We used a canon rebel xt with an open shutter (anywhere from 10 seconds to 4 minutes). And yes, small flashlights.

I should post new ones. I've got a new camera and have gotten much better with these...

the exposures vary. anywhere between 12 seconds and 4 minutes. most were burned in afterwards with a regular flashlight...
