sport.
God knows how we didn't get killed shooting across the intersections at the bottom of the hill.
brilliant video , i have been going to westward ho for years now. i always stay in braddicks holiday centre as its a family favorite. cant wait to go down again in sept only 1 month 2 go whoop woop =)
Oh I love it there Phil!!! I want to go into the shops, and collect rocks on the shore, and wade in the ocean, and watch as the gulls float on the air currents. I want to watch the tide come in, and go to the amusements building!! Oh the rainbow!! And the colorful buildings!!
Looks so much New England...no, other way around, isn't it...I love those wave polished rocks on the shore and reminds me so much of home. I'm a bit hung up on stones and rocks because Florida has NO stones...only sand and coquina stone which is just crushed shells, really. The music was beautiful...I'm homesick again. I love this video. Like taking a trip to the north shore of Massachusetts and seeing England, where I've never been, all at once. Thanks so much.
Aaaaaaaaaaaw great Phil !! You know... You've been there only 1 week, but I think you visited the whole area eh ? You ever see your chalet on the inside ??? Hahahahaha Great job mate !
Absolutely gorgeous! And the rocks on the beach are so... rounded! The gray clouds don't spoil it a bit! Love the colorful town, especially the rows of townhouses and shops-- reminds me of home. Well... except for the stonework. Ooooo-- a rainbow! Don't see those much anymore, but wonder why...
Thanks Susan. That was the only day we had rain, it lasted about 10 minutes and then was gone. Not far from there, in Cornwall too, they had flash floods and road clusres and all. Only a few miles away.
i live down road from here lol

The bird Sanctuary is only 90 minutes away from me.
And the National Wildlife Reserve. What a treat!
