I have a Christian mom and an Atheist dad, I was a Christian for 12 years, then realised the truth, one year later, I tell my parents and friends; they barely gave a shit.
My parents weren't religious, I say their views were mostly agnostic. The rest of my family was Christian and I spent a lot of time with them, but as soon as I turned old enough to think for myself, I became atheist. That was around age 13.
I became an atheist at the age of 5.because my church taught little innocent blameless kids that they would go to hell if they did not believe in everything the bible said. What I was thinking was that if GOD knew anything and everything past to present to the future.Isn't GOD just watching a really long movie from heaven.
I was never taught to be either christian or atheist, I was left completely to my own devices about it. And ever since a young age, I started to become atheist. I think the fact that, with no brainwashing either way, I became atheist, and have always found most religions lacking, shows that belief can only come about if is taught to you. And so there can't really be a God. If you left a child in the woods, would he have become a Christian? no chance. And why would God make it so, if he was real?
I really didn't understand what religion was until I was about eight. My mom never really bothered with it. Around that time she started dating a really religious man. Although I really didn't understand organized religion, I had already rejected the idea of god, and that didn't sit well with him. One time to his church, my mom broke up with him a month later, we've both been christian wary atheists since.
My parents never talked about God. They sent me to sunday school when I was six, but I was already too old to be made to believe that stuff. The sunday school people said they were there to teach us...But when I asked questions they answered vaguely and evasively. Even at six, I could recognize the emotional manipulations they were applying to avoid giving real answers to my questions. If you say you are a teacher but discourage question-asking, how can I possibly take you seriously?
One of my biggest fears is being falsly accused of a crime and the judge learning Im an atheist. Its unlikely my trial would be fair and my sentancing woul definately be unusually harsh.
troubling that a little girl with access to the internet and a webcam would complain about how "cruel" God is. boo hoo your grandma died. worse things happen to people each and every single day. i'm not religious but i would find it easier to relate to older people who have some genuine insights. not saying the kid doesn't have a point, but she hasn't seen enough of life to conclusively say anything. do ones with adults please. very interesting subject matter nevertheless.
I'm a closet Atheist. I started not believing in God ever since I first thought about it. My parents shove Christianity down my throat and we go to church every Sunday, hell, I don't get it. There's no reason for me to believe in God. Their arguments are always... "You can't prove Evolution, you can't see it happening, you can't believe in something that's only theorized, and you can't believe in something because others do." Hell, isn't that the case for Christianity?
@Flobabazz Same here, closet Atheist. Well, my mom knows, but absolutely everybody else in my entire family (50 or so people who, are Roman Catholics) is ignorant to my belief system. I deconverted when I was in about 6th grade, and have only told like 3 people.
And I agree, that seems to be the argument every Christian puts up. It's sad, really.
When I feel alone, I turn to videos like this and talk to other Atheists.
@BostonBoy00 I had just recently found this channel and started watching these videos. It helped me confirm my Atheism and I can say that it's boosting my confidence, little by little. I really don't know why people believe in God. Evolution makes a lot more sense to me and it's what I believe.
Yet people think it's such a hate crime to not believe in God.
@Flobabazz Yeah, I can understand why they disagree with Atheism, but there's really no need to hate. Most of Christianity is a joke anyway. A Christian will go to heaven even if he commits a million sins, but a non-Christian who committed zero sins goes to Hell? Wtf lol
@Flobabazz It will take generations to change. But it is vitally important that we do. Big money and control is what it is really about. Listen to the GOP candidates who identify as Christian (or Mormon). Do you think they really believe in creation? It's more likely they are just preying (not praying) on peoples fears. Where would they be if not for the support of the 'moral minority'? You know...the ones with the money. Religion is helping to keep the status quo.
My journey to atheism was motivated by a search for the truth. I started by asking questions of theologians and spiritual teachers, but the answers weren't convincing to me. I don't believe I'm "more logical" or smarter than anyone, but there were moral injustices done in my community against human beings who had done nothing but live their lives freely, and religion couldn't explain why these people were persecuted. Then I noticed their other arguments were also asinine.
@aureez Yes, after so much oppression religion was forced back into the greatest thing that has ever happened to this world... Other then toilet paper :/
@boredomtv100 The negativity takes over the world. Worse is that long time told lies started to do it's purposes- majority is convinced that that lie is true.. so it's really mission imposible to open their eyes.Bible is just my tear in the ocean :(
I found these videos and The Thinking Atheist after I had said the hardest words I ever said to my family. Telling them I no longer believed in a god was so liberating. I don't even think liberating is the correct level of freedom I felt. To anyone who hasn't said them. Say it. Say it as loud as you can and don't worry about what others think.
....is there any Atheists on YouTube that were Jews? I'd love to hear their stories. Everything I've heard is all ex-Christian. There's gotta be someone in the millions of users and the thousands of views that used to be Jewish....right?
