  • I made this in 3 rounds and I would like to join it as squares to make a blanket . It's not very square though because of the 2dc 1 CH 2dc corners . Will it still work ?

  • Just picket up a 1 pound Baby Blanket yarn ball at AC Moore for 5$ and it should be enough. Thanks for the tutorial.

  • Wondering where the rest of these videos are????

  • I just bought this yarn today at AC Moore, I got the 300g ball in Pitter Patter, white, and blue. am doing one blanket in just Pitter Patter and will let you know how much yarn it takes.

  • If I want to crochet for adult blanket. Can I do that and how this is my first time crochet. Thank for yr lesson.

  • @xalang yes you can make this into an adult blanket....follow the tutorial the same and with more yarn keep going around and around until the blanket is the size you want ;) Cathy @ The Crochet Crowd helpdesk :)

  • I just finished this blanket. I am a month into learning how to crochet and this was my first project. I made it with the solid baby blue color, my sister is due to have a boy in april. It turned out so nice im so proud of my self and i know the baby is going to love snuggling up in it. Thank you so much for this tutorial Mikey. Im looking forward to the next project.

  • I am thinking of using one roll of the Bernat and then one of the Bernat Pipsqeak. I would have to use two sizes of hooks but I think it would turn out amazing. What do you think Mikey? I want to make it for myself because I love soft blankets:)

  • can I use this yarn to make the sugar pop afghan ? well it work?

  • too small even to be preemie blanket...8 rows not enough and this is a zellers store that has been taken over by Target so they are getting rid of everything...might just have to find another colour that will go with it

  • @suegray60 Wow mine was bigger than that... I wonder what the difference is... What size was your balls! LOL funny to ask that! Don't say huge because that's what they all say! LOL

  • @mikeyssmail the balls do matter, most of what I have found available is 3.5oz only,, so I need 6 balls instead of just two. the price works out to about 20.00 us dollars. So It works out cost wise to be the same.. Just more balls.

  • @hibird357 yes we are aware of the differences in the sz of the skiens that are available and are going to add a message in the video explaining this!! cathy@the crochet crowd helpdesk :)

  • okay so I got the 2 balls of baby blankie which is supposed to make this blanket...15 rows and approx 33 inches I have now run out of yarn half way through row 9 and it is nowhere big enough and also they have no more of the colour I am using left at the store...what should I do now

  • @suegray60 Wait for more yarn... You could pull it out so that it stops at the start and stopping point... and wait for more yarn to arrive... or use it as a Preemie Aghan

  • Where can I find lesson 16 please?

  • I finished two balls of yarn. I think it will need two more... Love it though

  • love this but we don't have that type of yarn in Trinidad

  • I have been waiting on a video on what to do with this yarn...thank you so much!! i bought this yarn by barnet called pipsqueak i hope u do a tutorial on what to do with that yarn...

  • How heavy is this blanket in the end? Is it weighty? Maybe too heavy for a newborn?? I'm not saying it's not worth making or anything (b/c the bby can always grow into it & stuff), but I'm concerned about how heavy it is in the end... you know?

  • @ModestTruth I dont think it would be too heavy for a newborn to be put on the floor on or wrapped in while in a carrier or carriage...the yarn is very soft and plush and the way mikey crochets this blanket it leaves holes through out so its not a super tight stitched blanket....I wouldn't put it in a crib with a newborn or baby of any age but I wouldn't put anything in a babies crib at all for safety reasons.....hope that helps....cathy@mikeys helpdesk :)

  • That a great project for a beginner too.

  • That yarn is AMAZING

  • Hey MIkey, can I do this blanket with a size k hook. Thats the biggest one I have.

  • @hearfan hello....you can use the k hook but because your using a smaller hook than Mikey your stitches will be smaller and the blanket will come out slightly smaller in the end than his....if you follow the tutorial and the blanket isn't big enough at the end you may have to add some rows but it will work up pretty much the same other than that.....hope that helps....cathy@mikeys helpdesk :)

  • @mikeyssmail It does, thanx

  • As a brand new self taught crocheter, I have watched many videos and your process of adding a new ball/strand/yarn knots, is the best idea I have come across. thank you for your enlightenment.

  • Aww soo cute! It looks soo comfy! I'm gonna make myself one(; lol, no i have bunch of nieces and nephews and many of my friends and cousin that has a baby on the way. So i might make one!! Thanks Mikey! Your tutorials are Awesome!! HAPPY CROCHETING!!

  • I like this idea.. It can basically be used with any thick yarn, right? I need to (start) and finish my sons blankets, before they both get married and leave me. Hahahaaa

    Thanks for sharing Michael.

Happy New Year to You and Diva Dan XOXO

  • I love this pattern! Yarn is very pretty. Interesting finishing technique.

  • I love that yarn! What else can it be used for besides blankets?

  • @BonnieLTyler it can be used for socks scarves hand towels

  • ~~for all of you looking for the written pattern for this......this is a really new video so it may take mikey a few to link the written pattern if there is one..... ~~
