  • great skills! do you used mylar sail or standart T2 dacron?

    best regards

  • I still never get tired of watching this video. Thanks Andrea.

  • Hi, I see it fly a lot. I like it I'm interested in flight with disabilities Deaf fact, I asked how much money flying? it ATM, I have very much money to be answered

  • So beautiful.

  • Nice!!

  • WOW!!

  • video bellissimo, quanti g tiri durante il looping? Ciao e grazie!

  • @novemberlost

  • ciao Andrea, thanks for your answer to me and to some advice for hanglide acrobatits, i was seen many time all your video and i learn many from you. Thanks for advice, i,m prepare to doit loops and i think soonly i gona tray this. Salute

  • Ciao,Andrea!! Sei un mito!!

    Permettimi alcune domande...

  • I never get tired of watching this video.

  • Amazing!

  • Andrea, as always a great video with a really dramatic soundtrack! Nicely done.

  • I watch jour video and tray to learn everething what i seen, you are realy great pilot. I hope maybe i do this soonly, i have desire to do this, but your are great. Please give some advise about loop and speen, thanks and ciao

  • Learn to fly first! ;)

  • Thanks, smart advice, i will sand you my pictures of loop, maybe is help to you. greeting

  • hi Croakamikaza,

    thanks for your compliments!

Is difficcult to give brief advices via mail about acro maneuvers... too much things to say...:)

The only brief advice I can give you now is to make a long, progressive training with Wing Overs... those are the basics for everything in acro (except the spin)...

    Fly safe!

  • Grande Andrea!

  • Grazie Anear!

    A presto,

    Andrea

  • awesome glide! great sounds too!

  • thanks bigdog!

  • Thanks for the stimulating memories. Awesome flying!

  • COMPLiMENTi!!!

  • grazie!!

  • Good the best,brazil post..

  • that's it, come the end of this year i'm officially starting this sport!

  • enjoy!

  • Awesome........We need to see more of these extreme hang gliding videos. Brilliant!!!

  • many thanks Bateleur,

if I will find the time I'll try to make some other video shots during the next summer and, obviously, I will put them in youtube...

    Andrea

  • ciao Andrea! vedo spesso i tuoi video, complimenti!!!

mi piacerebbe chiederti quanti anni hai? e quando hai iniziato a volare? ciao grazie e complimenti ancora!

  • Ciao,

  • WOW...my dad is Croatian champion in HG,and I'm waiting for spring to start, too :)

every time when I see this,I'm more hungry for flying! Best regards,Igor!

  • hi Igor,

my compliments to your dad and good luck for your fly career! ...and thank you for your comment ...i'm very happy to know that my video makes the people "hungry for flying"... :-)

  • What is that you are in before you takeoff? I think the video is awesome!

  • That's the "trolley" we use during the boat-towing (or aero-towing) take off. It makes the take off phase easier and safer.

Thanks for your nice comment! :)

    Andrea.

  • Do you have to change anything on your Wills Wing T2 for doing loops ?

And do you think a Laminar st is good for loops ?

Do you have any advices for doing loops ?

    5*****

  • No, my T2 is a production-model glider. I don't have special equippments; I just have chosen the safest optionals available for acro: alu leading edges (no carbon), alu control bar (no carbon), litestream uprights and 2.5 mm side wires. That's all.

The Laminar ST is good... I've used it in acro before the T2.

Sorry but there are too much things to say about doing loops safely. It wouldn't be serious from my part to start with an acro course via youtube... :).

  • Thank you !

My hang glideteacher said too that you cant see when anything is broken on the carbon, but on the alu pipes you can see when anything isn't ok

    C U AT THE CLOUDBASE =)

  • yes, exactly... that's the reason why I've chosen those optionals... :)

    fly safe!

    Andrea.

  • Very nice, it seam so easy with you on the control bar.

What is your speed when you start your loop on your T2 ?

    Patrick

  • Thank you Patrick,

in acro we don't use the speed indicator, and we have to "feel" the speed during the dive. So, we don't start "exactly" with the same speed every loop. In the past we tried some speed indicators with the "max speed memory" function and the result was that with these last generation gliders we can easily reach 150 km/h during a vertical dive. But you can safely loop the glider with less speed and i think that we probably stay between 120 and 130 the most part of the time.

  • Awesome Loopings there, Andrea :D

    Loved the song too!

Wanna learn hang gliding too, unfortunately with fresh OP'd knee no good idea :(

    Draaca.

  • What does it mean "OP'd"... maybe "operated"? In that case I can perfectly understand you because I've just broken my knee the last june and I've stayed all summer long walking on crutches! Anyway, you are very young, so you have all the time you need to recover your leg and to start with hang gliding. Thank you very much for your nice comments and good luck for everything :).

    Andrea.

  • That pilot is HOT!

  • Thank you!

    Andrea.

  • Great video ! nice music ! awesome aerobatics !

  • thanks!!!

    Andrea

  • This video is great! cant wait to see more!

  • thank you very much Buddha,

I hope to find the time to prepare some new clips during the next summer.

    Andrea

  • Very cool man!

  • Thanks!

    Andrea

  • how do you steer one of those things??

  • An hang glider is steared through the weight shifting: if you move your body forward the glider will nose-dive, gaining speed... if you move your body backward, the glider will nose-up, loosing speed... if you move your body on one side, the glider will turn on that side... it is very, very easy at the end.

  • cool. where could i buy one or would i have to make it

  • you should find an hang gliding flight school in your area and you should attend a complete flight course. After that you will have to pass an examination to obtain the hang gliding pilot's licence. Then you can buy your first flight equipment directly from the school...

  • can 2 people be on the same one like if you wanted to take your girl withyou?

  • yes, but you need a tandem glider, which has a bigger size.