I became an atheist when I was on 5th grade, I was interested in science when I was even 6 so I used to read science books instead of story books and stuff, I knew a little high school physics and I used to watch science channels all the day. Then I realised that god was against all the rules I knew and I had been supporting evolution since I heard it for the first time. Then at school we started to have "religion" lessons in 6th grade, things started to seem even more senseless.
@DexterEvilGenius Then I started to read more about science, quantum physics, Einstein's theories about space and time, more advanced sciences. Well and now I go to high school and I don't have even a tiny bit of faith in me. I also think, people say god rewards his believers and punishes who don't. I am one of the most successful kids in my school I go to one of the best schools in my country and I have anything I want in life, I am happier than most who believe.
@DexterEvilGenius This also made me realise all we are told are lies, and we can only be happy in life by enlightening ourselves with science technology and the will to seek knowledge.
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deuteronomy 4:29 One thing I learned from this video... These people were not committed to finding God, I am a born against christian, just 2 days ago I cursed Jesus and God, I was addicted to pornography and disrespected my parents, cursed instruction, and much swearing.. But Jesus has revealed himself to me again, and he will never relent for my soul.
@CoryStumpf Religion is something that you don't often choose its something that your parents coerce you into. Maybe your parents didn't deserve respect, respect is earned mot given. Swearing isn't bad, a lot of people don't like instruction and there is no valid evidence that you can be addicted to pornography (nor is watching it bad). There was nothing wrong with you but religion wants you to think your garbage and that you need to be saved. Please don't buy into it.
@CoryStumpf So it's porn or the bible? No contest, really. I choose porn. Porn is harmless. The bible on the other hand is full of genocide, rape, torture and sanctimonious banalities.
My story is not of a great tragic moment in life. It wasn't a great epiphany. I knew from an early age, from as young as 8, that me and God didn't click. At 11, I seriously questioned a god's existence. And at 12, I became agnostic. Which I am today. And damn proud of it.
If u believe God is all about love/forgiving or mercy, ur seriously mistaken!!! Why do u think God created hell?? It's because God is one fucked up psycopath who is willing to let ur soul get tortured for eternity just simply u didn't believe him. If u hear ppl's testimony who claimed to have been to hell, they describe all these horrible things that will make Nazi concentration camp look like playground!!!! In conclusion, the only thing that will help u in life is money. Lots and lots of money!
Wow, I'm so glad I was born in Britain, its so more secular, I remmeber when I realised I was an atheist, I said to my friends and no one cared to be honest, it didn't matter, because faith here is what you make of it, YOU not to force on others
@TheWolfboy90 true I am so glad that I am from Finland :) it is easier. But I hate that atheists keep it to themselves but when you are religous in Finland you have to shout about it in politics. It is distracting. The christian party IS trying to force theri "values" on others saying that gays shouldnt marry and that abortion should be murder and so forth. being religious is fine but "thou shalt keep thy religion to thyself" unfortunatly most don't :/
atheism is true freedom. There are no rules, nobody forces you to worship or pray or walk from door to door delivering message. Nobody threatens you with hell or eternal torture if you don't do some of those things. It is freedom to live your life. The only life you'll ever get and to do something with it and to enjoy life to the fullest. I think that that is the beauty of atheism. There is goodness in people and atheists do good even though there is nobody threatening you to do anything.freedom
@BonesAndYouKnowIt not just christians. I have a fan who is aparently Muslim who I've been having a "debate" with about evolution. Totally pointless keeps asking me for one single proof. Just watch "Life- Flying Fish" and see how a fanatic "debates". I am just wating for him to condem me to hell :) for being an infidell or what ever..
@JakobiaP if you wan't to know then just put to google search engine the words "atheists should" but don't press enter. You'll get "atheist should not be considered as citizens" "atheist should shut up" "atheist should die" "atheist should be registerd" "atheists should not be allowed to vote" so that gives a general idea :P
JESUS CHRIST, HIS CATHOLIC-UNIVERSAL-APOSTOLIC CHURCH, SACRAMENTS, THE BIBLE, MIRACLES, HEALINGS, ST. MARY APPARITIONS, MESSAGES FROM HEAVEN, SIGNS IN 2011 ARE NOT A MYTHOLOGY BUT THE REALITY !!!
It is thanks to these people that I am freely able to be an atheist. I come from a generation where it is not only okay to be an atheist, but it seems as if there are more and more nonbelievers. Thank you.
It was really awkward for me to come out to my devout catholic mom that I'm atheist, especially since it was the first day of me and my brother's confirmation. In addition, I sometimes feel that my mom is trying to re-indoctrinate me.
Wow, this video illustrates to me how religious the US really are and how difficult it must be to be an atheist there. I mean, I always knew there are a lot of religiously extreme groups there and it always seemed a bit wacky to me, but I never had problems here in Germany to say that I'm an atheist. I had a much harder time during my identity crisis in my teens when I was interested in neo-paganism. I was called a witch and whatnot. But atheism is widely accepted here.
