  • Did tht woman just say "it does minimal damage really"? Lol

  • Seems staged ; )

  • ask your self a Q? why do they train like that ? jews know that thir end is coming .. look that up in the holy Quran .. the rock and the trees are going to speak on that day

  • @yodedo12 umm..jews don't read from the quran

  • i never had any, any regrets when i switched a year ago from wingtsun to krav maga.....i trained over 10! years wt & took one trieout lesson KM & was immediatly stunned by the overall approach....

  • bowing and belts? that isn't a street thing and they said it was all about real life and second i thought it was from Israel not Japan

  • @tomgibson605 Depends where you train. At my KM place there's no bowing or belts, it's more like an MMA gym.

  • I wonder how many of krav maga practitioners actually have the balls to try to attack a guy who's pointing a gun at their head.

  • @TheKeisari its not about the balls its just you trying to get out of that situation as fast as you can. Krav Maga isn't an attack system its defense if u want to learn a good blend of both try krav maga and ju jitsu or karate

  • This is a very old and outdated version of Krav Maga. the most progressive for today´s threats are Worldwide, Alliance, and KMG. Although these guys are great athletes and they practice well. Just one perspective in a thousand.

  • @callofduty497 actually when you yell or shout the opponent gets disoriented ... , friend of mine dealt fith 4 guys just cause he was yelling and made them "be afraid" ..

  • The big guy was the worst, the blue belt was the best.

  • those noises are called kiai, they are releaseing vocal energy and focusing there strength into any attack they do as in combat or"the street" their is no holding back they use the voice to emphasize anything that requires full strength and "resolve".trust me it works this was mostly created during world war 2 so the jewish comunity could have a chance to defend themselves near the end it is used by police military etc... it is the truest form of the martial (military) arts

  • @callofduty497 those noises are called kiai, they are releaseing vocal energy and focusing there strength into any attack they do as in combat or"the street" their is no holding back they use the voice to emphasize anything that requires full strength and "resolve".trust me it works this was mostly created during world war 2 so the jewish comunity could have a chance to defend themselves near the end it is used by police military etc... it is the truest form of the martial (military) arts

  • YEES! YAH! YEES YEES YEES YEES! YAH!

Which, when translated from insane to english, has the same meaning.

  • 5:58 was epic as hell.

  • Krav Maga Came originally from Slovakia. It was discovered by Slovak Jew Imi Lichtenfeld who have to emigrate to Israel because it was in ww2 times. In Israel he improved krav maga.

  • @Aztekss Finally someone who knows how Krav Maga orginated.

  • Real Talk

Jackie Chan movies do not represent the real world in terms of fighting majority of the martial arts today have become glamourized there is still the nitty gritty stuff in the martial art but it mainly has been lost in translation due to the overhype of martial arts movies

A high roundhouse kick would not save from getting attacked

  • Very good job, great demonstration of technique ..

  • 4:12 is my instructor. OMG!

  • @callofduty497

Fat guy does have fun training. Truthfully they asked me to tone it done because it would seem to violent....How come nobody cheers the good guy for fighting back hard....we simulated two guys attacking with weapons....do you think individuals would give up after one try .....of course will never know because every situation is different.......KMF is about life training...Body and Mind.

  • i respect krav maga, but here the 'multiple attackers' scenario wasn't realistic. On the street, you can find yourself being jumped by half a dozen guys at once, all of them swinging fists and /or blades. In that case, its better to guard, burst through, then run for your life.

As for the gun attacks, only an amateur would get too close to his victim - that's just asking to be disarmed. Once the gunman trains the firearm on you from a safe distance, you're in trouble.

    Still, its a cool demo.

  • Comment removed

  • @filly255 it's demo friend....to be able to improvise you have to have a plan first....so prepare to burst and nothing else or be ready for when the burst doesn't work......this about trying to stay alive...there are no absolutes when being combative for your life......even if the gunman is at a safe distance...and says get in the car or trunk..you know you have to try or your not coming back.

this reply is for dialogue ....and to remind everyone that KMF training is a catalyst for real life

  • Comment removed

  • wouldnt fuck around with these guys

  • what guy runs at you with a knife over his head yelling ahhhhh i dont think thats very realistic

  • Krav Maga is an excellent self-defense and fitness system wich more or less anyone can learn easily - once again the secret is keep training, keep training, keep training, etc.

