Japan was doin' to China...the men who fought in the American Volunteer Group (aka: The Flying Tigers) were mercenary-like, getting paid $600 a month plus a bonus of $500 for every Japanese plane that they brought down....in other words, the U.S. government refused to recognize what was goin' on in China, even though the Flying Tigers were the only good news during the early months of WWII

Actually the volunteers were there before Pearl Harbor. They operated as part of the chinese air force.

This video says that the tigers were fighting the Japanese before America had entered the war. Then it says we start attacks on December 20, 1941.

Well, America was at war on December 8th, so I'm a little confused.

Then it goes on to describe the "Grateful Chinese". What happened? Why are they poisoning us with so many goods we import from them today?

@igo4mako We (by we I mean the Americans) had to hide it to keep the Americans out of the war for long but after Pearl Harbour there was no longer a need to hide the fact that the Americans had been hiding as fighter pilots in China

@cfredflyu From what I read about Pappy Boyington, he did not complete his contract with the AVG. And besides getting paid for the jap planes he shot down. He wanted to get paid for the ones he destroyed on the ground when he was bombing and straffing Jap airports.