@raineWoS: Ehm - I don't agree, and well, have a guess: I'm German as well. I'd agree that sticking to atheistic ideas might be easier in Germany rather than in the U. S. (sorry, U. S. folks, I just saidit "might"), but yet it's not exactly what I'd call "widely accepted". Forgive me when I disagree, take a minute, think of Bavarians' countryside, then let's talk again :-/
@GGGNVideos I admit, it all depends on the region you live in. Bavaria is indeed known to be strictly catholic. But if you look at the whole of Germany, I've seen polls from 2005 where only 47% of the citizens believe in a god and an additional 25% in some kind of spirit force. 25% that are atheists are a lot. And I'd wager that many of the believers are less fundamentalistic here than in the U.S. ;)
@raineWoS: That's for sure. I only mentioned that due to the fact that I'm luckily enough to live in Hamburg, known as a fairly open-minded city. Yet - or maybe, just because - as an atheist, things often feel like I had to agree on Christian standards or shut up. - You, however, seem to have quite an idea of what I'm talking about. Good to know. Regards.
@unomnacajit111 XD people become athiests because they do research and compare their findings with what the bible says and come to the conclusion that god simply doesnt exist. as i always say, the absence of evidence is evidence of absence. i dont remember who quoted that...
I've never had a problem. I'm a total asshole and have no delusions of that. Am I an atheist. Fuck yes I am. Have i ever had problems saying that. No i haven't. Reason. Everyone you calls you dumb or narrow minded, looks into your eyes, and always sees a reflection.
I would love to participate in one of these videos with my beloved. His struggle with being an atheist in a Christian based community and my struggle with being raised by horrid Catholics & Christians should be heard, i really do believe that. And with every video of your's, I start to realize that maybe I am an atheist too.
@unomnacajit111 and a christian is worse. A christian is a person who trusts what a 2000+ year old book without any geological proof that the events happened
I was born atheist, as are we all, and have been ever since. My mother hates it, my Dad was filled w/ glee, when I came to realize that there was a term for my "beliefs" and identified myself as atheist. Never saw that sparkle in his eyes before or after. He never got to come out of that closet, and in throws of his dying breathes, my mother had the audacity to ask him if he believed in God, just to justify her own belief that he would go to heaven.
My falling out from Christianity happened when I sat down to the read the Bible in its entirety too. I am so glad that I am free of a religion that holds up that contradictory, violent, sexist, abhorrent piece of bs as its ultimate truth and manual for living. It scares me that so many people believe in it; I just hope they haven't read the whole thing. Who could align themselves with a faith that says it was a great thing that Lot offered his daughters up for rape by a gang?! WTF?!
That teacher has a point. Grapplingignorance cant even show his face on youtube anymore cause hes a teacher and some people found his videos. Now he has to darken the screen and shit
@UndeadClown95 I'm the teacher in this vid. One of my students got onto my computer at the school and found my YouTube channel. Thankfully he didn't play any of the videos, and I was able to clear everything off my channel within a few minutes. I have most abandoned that channel. My career is over if word gets out that I'm an atheist.
Wow, I can't even imagine how that feels. :( In my country it is normal for teachers to be open atheists and many parents would not be happy about teachers expression religious views outside of classes on religion (which you can usually drop out of or chose ethics/philosphy instead). I wish you all the best and hope that things will change fast so that you don't have to hide that part of your life anymore. :)
@TheCrankyAtheist I'm curious to know where you work. I don't mean an exact location, but a general area. Are you in the southern part of the U.S.? When I was in 10th grade, my biology teacher was an Atheist. I don't remember her taking any flack for it, and I was wondering if it had to do with where I live.
@needformadness god its going to punish omg ur in Gods wrath, thats why i dont feel sorry of people like you if you to hell. how can u deny ur creator the one that made you and this world. u will remember me wend u are in hell, what i told you. but whats the point in talking too walking rocks. u know why u dont see the truths cause GOD has not open ur eyes. but i feel very sorry for u guys and what would happen in the future.and one more thing have u ever open a Bible and read it before u talk
@karinawildfashion1 You won't convince an Atheist with anything but logic; and you're gonna need more than "read the bible", especially because many of these atheists have read the bible, many used to be Christian or were born in Christian families. Furthermore your argument, especially in such poor grammar, only re-enforces their beliefs. You can't even understand it, you can only comprehend parts and put it together. If you wanna convince someone, first learn how to put a sentence together.
@karinawildfashion1 you probably shouldn't come on athiest chanels & preach about god. An Athiests & a Christians framework of thinking almost completely contradict each other. They might as well speak diffferent languages. An athiest will veiw the world & try to understand it through the logic & reason that is understood through secular thinking & science. A chritsian will try & unerstand the world through there god, based on the knowlege of the bible & through the preaching of doctrine
I have to say that after my reversion to atheism, it was the fact that I then could see that all religions and all events perceived as supernatural were entirely down to human conscious and subconscious creativity.