BUT KM also lacks one of the KEY things any Martial Arts know and I think will agree with me: KM lacks DO (or whatever you wanna call it).

And people let me say DO is about the half of your training.

After few months with KM (where I learned lot of cool things and technics) I'm returning I think to stay to Aikido.

  • @martin77mdp I don't understand what you are saying. What do you mean "do"?? Krav maga lacks "do" Training.. Can you explain exactly what you mean??

  • @LenaLena7 I mean KM lacks "Do", the "Budo", the "Code of Conduct" every true warrior MUST follow. This CoC was developed by true masters of traditional Martial Arts to train and educate the mind and soul of the martial artist at the same time they develop their fighting skills. Budo was firstly developed to be sure the practicioner would use his the lethal skills with honor and only when the situation deserves as last resource.

  • @martin77mdp On the other side KM being only a self-defense / close combat body-to-body system lacks absolutely all of this.KM is a contundent system designed to be easy to learn by massive troops and of course lethal.KM is designed and optimized to be effective, lethal and to preserve soldier (or civil) own life. Also is an excellent fitness activity but as I say above it lacks a proper CoC to keep assholes who learns KM injure somebody undeserved or be the new though guy of the block. Sayonara!

  • @martin77mdp You are absoulately correct.. As I train in krav Maga I sometimes get an ARROGANT Vibe from students that they might MISS USE the techniques..

I believe in Karma though.. These "assholes" will eventually get wats coming to them..

A true warrior will use their fighting skills for Righteousness..

MARTIN 77 what do you feel about Bruce lee's JEET KUNE DO??

  • @LenaLena7 Hi there, I think everything is good and bad, you must follow your path and practice what makes you feel better and BE a better human.

My own experience with MMAA is the more I get confident about myself the less I will probably engange in a fight - ever; but if I ever need to use what I've learned, and I really hope I don't, I will do what I have to do.

The most important thing is to find the correct balance: to not injure anyone if u can avoid that and to not let be injured by any1

  • @martin77mdp

an instructor can build an art or tear it down due to his poor character and or his lack of respect for the training....

  • @KravMagaSI totally agreed

  • @martin77mdp I've got a background in BJJ, Kung Fu (wushu and sanshou), and Kali. I've been doing Krav since I moved (working in L 3 now), and I have to say I haven't really had the same vibe as you are discussing. We always go over when to use the techniques, and with a lot of law enforcement people in the class, there's a friendly, but serious atmosphere. True, we train more aggressively than in anything else I've done, but everyone respects everyone else and helps each other along.

  • @Sthpw88 Hi there :)

All what you say is TRUE, word by word and I experienced that myself. What I'm trying to say is KV by itself is a violent because it's designed for stressful situations and without proper teaching on when you should put in practice what you've learned and when not lot of people can do really bad things with what they learned. Traditional MMAA teachs your character as they train your fighting skills and I'm sure you being a seasoned martial artist know that =) Best!

  • @martin77mdp

If you build the person while sharing the art ...you will have an individual with the ability and the will to use his art for the better and not the worse.

...krav maga is the art that we (KMF) use to help build better people......the instructor should put you on a path of self discovery and self control....be careful who you train with....

  • spent a few years training muay thai, and bjj.

then of course, when i need it, the guy has a gun.

krav is next on my list.

  • I like how they used different sized guys in the Video....

  • OMG! Ron Mizrachi's my uncle, that's my uncle there on Good Morning America!!!

  • A lot of people think that Krav Maga doesn't have a belt system. In the military that is true, but when it was developed for civilian use, belts were added. Imi himself wore a belt. Check the KMF website to see pictures.

