  • It looks like it would suffer from the same problem that all WWII German aircraft did...insufficient range.

  • I do not believe this aircraft ever overcame it's inherent Polar Moment of Inertia issues while maneuvering.

  • Der redet so abgehakt .. ob das Absicht ist?

Da gab es doch in den 40er Jahren so einen Bösewicht der redete ähnlich^^

  • jo haste recht =)

  • schöne Doku vom "Ameisenbär" :D

  • Pity the canopy jettison lever ripped two pilots arms off when they ejected-minor detail

  • @58Vulcan

it happend to my grandpa his friend to,

did you mean German or American arms???

  • @58Vulcan

My grandpa flew a Do 335 with Contra propellors in the nose, and in the tail??

Instead of the propellors you can see here, they could fly 877km per our...

And the disigners of this Dornier, also had a new trowser for it,

If they mad a looping with 840km per our, the trowser got automatically pumped up, sothat your blood stays in your head, and also you organics did hurt less...

With a Morser sitz included (mortar stool)!!!

The Dornier of grandpa was called LETZTEL...

  • eric brown flew it after the war ,not as fast as dehaviland hornet

  • @MrFattyfatfatboy Did he flew one as is shown in this video,

I dont think that eric brown flew the one with 2 contra rotation propellers...

  • @Weibkoln yeah ,there was only two models ,one was a trainer,Eric Brown was an english man who grew up in Germany in the 30s, he actualy wanted to join the luftwaffe but they would not accept him so he flew for the royal navy.He flew all allied fighters at RAE and all german planes for the same people. The ME262 and Fw190 were his favourite ,the 262 was untouchable in his eyes.

  • @MrFattyfatfatboy Eric Brown didn't grow up in Germany, he was there as a language student as part of a teacher exchange program 1938/'39 and was a fluent German speaker. He was deported to Switzerland when war broke out with Britain. He then joined the Royal Navy as the RAF didn't need him immediately.Became a test pilot after seeing active service from an escort carrier. Think he still holds the record for the most types of aircraft flown! Oh' and he was Scottish!