It's just interesting to observe that we create these things but are blind to the fact that it is our very own minds that are the origins of these ideas, no supernatural force is guiding anything in existence.
is you decision, hell or heaven, have a safe trip to spend eternity in fire!!! i love jesus, and i fell his power in my life and miracles everyday, i am very happy, you are all lost, but heaven is not for people like you!! God is God!!!
@karinawildfashion1 Id rather spend my eternity in hell fire suffering in pain than spend it with bunch of boring imposing christians like you and selfish evil arrogant beign called "god"
that girl was talking about starvation, and kids with no food. think about it, food its actually free in the world, who took over control and made you pay for the food humans, who decided that they want to have more power then other people and make people inferior humans so don't blame this in god. in addition to that i don't think she is going out there to help and feed people. and in the Bible it talks about the last days their would be famine and alot of wars wend the time is near.
Thats fine. I'm a good person, i think my only sin is not beliving in God, so i don't feer his punishmen. If he exist he must be so intelligent and comprenhensive so he would understand that it is hard to believe in him in this world.
@jolex7 Thats fair enough, but just keep your options open in your life, keep in touch with your belief of athieism so if you can get a good logic against God,share with everyone but if you find any proof of existance of God,then keep your heart open for change.I am sure that one day you will come across of this very question, remember my words.
@SGlitches This is the most silly question you could ever wish to be asked, can i creature ask this question to a creator?doest it make sense?if we know who created God then obviuosly he is not a god,if God is created then surely there is somebody else powerful than him,so God is beyond creation, becaues if you even answer that imagine mr x created god then another question wull arise who created mr x?than even if answer this with lets say mr y,than who created mr y?it will go on and on
@SGlitches Imagine an Iphone or Ipad asking this question to steve jobs?windows asking to bill gates that who created you?its not possible and its not answerable
@851dash exactly, science is full of supposed unanswerable questions, but in the future they might be answered. We don't even know exactly what an atoms structure is, we might be close but intel we get better magnifications the truth is still out there. You get what im saying? Just recently we figured out theres particles that travel faster than light. And you still think god exist because of a book? most religions came from the use of drugs. Life is full of not answerable questions getting
@SGlitches true, but every knowledge has limitations and boundries,i mean how could possibly be science able to tell us exactly who created this universe?unless or untill the creator himself comes up and announce that iam the creator, because with every solution there is a question as i said earlier,if you read my other comments on this page you would understand what iam saying..as bertrand russel said that God have no data so we cant say he exists, but God claims he's got a data in quran.
@SGlitches so for any atheist he must get rid of quran, just make quran false,if we can prove quran wrong, thats the last most logical opposition of atheism.so iam saying is keep yor mind open about it,why not just say that ok i dont believe in god, thats my logic,so why dont we think if there is one then.what could happen?so lets just be open so at the end if we think god is made out of drugs, just prove it or if he is a physo path as few seintists said about it that he loves punishing people.
@SGlitches on the other side if there is one than what would be our logic of not believing in him?we should be prepared for the worst as well for the best, thats the modern way.nobody can convince anyone to be a atheist or to be a religious person because its a person's own choice to choose from.i hate most religious people, really but the more i am studying about god the more i believe he is the one he is the creator, but in the future if i got a solid logic or argument against him,bye to god
@851dash answered all the time. open your mind and look at the opportunities of life. What is life we could all be a series of dreams working together as one. Who knows and thats the interesting part that keeps scientist guessing and answering questions.
I ask aal the athiest people one question, waht is the answer of 2+2??asnwer is 4 isnt it?now your mother is ill, your son has died, you are in financial problem so you add 2+2,what you think would be the answer?6?8? no your condition, your problems, your anger or your love does not change the rule.the answer will be 4.God has rules, this whole world and yhis whole universe run by set of rules.understand?who feed animals?who feed birds and other life?you????no no,think about it.
@851dash no, it doesn't make sense. If you are talking about human nature, the set of rules are always changing. (i.e. morality of slavery), if you are talking about the nature itself, the rules are set through trail and error. aka natural selection. winner wins and loser loses. You really don't get the fact that birds have to beat each other for the limit resource of food. and no, the winners are not chosen by God, He just can't take that credit
@omggggggggify No rules are not changing its the scientific theories that are changing all the time,as with the solar system, ptolemi had a different theory, galileo was of another opinion and coopernex then came and derived the the most correct and modern theory.there 1.3 million lives who cares for them?who feeds the black whole?its silly to think we are the only one on this universe?who is the master of millions of other galaxies?whay they follow a certain rule and system?
