" why is a nice southern lady making trouble for the governer? " "i guess im not your type of lady, and im not your type of southerner, but before you call me traitor well its a plain to say, i was was a child in mississippi but im ashamed of it today" insparational man.
@TeeTar7 most americans are not jerks. most americans are naturally defensive and stand up for themselves. i find i may come off as a jerk to people in other countries a lot but it is usually caused from them insulting me for being american first and then i fight back.
I have to say when I see people like Neo Nazi's and White Supremacists it makes me feel ashamed to be white, and I feel sorry for what African Americans and other races that have been subjected to racism have had to go through.
Flotobots and Fortminor are THE best hip/hop group right now. other then rapping about drugs money sex and hoes..they actually discuss cultural differences and problems with society
anyone else noticed their new album survival story doesent soud anywhere near as good as fight with tools? They sound like theyve gotten to big or whatever, the newer songs dont really have the same types of messages to me =/
Great band - this is the only 'rap' band I actually listen to. I'm more a metal/rock fan. Any other bands like flobots that actually rap about meaningful things other than beating hoes, killing pigs, gang banging 'homies'? I'd be interested in getting some :-)
Can you imagine living in a place where you knew that the people you loved/liked were mistreating people on purpose, and you KNEW that it was wrong? Then going up to your family/friends/whatever and telling them to cut it out? Tremendous courage.

Ha... ok, this woman was obviously a great American, but this is a bit dated. It's like writing a song about Romans trying to stop the Visigoths, it's not really relevant anymore; I mean, there is still racism in America and it's wrong, but not to this extreme, not even close.
well thats like sayin that its not important to celebrate the fourth of july because it was so long ago. come on think before you speak or in this case type
i love this song. i share it with as many people i can. i can listen to it and sing over and over.
