it's the guitar that makes his vibrato sound so sweet. of course technique has alot to do with it, but unless you have a gibson.. it's not going to sound much like his.

nothing to do with the guitar, its a combination of the ernie ball extra slinky strings(purpale package) and very large string bends, and a wah pedal

haha... wow. well, according to this guy, the type and quality of the guitar have nothing to do with sound. hmm.. who knew I had it wrong for all this time. dumb me.. I always figured when you buy a 2500 gibson, it would sound much better than a 100 dollar fender starter guitar.what was i thinking..

well if your talking in vibrato terms then yes of course you can do it with any guitar. there is an obvious tonal varience to a gibson but i've been playing a 300 epiphone and i'd say to does well.

In fact there are a good few people up on here that have tweaks there amps alittle to make there strats sound very similar. plus for GNRlie a thing that slash often does is tune down half a step which just makes it that much easier :)

yes it is, the bland isn't improvising of course, but slash is improvising in a set key at a set tempo