@omggggggggify who created the energy?where the first thing came from?life created from water, where the water came from?where the first tree came from?who triggered the big bang?who gave that emassive amount of energy?these are scientific question, and scince have no answers,if hawkings says that scientific rules are the master of universe than who made those rules?you believe that there is no god,you have reasons to believe than the best way is to get the logic of if there is a god than?
@851dash@omggggggggify I don't know the answer to any of those questions, but doubt deosn't bother me. As Oscar Wilde Said: believing is monotonous, doubt is passionate.
You must see The feynmans Series Chapter 1 here on Youtube to get my point. Im not trying to convince you of anything, I just want you to understand us.
@jolex7 My point is this question of existance of God or non existance of God is the most ultimate question of our lives. If there is no God then we are free to do anything we want to do,If there is God than we are bound to follow him and follow his rules, although there are many relaxations.but my question is if there is a God then I have no answer or excuse to give him, after death, and I will lose millions of years of wonderful life for only 70,80 years, its a bad business in it?
@jolex7 If doubt doesn't bother, does it bother you in any relationship or in any decsion of your life?its obviously yes, doubt is the start of knowledge with it you cant question anything.I am ready to be athiest if there is no god,but i am ready to follow him if he is there, you need to open, dont just shut the door on him,we might get lucky and found a great logic against God in the future, who know?at the moment I dont see any solid reasons,I am not 100% but 95% sure there is a God.
@851dash Can you imagen spending all your 70 years of live worshiping a god just to die and discover that the real god was Chaak', Quetzalcoatl, Ra, Alá, Shiva, or any other? You would go to their respective hells because of worshiping the wrong god.
@jolex7 but can you imagine spending millions of years in hell or in punishment just because you never thought of a God or never searched about a God or never believe in one?whorship doesn't mean you cannot enjoy your life, enjoy your life do you want to do,but just few limitations.like you have joined a gym,you can exercise, stalk girls, drink juices and water, have a laugh, but they wont allow you to have alcohol, have sex or anyhting against their rules.
@jolex7 In this world if you search with clean and clear thought that if their is God and i'm convinced then i'll belive in him,i wont run away from him ,i wont make excuses than you would get the one right and true God,you cannot have so many Gods, there is only one ruler otherwise there would've been so many universal fights.so you are literate you have whole life to keep searching the truth and in the mean time live your life like everybody does
@851dash As I had said earlier, I can't imagine any god or goddness who is concerned about my insignificant live. Is like if I were concerned about a bacteria leaving in China; the only differese is that the gap between me and any god (assuming that she/he exist) is much more bigger than the difference between me and a bacteria. We must do things right, not because a god orders us to do so, but because of the love we have towards the other human beings. That's my personal oppinion. Peace&Love
@jolex7 my questioin would be who invented these moral laws?who founded the ethics?read the histroy you would know that all the moral laws and ethics came from hooly books, all the moral came from religion, all the ethics came from religion from God.if know religious people are miserable and disgusting than you cant religion or God for this.dont judge on people judge on the material on the logic on the truth.and creater would always cares about his creature.
@jolex7 so if i am 95% sure that there is no God than I would be athiest and a proper free man, than i wouldn't follow any rules any laws any moralties than I would do what i enjoy whether its killings or whether its sex or alcohol, selfishness or any sin because than i have no fear no worries of anyone i'll be free soul to enjoy.
@851dash What is happening here is that you aren't trying to understand us. As an atheis I do follow rules and morals, i don't kill nor still, nor I'm selfish. I don't do any of these things beecause I love other people, I love'em, hance I treat them with respect. I believe that if there is any chance of any god or goddess existing, he must be so mighty and perfect that she is more like to ignore my misserable existance that to pay attention to my ridicously small live and problems.
I've been an Atheist my entire life, and I assumed that nobody actually believed in god until fifth grade, when it came up for the first time. When I actually got my head around the fact that they believed these silly stories, I laughed and thought that they were the stupidest, most gullible people I had ever met.
I was born in China with no concept of belief taught to me, if you asked me i wouldn't have understood, if you explained it to me, I would have said it was childish, it's sad to see a developed country like america to not have it's people have the freedom of religion(not really anyways), once I understood religion, I chose the most reasonable and logical thing, which was to not believe in a god.
@quzishen Wow. That's an interesting story. I don't believe in any god either, bur i think China must have a free religiois system. That's only my opinion.
