신중현 선생님은 아시아인으로서는 최초라네요.

To call Shin a genius is probably an understatement. He pretty much founded Korean Rock, single handedly. It's something you can't even say about Elvis or the Beatles. For Beatles, there were the Stones, the Who, Zeppelin or others, who could be compared, or even excelled in certain aspects. In Shin's case I don't think there's anyone you can even begin to compare with him.

He's towers tall and no one else is in sight - a genius unseen so far and probably will never be.

I cannot express my respect to Shin Jung-Hyun enough. He is definitely a genius who created something (Korean Rock) from nothing; needless to say, there was no tradition of a kind of music called Rock at all in Korea.

At least for me, he is the all-time NUMBER 1 figure in the history of Korean Pop Music. (BTW, the second is another great man, Cho Yong-Phil. ^^;;;)
