Im confused i am just a weekend wheeler so this isnt my forte, however do these things have 4lo? I see a ton of wheel spin, whats the point of it if you have 4 low or a low gear you should ease up it low and slow. Seems like these things just spin their wheels till their up. :S

only reason they not getting anywhere fast is because they are all roll cage, they have no frame to run off of or a body to add weight, just tires,cage,and engine, i had a cj-7 with a aluminum body on it and i had to put it in 4h just to get out of the grass, it was horable, now i got a aftermarket scrambler body with a 827 hp jet engine running on nitro methane and nitrous shot's.

Can anybody tell me why these buggys all run such high tire pressure? I'm certainly not as experienced an off-roader as the folks building these machines, but whenever I get into bad ground, the first thing I do is let my tire pressure way down, and it makes an unbelievable difference in where I can go. Yet these guys, obviously serious terrain runners, all run their tires pretty firm.

@pdanes2  Most of them are only running 5-8lbs of air in the tires. If they go any lower they tend to cut sidewalls really easy.

@pdanes2 the reason you don't notice the sidewall bag is that they are cross ply tyres. a very VERY stiff sidewall, and those buggies weigh bugger all. but you can bet your bottom dollar they run very very low tyre pressures.

@KnyphsEdge Man theres alot of different axles to run, Dana 44s, 60s, Rockwell 2.5 ton and 5ton. As far as simple man theres all kinds of Trigonometry and Geometry that goes into these cages and pinion angles, and countless other things man

just a quick question i know the propane allows you to run at greater angles but when its tilted side ways does liquid propane run in the motor and if so how does it like liquid propane?

@thebadone1986 Propane vaporizes when it goes through the pressure reducer, so the engine is inhaling propane vapor, rather than liguid gasoline, and it doesn't matter which way it's oriented. You run into problems with oiling if you tilt far enough, but as far as the fuel supply goes, it could be completely upside down and the engine wouldn't care.