  • I don't really know if we have the belt system here in Sweden

  • @xtremelyfatales but a lot of schools dont wear belts, i train at a krav maga worldwide center and we have a color system but its more of just a status like KML1 KML2 KML3 and so on

  • @xtremelyfatales

Where l do krav maga we don't use belts.

We have 5 levels of practioner then 5 of graduate then 3 of expert, then theres master.

  • @KingoftheGods123

Same here man. We don't use belts, we have P,1,2,3 etc like you do with your program. Who really cares though?

  • Attack the attack.

  • If you're having trouble finding a place that teaches this, make sure you check all the different organizations. There's three main ones, all with facilities in different areas. I live in MN and was able to find one out by me.

  • I really want to learn this martial art but I can't find this anywhere near I live

  • where do you live? =)

  • Very nice

Mutliple attack was treated one person at a time by getting the two attackers in each others way

    Rick

  • as my instructor shouts as we do the multi attacker drill "LINE UP THE HEADS LINE UP THE HEADS!"

  • that fat guy fights like a puss.

  • Sincerely some techniques will work against the knife some not , the one who takes the wrist and teh guy is flying on his back is unreal, just checked the guy is letting taking his wrist. Is very difficult to do and. if the other guy is stronger than you is very difficult to take this wrist in a knife attack

  • Why are there belts? I started learing Krav because there weren't any. The black belt guys i know just seem like they joined a dojo for a couple years and ended up paying for the belt. Also, why bow? it's not karate or w/e where you respect your opponent. You must train as you will fight; hate your partner for the time you are doing the defence so you can practise agression and turn it off when you're done; then you will do it in a real fight. Good demos tho. Still in love with Krav

  • @cannedvoltage this is the authentic krav maga federation. when you train with someone you show respect. this self defense art might be used on the street but this is not the street, so why wouldnt you show respect?

  • @superwabble Don't get me wrong, respect for your training partner is of the utmost importance, but respect is not limited strictly to bowing to your partner. We are all friends who train together and we sometimes hurt each other and we ask if the other is ok. When we spar, we only go as hard as our oppenent goes and we tone it down if asked. At my school, we don't bow, we train as we fight and that is with the intent of destroying the opponent. Bowing is archaeic and unnecessary.

  • If you attempt the majority of these techniques you will most likely be killed. The gun defenses in this video are extremely low-level and anyone who has ever viewed actual incidents involving firearms knows this will not work.

  • Rockstarr: Exactly. If anyone plans on using these laughable techniques, please ensure your attacker has a fake red plastic gun (or a fuzzy pink slipper). Otherwise there is a huge probabilty you will be killed using this sort of "gun defence".

  • so what you do hard man? you would probably shit yourself if someone pointed a gun to your head, at least with this you have confidence of overcoming the situation, and when its a life or death situation mentality saves lives

  • LOL @ "Mr. Confident BigDaddy12inch"!! Put away your Chuck Norris movies! If anyone has "confidence" from these lame-ass moves, they are sure to die. Personally, I would shit myself first... then do exactly what the gun-holder wants. If the gun is away from my head, I might take the risk of a fight - depending on the situation.

  • lol you talk complete shit, ive done Krav Maga, and it works, type in Fight Quest Krav Maga and you might learn something...i think those big tough MMA guys got quite a beaitng when training in this defence system. And ive done Kickboxing and Kung-Fu too, which dont teach you much that you can use on the street, hoe often do you see someone do a roundhouse kick in a street fight? 0, if they catch your leg you are fucked. Smashing them in the balls and gouging their eyes out on the hand.....

  • Sorry, you have lost me. What does anythying you have posted have to do with the lame-ass gun defences in the video?

I'll let you get back to "gouging their eyes out on the hand". Whatever that means...

  • you do know that there are moves that you can do in kung fu if you foot is caught.

  • ok so you've done what the gun holder wants but he doesn't leave you alone, chances are if this happens s/he is planing on killing you. krav maga teaches in gun defence the first thing you do is moving you and the gun out of the way so that if the gun goes off you wont get hit... after that twist the hand/arm so you can get the gun away from the bad person. kick them in the genitals and run like your ass is on fire. atleast thats what i was taught. if done right it should only take a second.

