  • Despite the fact that I have some sympathy for the AI's cause, it is clear to me, that the Chinese state did much more for the human rights, than this organization. China might get most attacks from Human rightists, but in the same time it is most immune to them, because of the overwhelming support from the people.

  • hmmm, sorry but AI was founded by Peter Benenson, an English lawyer and activist and has remained a sovereign NGO since its inceptions in the 1960s. Though they have worked with international organisations such as the UN and European Council on issues, AI has never been linked with national agendas or funding.

    please get your facts right.

  • haha Amnesty International is funded by the National Endowment for Democracy which is a part of the US government

US government talks about Chinese human rights so that the spotlight will be off them

The US government has no regard for any human rights. Just lies and more lies.

  • awesome drum beat

  • Human Rights for All !

  • There should be respect for everyone's basic human rights. There should be fair trials. Justice and dignity for everyone! As far as censorship, China has a long way to go. Freedom... a long way to go, but no reason to stop fighting for it!! During the Beijing Olympics, I believe the Chinese tried to make things look better by covering up certain injustices. They don't want to look bad when the entire world is watching them. Also, to detain people for standing up to injustice is awful.

  • Hey um why the long rants... Go with a video at least. No one wants to Read a book on why you think your better than every one else cause you act like you care. Um i bet you havent had a fund raiser, or a pettion or any thing else of that kind so get of the comp and do something about it.

" If your place in life is a frog, don't talk Jump "

  • Human rights should be observed and honored in all countries, everywhere. No one country has a perfect record when it comes to respecting the rights of its citizens. Look to the Nederlands - they are the closest to getting it right. In fact, most northern European countries are a utopia in comparison to the U.S., China, etc. And guess what? They are all socialist democracies.

For all of you that slather vulgarities instead of thinking: you are slightly less intelligent than amoebas.

  • amoebas fucking rule, fuck you! i'd rather be a vicious virus then a cow ready for slaughter! FUCK YOU!

  • @kfn08

    Worst Olympics ever!!!!

  • Why is China picked on so much? America is constantly invading, and ecconomically enslaving countries, stripping it's own people of their constitutional rights. But hey lets put the spot light on China.

Which is the greater evil, the acceptable civilian colateral damage in 'police acctions/war' or a not always fair legal system, and the powerful abusing their power? Oh wait, that happens in every country anyhow....

  • two wrongs don't make a right...both governments are to blame, as are any that oppress their citizens, use torture etc...why argue over who's worst??

  • I think they are both equally bad Prikly. It's useless arguing which one is worse. Obviously America puts more spotlight on China so that the spotlight won't be on them also.

  • yeah right. the chinese govt called a guns n roses cd titled chinese democracy an 'attack on the chinese nation'.

thats some major insecurity among its leadership. doubtful they will listen to anyone.

  • As a matter of fact, the entire volume of my house is almost certainly less than a third of yours - and that is if you're living in a three room apartment. I don't have much money, but I'm deadly serious about human rights. I'm guessing that the life in my country may well be infinitely better than the life in yours; people here can write whole sentences in English - and even spell. Do you think throwing a swear word into every sentence makes you look cleverer? You really are a waste of space.

  • If everyone took your attitude, then you'd be a slave before you hit forty. Fortunately for you, they don't. We defend your rights so that you can play the bigot. If it were only your selfishness we had to contend with, then it would be a small price. Sadly, absolute power makes people that matter even more short sighted than you.

  • you fucking people live in big houses and act as if you care and shit if the chinese wanted to improve their human rights the people will fight for it...as far as I know there is lots of them ...just mind your own shit and improve the life in your country not other people couintries!!!

  • all the people i know agree with the chinese government. but i know many people in the states and other places that dont agree with their own. clean up in front of your own door, before you complain about others!

  • That is pretty awesome! Good job!!!

Hopefully they finally understood and want to change those things which are mentioned.

How many years will they still try to hide?

At school we have talked about China for months in a lesson called social science.

I know how China is like behind their mask. But many people just see the bride sides of China. It is important that everyone knows about chinese policy.

  • It's wonderful that people did this. What was the outcome of this? Were any policies changed or people released?

  • great !!!

  • bel video; i diritti umani devono essere rispettati in tutto il mondo, contro ogni dittatura e regime, sia fascista sia comunista o altro!
