  • ya, i just had my video removed, copyrihgt thing, reported by NBC

  • cool, i was there, not at the opeinng ceremony, but i was there. like when canada won broze in womens hundred m finals i was there, and i have a video to prove it ( not spam, just for the people who dont belive me)

  • I just can't believe that PM Harper didn't attend this great opening ceremony!!! Who cares about the human rights records and shit!!! These are the olympics!!! It is a time when the world unites together as ONE and to forget any world conflicts and so on!!! Stephen Harper should be ashamed!!! No matter what, he doesn't have any support for his Canadian athletes!! I hope his damn Conservative Party loses the next fed. election because I am tired of how he uses cheap tactics just to get support!!

  • 15 medals now and still going . . this could end up being ONE of the best years Canada has had in a long time for the SUMMER olympics. . . .

  • canada has no shame..all they care about is hockey >>lost pride is a sad year

  • Day 8 brings in 3 medals at long last!

  • i know people have been hating on Canada for not getting any medals, but I still think it will come, especially in rowing and track we should get some medals.

    But honestly, for the entire country of Canada I don't think all of our minds are focused on these Summer Olympics in Beijing, I think us Canadians are already looking forward to Vancouver 2010 and that we aren't paying AS MUCH attention on these summer olympics. Just a thought?

  • Olympics coming to my hometown.Woot.

    Canada isnt very much of a summer olympic country.We are more of a winter

    GO CANADA

  • LETZZ GO CANADA!!!U can do it ...BRING HOME THE GOLD!!!GOOD LUCK!

  • O.O that's a lot of people

    GO CANADA !!!

  • the red is for the ceremony but the turban itself is religious. Brrraaapppp!!!

  • your actually wrong : )

    Hair = Religion

    Turban = Culture

  • uh no, in sikhism, a turban is also necessary to cover your hair.....

  • if that was the case why is it only a small % of sikh woman were turbans ? if actually look at the 5ks you understand that im right

    but its nice to have a disscusion about this.

  • a small percentage wearing turbans doesn't justify it as cultural. Guru Gobind Singh Ji told all Singhs and Kaurs to wear turban to cover hair....read Dasam Granth or SGGS

    although you make an interesting point

  • Hair and Turban are religion!!

  • 'Those are the field hockey players, wearing their Turbans, in respect of the ceremony'

    They are also wearing in proud of their Sikh religion. They make people proud of being Singhs. Respect