I don't think I became an atheist. It was just logical. I always was one, only when I was younger it didn't make much sense to say something so obvious. And after that people started to ask me what tragic event caused me to stop believing? I was confused. What do you mean, event? Thinking caused it.
yeah tough guy. hey let me know when you have the balls to say that to my face in real life. or at least make sure you have a life insurance policy that will cover your funeral costs
actually i "became" an atheist when i was about 12 years old, when my grandfather died, every night i couldn't stop thinking about god and afterlife and whatnot and, so i thought to myself, what if there is no god, and being a kid who didnt even know atheism existed was very scary, because my whole family believed and told me all kinds of stories about religion, so that's why i was scared to tell them, but then i realized how many people shared the same beliefs with me and that's why i came out
im Christian i judge no one. i hear you telling a fellow Christian to “oh just shut the fuck up” because he said God bless you non believers and im not gonna say shit? the fuck do you think i am? idc who you are speak badly of God or Christian or Christians i got a problem with you and all those atheist that “helped” God made them. the glory goes to God. plus Christians try to give you eternity in Heaven
@LuckyThreeLeafson Christians try to give eternity to heaven? Orlly, is that why i've been told i'm going to hell, to be damned and hated just for being an atheist? I thought you were being rational, and not to judge those that don't believe, but keep your reliefs, but then found out that you're oppinion was 100% correct. Being told to praise the lord as an atheist is infuriating, sure i've never told someone to stfu, but i have told people to stop saying something in front of me.
well youve been insulting Christians now listen (or read -_-) i might be a Christian but ill fucking brake your jaw if you said anything anti God to me in real life and no you sir are a dumbass a nerd isnt just smart and no atheist is intelligent why deny the one living God? ive heard scientific theories theyer retarded so i bid farewell and God bless you all
@LuckyThreeLeafson Comments like these are one of the few reasons why I am atheist. "NO atheist is intelligent", says you. Maybe you should browse through more videos and find all of the famous atheists who have made contributions to the world that lasted beyond their generation. Judging by how you express yourself, just like how you judge us atheists, you probably couldn't even understand the scientific theories you said you have "read". I bid you farewell, and may logic bless you all.
@LuckyThreeLeafson also, god doesn't exist, get over it. also Nerd: An intelligent, single-minded expert in a particular technical discipline or profession; noun. being a christian you are giving off a horrible impression, and is what creates the irrational stereotype known as Christians never think for themselves. You come to an atheist video about your own thoughts yet portray in a manner that proves us even more correct? Thank you for your time. May logic bless you all. would god want you?

the exact same thing happened to my grandmother God bless her God has a plan for everything. Gods wants her in Heaven her suffering is over. life has pain. why? because adam and eve sinned why? because of satan therefor blame satan not God
The strangest thing to happen to me after I admitted to myself that I am an athiest: I started to REALLY enjoy Christmas. I was free from all the spiritual hangups, and was able to celebrate holidays however I felt appropriate.

I became an atheist at the age of 5.because my church taught little innocent blameless kids that they would go to hell if they did not believe in everything the bible said. What I was thinking was that if GOD knew anything and everything past to present to the future.Isn't GOD just watching a really long movie from heaven.
pendragon186 1 week ago
I was never taught to be either christian or atheist, I was left completely to my own devices about it. And ever since a young age, I started to become atheist. I think the fact that, with no brainwashing either way, I became atheist, and have always found most religions lacking, shows that belief can only come about if is taught to you. And so there can't really be a God. If you left a child in the woods, would he have become a Christian? no chance. And why would God make it so, if he was real?
BobbitTheDog 1 week ago

If you say you are a teacher but discourage question-asking, how can I possibly take you seriously?

troubling that a little girl with access to the internet and a webcam would complain about how "cruel" God is. boo hoo your grandma died. worse things happen to people each and every single day. i'm not religious but i would find it easier to relate to older people who have some genuine insights. not saying the kid doesn't have a point, but she hasn't seen enough of life to conclusively say anything. do ones with adults please. very interesting subject matter nevertheless.

Flobabazz 2 weeks ago
@Flobabazz Same here, closet Atheist. Well, my mom knows, but absolutely everybody else in my entire family (50 or so people who, are Roman Catholics) is ignorant to my belief system. I deconverted when I was in about 6th grade, and have only told like 3 people.
And I agree, that seems to be the argument every Christian puts up. It's sad, really.
When I feel alone, I turn to videos like this and talk to other Atheists.
BostonBoy00 2 weeks ago
@BostonBoy00 I had just recently found this channel and started watching these videos. It helped me confirm my Atheism and I can say that it's boosting my confidence, little by little. I really don't know why people believe in God. Evolution makes a lot more sense to me and it's what I believe.
Yet people think it's such a hate crime to not believe in God.
Flobabazz 2 weeks ago
@Flobabazz Yeah, I can understand why they disagree with Atheism, but there's really no need to hate. Most of Christianity is a joke anyway. A Christian will go to heaven even if he commits a million sins, but a non-Christian who committed zero sins goes to Hell? Wtf lol
BostonBoy00 2 weeks ago

Please don't buy into it.

atheism is true freedom.