    Andrea

  • Congratulations Andrea, It is Art.

    Alex Diez

    Guatemala

    Come some day !

  • Thanks again Alex,

    Andrea

  • niiiiiiicee!!! super smooth loops.

is this t2 especially equipped for loops? i just bought one and i maybe wanna try to loop too.

    btw: forca di presta rulez!!!

  • Thaaaanks!!! :)

No, my T2 is a production-model glider. I don't have special equippments; I just have chosen the most "safe" optionals available for acro: alu leading edges (no carbon), alu control bar (no carbon), litestream uprights and 2.5 mm side wires. That's all.

    Andrea.

  • well that's perfect then, i even got the same speedbar with the tires on.

    thank you very much.

    happy landings;)

  • you are welcome!

  • Loved the wingover straight into a spin at 1:26. What easier and safer to spin, VG off or on. Cheers.

  • thanks for your comment Ian.

The Vg is always full on.

    Cheers

    Andrea

  • Great Video! well put togetter. We need more video's and pilots like this to get people into the sport. Keep up the good work man.

  • thanks Buddha,

I've seen your videos and they are also great so, go on like that man!

  • WOW!!! Looks like a blast! I just upgraded from my Falcon, but it will still be years if not decades before I'm able to do these moves!!! Gread vid. Keep'em coming and fly safe.

  • Thank you fendrstr (are you a stratocaster guitarist?) :-) and keep on flying!... maybe you will be able to do these maneuvers much sooner than you expect ;-)

    Andrea.

  • what will happen if u crashed into the water man.. i would love to try this sport..

  • nothing really dangerous will happen. In this kind of acro contests there are always two or three safety boats, with scuba divers inside who are ready to help you if you are in trouble. Anyway, usually, when you crash into the water you can easily reach the surface to breath, to open your harness and to swim far from the glider. After that the people on the safety boats will take the glider out of the water.

    It is really safe.

  • haha.. its still scary.. if u're ready to go and u forgot to hook ur harness on..

  • ...actually, it can happen if you don't carry out a pre-flight check list. You know, as in any other "risky" activity it is just a matter of procedure ;-)

  • Dude, fantastic camera angle. I felt like I were there. Great job on the vid. And I have been reading about you in the rag. RESPECT.I can only hope to fly as well. Peace brother.

  • Thank you Glen,

    Andrea.

  • That's inspiring man. I've been wanting to hang glide since I was 12 years old - but now i'm in college and don't know how to afford it :(. But that vid makes me want to keep saving!

    awesome man.. awesome.

  • Thanks for your comment, man!

In truth, Hang Gliding is not so expensive at the beginning. After the first course you can fly for some years with very cheap, second hand material. So... you won't need to save so much money, mate!

I wish you your dream to fly will come true very soon. It is a great experience!

    Andrea.

  • Haha for sure man!

Keep flying dude - you make it look awesome!

  • cool

  • Thanks.

  • i really liked the second half of the video. the first track track wasn't for me.. but, awesome flying and good edit. Go Hang Gliding!

  • ionfo,

I love your videos and the music you choose for them complements them perfectly. And I am dying to the name of the band/performer who plays the song for this video.

    Thanks

    Woody

  • Hi Woody,

    thanks for your comment.

The piece of music is from the "Kill Bill vol 1" original movie soundtrack and the title is "battle without honor or humanity". I don't know the name of the performer but I think he is probably a japanese composer (i'm not sure).

    Andrea

  • Semplicemente mostruoso.........

  • ...grazie Paolo... :)

  • andrea you are the king mate, when you come to rio de janeiro let me know so we can fly togther =]

    fly 4 fun

  • thank you friend,

I've never been in Rio before and it would be great to come there. It is certainly one of the most attractive place in the world but, you know, from Italy it is a very long and expensive trip. Anyway, if I'll be more rich in the future and I'll decide to come in Brasil... i'll let you know for sure, mate!

    Andrea.

  • come va lì a ginevra,(a parte il menisco)?

  • cioa andrea un saluto dalla sardegna, ci siamo conosciuti a castelluccio l'estate scorsa.

    che filmati!!!

  • ciao mazzone,

    Andrea.

  • Andrea, ciao domani forse vengo al cucco.Sarai dei nostri?

  • Ciao Andrea,sono io Alvise oggi 6 a colbassano o a Roma??

    Ciao

    Alvise.

    Andrea.

  • GRAZIE DI AVERMI DETTO:

    -Futuro campione-

Ma secondo te io diventerò come babbo,te Massimo ecc.?

    ciao

    Alvise

  • no, diventerai ancora più bravo! ;-)

    Andrea

  • Andrea quando verrai su al monte????????

    Ciao Alvise.

  • Ciao futuro campione,

    A presto (spero),

    ciao,

    Andrea.

  • thank you ! -nico

  • Wonderful !!!!!!

Tell me, which hang glider do you think is the best for accro now ? I am planning to buy an aeros combat L12 but I heard it cannot do the "spin"... thanks and well done ! Nico from Switzerland

  • Hi Nico, thank you for your comment.

I'm sorry but I really can't give you a great help because I've never flown in acro the Aeros, Moyes and Icaro gliders. About the Aeros Combat I've also heard that it is very difficult to spin but i've never tried it personally. What I can say you for sure is that my Wills Wing T2 is a very, very good glider. For acro it has just the tendency to "slip" out from the spin during the development but, with the right tuning, it becomes reliable enough.

    Andrea.

  • complimenti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • grazie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

  • complimenti

    incrivel

  • love the sound of the wind in the wires!!

    thanks for leaving it there!!!

  • ...yes, that sound is music for us!

  • Excellent! Your loops look very smooth, and the spins are good too!

  • O cara é fera.

  • un grande!!

  • sei un grande !!!
