The Persians did not outnumber the greeks 700 to 1. The greeks had 8000 soldiers and the Persians arround 120000. As you said, it was a pass so numbers have almost nothing to say..

In the battle of Thymbra 80000 Persians led by Cyrus The Great won against and army of 150 000 Lydian greeks mainly because of cavalry.

I am not discrediting greek soldiers. They where awesome.

The greeks lost arround 1500 soldiers, the persians 5000. If you consider that the persians had awesome cavalry, but not so good infantry and still managed to win at Thermopylhia its actually a good victory.

they did get the naked part right. Spartans actually fought naked as i've seen millions of paintings which depict them fighting the Persians with absolutely nothing. The Spartans "Went wild", so to speak anyway.

Well probably not, but Thermopylae was funny, as Xerxes tried building a bridge from Persia to Greece, then had the sea lashed 300 times when the Bridge failed. He even threw iron shackles into the sea!

the spartans wore full fledged armour in battle...they trained naked..big difference

if they really fought naked then would be decimated..for future reference use historic fact not paintings of artist's and their romantic view..there's a reason why they aren't historians lol ^^

They arent ripping off that little movie, these are documentarys on wars in gall rome and all other places. 300 the movie was placed in athens, greece i believe these are two different things. but they are all ancient wars. Ever hear about ceaser and shit like that in history class ya thats it..

The battle took place in Thermopylae, refered in the movie "300" as Hot Gates which is what it means in Greek. Also 300 is really inaccurate, historically speaking, as it comes from the comic 300. Also Athenians, did not participated in that battle at all..