But atheism is widely accepted here.
raineWoS 2 months ago
@raineWoS: Ehm - I don't agree, and well, have a guess: I'm German as well. I'd agree that sticking to atheistic ideas might be easier in Germany rather than in the U. S. (sorry, U. S. folks, I just saidit "might"), but yet it's not exactly what I'd call "widely accepted". Forgive me when I disagree, take a minute, think of Bavarians' countryside, then let's talk again :-/
GGGNVideos 2 months ago
@GGGNVideos I admit, it all depends on the region you live in. Bavaria is indeed known to be strictly catholic. But if you look at the whole of Germany, I've seen polls from 2005 where only 47% of the citizens believe in a god and an additional 25% in some kind of spirit force. 25% that are atheists are a lot. And I'd wager that many of the believers are less fundamentalistic here than in the U.S. ;)
raineWoS 2 months ago
@raineWoS: That's for sure. I only mentioned that due to the fact that I'm luckily enough to live in Hamburg, known as a fairly open-minded city. Yet - or maybe, just because - as an atheist, things often feel like I had to agree on Christian standards or shut up. - You, however, seem to have quite an idea of what I'm talking about. Good to know. Regards.

851dash 5 months ago
@851dash answered all the time. open your mind and look at the opportunities of life. What is life we could all be a series of dreams working together as one. Who knows and thats the interesting part that keeps scientist guessing and answering questions.
SGlitches 5 months ago
I ask aal the athiest people one question, waht is the answer of 2+2??asnwer is 4 isnt it?now your mother is ill, your son has died, you are in financial problem so you add 2+2,what you think would be the answer?6?8? no your condition, your problems, your anger or your love does not change the rule.the answer will be 4.God has rules, this whole world and yhis whole universe run by set of rules.understand?who feed animals?who feed birds and other life?you????no no,think about it.
851dash 5 months ago in playlist Atheism or theism
@851dash no, it doesn't make sense. If you are talking about human nature, the set of rules are always changing. (i.e. morality of slavery), if you are talking about the nature itself, the rules are set through trail and error. aka natural selection. winner wins and loser loses. You really don't get the fact that birds have to beat each other for the limit resource of food. and no, the winners are not chosen by God, He just can't take that credit
omggggggggify 5 months ago in playlist TheThinkingAtheist
@omggggggggify No rules are not changing its the scientific theories that are changing all the time,as with the solar system, ptolemi had a different theory, galileo was of another opinion and coopernex then came and derived the the most correct and modern theory.there 1.3 million lives who cares for them?who feeds the black whole?its silly to think we are the only one on this universe?who is the master of millions of other galaxies?whay they follow a certain rule and system?
851dash 5 months ago
@omggggggggify who created the energy?where the first thing came from?life created from water, where the water came from?where the first tree came from?who triggered the big bang?who gave that emassive amount of energy?these are scientific question, and scince have no answers,if hawkings says that scientific rules are the master of universe than who made those rules?you believe that there is no god,you have reasons to believe than the best way is to get the logic of if there is a god than?
851dash 5 months ago
@851dash @omggggggggify I don't know the answer to any of those questions, but doubt deosn't bother me. As Oscar Wilde Said: believing is monotonous, doubt is passionate.
You must see The feynmans Series Chapter 1 here on Youtube to get my point. Im not trying to convince you of anything, I just want you to understand us.
Peace & Love
jolex7 5 months ago
@jolex7 My point is this question of existance of God or non existance of God is the most ultimate question of our lives. If there is no God then we are free to do anything we want to do,If there is God than we are bound to follow him and follow his rules, although there are many relaxations.but my question is if there is a God then I have no answer or excuse to give him, after death, and I will lose millions of years of wonderful life for only 70,80 years, its a bad business in it?
851dash 5 months ago
@jolex7 If doubt doesn't bother, does it bother you in any relationship or in any decsion of your life?its obviously yes, doubt is the start of knowledge with it you cant question anything.I am ready to be athiest if there is no god,but i am ready to follow him if he is there, you need to open, dont just shut the door on him,we might get lucky and found a great logic against God in the future, who know?at the moment I dont see any solid reasons,I am not 100% but 95% sure there is a God.
851dash 5 months ago
@851dash Can you imagen spending all your 70 years of live worshiping a god just to die and discover that the real god was Chaak', Quetzalcoatl, Ra, Alá, Shiva, or any other? You would go to their respective hells because of worshiping the wrong god.
jolex7 5 months ago
@jolex7 but can you imagine spending millions of years in hell or in punishment just because you never thought of a God or never searched about a God or never believe in one?whorship doesn't mean you cannot enjoy your life, enjoy your life do you want to do,but just few limitations.like you have joined a gym,you can exercise, stalk girls, drink juices and water, have a laugh, but they wont allow you to have alcohol, have sex or anyhting against their rules.