  • Zacmaster: You hit the nail on the head. "At least that is what's taught". Your chances of living are much greater when listening to the guy pointing the gun at your head than trying some "twist the hand... kick them in the genitals" move. If the gunman isn't completely asleep, your head will likely be removed in the first second of this posted ninja move. These types of moves are best left for Special Ops. that housewives wearing colored Krav maga/judo belts.

  • @MasterBlaster747 it has to work for everyone or else they wouldnt use it. You do things a lot faster when someone has a gun to your head even if you are a "housewife"

  • @Mystgun It is not my aim to slag Krav Maga...I believe in its effectiveness. Like all martial arts - it depends on who is pulling off the moves. I am only questioning out of shape housewives being taught how to disarm a gun when pointed at them. As for a housewife's speed... have you ever timed how quickly it takes to pull a trigger?

  • @Mystgun

I agree with you completely....anyone who trains with us starts at the bottom regardless of back ground...you must learn foundation before gun takeaways......and I know some house wives that would make you eat those words....just sayin friend....never judge the book by it's cover....

one gun seminar doesn't make you able to take guns away....but it will show you what not to try.....

  • Currently Training with Ron hes a great teacher!

  • Grandmaster Haim Gidon IKMA is a member of krav maga founder Imi Lichtenfeld's first training class in the early 1960's. . In 1978, Haim helped Imi co-found the IKMA. Along with Imi and other top instructors, Haim Gidon co-founded the Israeli Krav maga Association (IKMA) which he now the President. and opened his gym and the center for the IKMA in, Netanya, Israel. as the top authority , Imi awarded Haim Gidon 8th dan and stated 9th and 10th dans are next

  • friends grate techniques. colombia

  • I'm still thinking, should I do Jeet Kune Do or Krav Maga? Which one would be the best for self defence?

  • I'm Muslim and wanna learn Krav Maga for self defense only, however, I am thinking that if I go to learn, these ppl might be racist and not let me learn seeing what is going around in the world. But who knows, not everyone is the same so I can't generalise.

  • why not just pray? I hear that does all sorts of magical stuff.

  • Subfightr: Are you trying to be rude? Calling prayer magical? For your information if you are then you have no right in ridiculing my beliefs.

This talk was not about prayer, it was about me trying to learn self defence.

Oh and by the way prayer alone will not get me there, God wants to see you do the practical things.

This is why we knowledge of theory and we do the practical.

  • Is it not magical? How else would one classify a supernatural anything? I did not judge you, I asked you a question. Can I not ask a religious person about prayer? Why get so deffensive?

    Anyway, thanks for the response.

  • Subfightr: I thought u were trying to be rude, but sorry if I reacted the wrong way.

Yes you can ask a religious person about prayer. And the answer is not it is not magical because we as Muslims believe in God and that God gives us everything.

Maybe you can say miracles but never magical.

We could pray to God but if our intentions does not change then God will not help us.

    Actions are judged by intentions.

  • I see, I am atheist so I have a hard time wrapping my mind around the whole idea. I really was curious meant no harm.

Having competed in both Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts for 8 years I would say if you are wanting real self defence look for rape prevention classes where the intention is not to stand and trade with an attacker, but to stop them and then get away as fast as possible. Rape prevention too has no problem telling people to poke the eyes and stomp nuts. Good luck

  • And also it has to be for a good intention, we cannot pray and ask God that I want to learn Krav Maga to start fights, this is wrong.

But we can ask God to help us learn Krav Maga so that we can use it for self defence and only for that purpose.

So asking God should not be about negative things but always something positive, like I want to do better in my exams, or I want to get a good job that does not go against my religion.

  • If you are trying to insult me, do you even know me? Is this how you greet a person? You don't even know me, so you cannot judge me.

  • abc news can eat shit and vomit, do not believe a word they say for they present the information in a way that it's convinient for the government! good for the krav maga guys they got some publicity though

  • As a black belt in Tae Kwon Do who has taught women's self defense classes, I say this is a gift to the martial arts world and to good people in general. Some would call these techniques "dirty". Well, the real world isn't a sparring ring. This is a damned effective art and I, personally, look forward to learning more and broadening my horizens so I can be both a more effective teacher and student!