851dash 5 months ago
@jolex7 In this world if you search with clean and clear thought that if their is God and i'm convinced then i'll belive in him,i wont run away from him ,i wont make excuses than you would get the one right and true God,you cannot have so many Gods, there is only one ruler otherwise there would've been so many universal fights.so you are literate you have whole life to keep searching the truth and in the mean time live your life like everybody does
851dash 5 months ago
@851dash As I had said earlier, I can't imagine any god or goddness who is concerned about my insignificant live. Is like if I were concerned about a bacteria leaving in China; the only differese is that the gap between me and any god (assuming that she/he exist) is much more bigger than the difference between me and a bacteria. We must do things right, not because a god orders us to do so, but because of the love we have towards the other human beings. That's my personal oppinion. Peace&Love
jolex7 5 months ago
@jolex7 my questioin would be who invented these moral laws?who founded the ethics?read the histroy you would know that all the moral laws and ethics came from hooly books, all the moral came from religion, all the ethics came from religion from God.if know religious people are miserable and disgusting than you cant religion or God for this.dont judge on people judge on the material on the logic on the truth.and creater would always cares about his creature.
851dash 5 months ago
@jolex7 so if i am 95% sure that there is no God than I would be athiest and a proper free man, than i wouldn't follow any rules any laws any moralties than I would do what i enjoy whether its killings or whether its sex or alcohol, selfishness or any sin because than i have no fear no worries of anyone i'll be free soul to enjoy.
851dash 5 months ago
@851dash What is happening here is that you aren't trying to understand us. As an atheis I do follow rules and morals, i don't kill nor still, nor I'm selfish. I don't do any of these things beecause I love other people, I love'em, hance I treat them with respect. I believe that if there is any chance of any god or goddess existing, he must be so mighty and perfect that she is more like to ignore my misserable existance that to pay attention to my ridicously small live and problems.
jolex7 5 months ago
I've been an Atheist my entire life, and I assumed that nobody actually believed in god until fifth grade, when it came up for the first time. When I actually got my head around the fact that they believed these silly stories, I laughed and thought that they were the stupidest, most gullible people I had ever met.

I was born in China with no concept of belief taught to me, if you asked me i wouldn't have understood, if you explained it to me, I would have said it was childish, it's sad to see a developed country like america to not have it's people have the freedom of religion(not really anyways), once I understood religion, I chose the most reasonable and logical thing, which was to not believe in a god.
quzishen 5 months ago in playlist thinking atheist
@quzishen Wow. That's an interesting story. I don't believe in any god either, bur i think China must have a free religiois system. That's only my opinion.
jolex7 5 months ago
I don't think I became an atheist. It was just logical. I always was one, only when I was younger it didn't make much sense to say something so obvious. And after that people started to ask me what tragic event caused me to stop believing? I was confused. What do you mean, event? Thinking caused it.

actually i "became" an atheist when i was about 12 years old, when my grandfather died, every night i couldn't stop thinking about god and afterlife and whatnot and, so i thought to myself, what if there is no god, and being a kid who didnt even know atheism existed was very scary, because my whole family believed and told me all kinds of stories about religion, so that's why i was scared to tell them, but then i realized how many people shared the same beliefs with me and that's why i came out

im Christian i judge no one. i hear you telling a fellow Christian to “oh just shut the fuck up” because he said God bless you non believers and im not gonna say shit? the fuck do you think i am? idc who you are speak badly of God or Christian or Christians i got a problem with you and all those atheist that “helped” God made them. the glory goes to God. plus Christians try to give you eternity in Heaven
LuckyThreeLeafson 5 months ago
@LuckyThreeLeafson Christians try to give eternity to heaven? Orlly, is that why i've been told i'm going to hell, to be damned and hated just for being an atheist? I thought you were being rational, and not to judge those that don't believe, but keep your reliefs, but then found out that you're oppinion was 100% correct. Being told to praise the lord as an atheist is infuriating, sure i've never told someone to stfu, but i have told people to stop saying something in front of me.

well youve been insulting Christians now listen (or read -_-) i might be a Christian but ill fucking brake your jaw if you said anything anti God to me in real life and no you sir are a dumbass a nerd isnt just smart and no atheist is intelligent why deny the one living God? ive heard scientific theories theyer retarded so i bid farewell and God bless you all
LuckyThreeLeafson 5 months ago
@LuckyThreeLeafson Comments like these are one of the few reasons why I am atheist. "NO atheist is intelligent", says you. Maybe you should browse through more videos and find all of the famous atheists who have made contributions to the world that lasted beyond their generation. Judging by how you express yourself, just like how you judge us atheists, you probably couldn't even understand the scientific theories you said you have "read". I bid you farewell, and may logic bless you all.
ElapsedMelody 5 months ago
@LuckyThreeLeafson also, god doesn't exist, get over it. also Nerd: An intelligent, single-minded expert in a particular technical discipline or profession; noun. being a christian you are giving off a horrible impression, and is what creates the irrational stereotype known as Christians never think for themselves. You come to an atheist video about your own thoughts yet portray in a manner that proves us even more correct? Thank you for your time. May logic bless you all. would god want you?