  • Hey Jeep, I'm actually a brown belt and an instructor of Krav and I highly recommend taking a class. Krav is so simple and effective that anyone can learn it. It's a self defense systems made to go from calm passive state to (I want to rip your head off) state.

  • @jeep1234567890 if there were more martial artists like you, this world would be a place when it comes to the argument of the "best martial art"

  • @jeep1234567890 hehe taekwondo

  • @jeep1234567890 exactly i completely agree i took TKD as well and it is cool and all but no offense to you or anyone who takes TKD but its not really fit for the real world no martial art is well this one is in the real world you dont have time to do those high flying kicks and fancy stuff like you could in a ring.(i know thats a run on sentence o well) I started taking KM and its wonderful for real world scenarios

  • @jeep1234567890 "dirty fighting", WINS. honorable boxing fails unless they are doing the same.

  • @jeep1234567890 yeah know what you mean. did you ever hear "but I don't want to HURT anybody" ?

My expericance is that even in fencing class, with all that safety gear, some students just will not make contact.

  • its just sad how people hide behind a computer and talk a bunch of crap with out knowing anything....... what ever, great video by the way.

  • Thats actually a girl. But yeah, all sort of sounds come out of your mouth during the intense movements. try it and see..

  • the first blue belt guy that enters the tatame does some strange noises that are funny XD

  • very good demonstration! these guys have the eye of the tiger...

  • Very good demonstration, quick, simple and effective. Good work.

  • Regarding Haim Zut's rank, his tenth dan was awarded to him by members of the Israeli Martial Arts Hall of Fame. Grandmaster Zut has never given himself a rank or accepted a rank from his students. To suggest otherwise is a slanderous attempt to demean someone who has transformed the lives of thousands of people -- mostly underprivileged chidren who reside in northcentral Israel. Shame on you.

  • @dbikel

Well said, and although this is true, Eyal Yanilov however, was not only Imi's highest ranking student, he was one of Imi's closest friends. (his ranking is Master level 3/expert level 8 - given to him by Imi) Eyal is also the man responsible for developing many of the techniques with Imi, and the man put in charge of future development of techniques and training methods. You could say hes a big part of the reason Krav is so popular outside of Israel now.

  • justwanme, your posts show ignorance and disrespect. KM was rearanged by Imi in the 1970s for civilian use. Ranks were introduced as a way to organize the material and evaluate the quality of practitioners. There are hundreds of photographs of Imi wearing a belt.

Ranks were established because the style had advanced significantly, not as some sort of backwards nod to asian tradition.

  • Do your homework and research the individuals, their ranks are not self appointed.

  • There are photos on the Krav Maga Federation forum of Rhon Mizrachi receiving his 5th Dan from Grandmaster Haim Zut; and I'll add the photos from the ceremony in Israel as well...

  • No, I mean the founder of the style. I don't like the Japanese influence that the KMA encompasses. A belt system may indicate progression, but it also looks clichéd and quite frankly stupid. KM was never a Japanese art therefore you shouldn't adopt the belt system. Be modern.

  • KMF encompasses*

  • No, thats not what you said in the first post. You specifically said "self appointed Dans". Now that you know you are wrong you type something completely different, trying to refer to the belt system. Hundreds of styles of martial arts use the belt system, yet you have a problem with KM using it. Just because the Japanese invented the belt system doesn't mean it cant be used by others. Going by your logic, since you didn't invent youtube you shouldn't be using it.

  • Lets leave the video comments for the video, if you'd like to discuss anything else about Krav Maga you are more than welcome to post on the forum.

  • Nah, why hide it from view? I'm right to express what I want to say in this comment box, as far as I'm concerned I'm doing nothing wrong by questioning something so trivial as whether he appointed himself that rank. Me going to the KMF forum is stupid, one opposer, against 100s of supporters.

  • Very proud to be associated with KMF. Awesome job guys! :)
